Former Electus CEO and Shine International prexy Chris Grant has launched a new distribution company, Osmosis Global, which he will unwrap in time for next week’s Mipcom conference. Investor and entrepreneur Marc Pierce is backing the new venture.
Osmosis Global’s initial sales slate includes projects from Warm Spring Productions (Fox Nation’s “Yellowstone One-Fifty with Kevin Costner”), V10 Entertainment/Vin Dibona Prods. (The CW’s “Totally Funny Kids” and “Totally Funny Animals”), Mrw Prods. The factual giant has ordered two-part series The Bible From Space (w/t) from All3Media-backed Caravan.
The documentary will reveal the truth behind the biggest stories from the Old Testament with Lin taking a journey through the Holy Lands and looking at the historical events that might lie behind biblical stories such as the Exodus and the parting of the Red Seas as well as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Im Global Television announced on Tuesday that it is launching an unscripted and alternative division, with Emmy-winning producer Phil Gurin chosen as its leader. As president of unscripted and alternative content, Gurin will report directly to CEO Stuart Ford. Gurin will lead a team that will create, acquire and co-develop ideas in all unscripted and alternative genres. Gurin’s team will also work with brands and broadcasters to initiate new creative revenue models and expand with production and development offices overseas.
