With a new single out from her forthcoming album, a book partly about her own life just optioned for a docuseries she’ll produce and a new baby daughter to parent, Paris Hilton is plenty busy as it is. But she’s also nearly three years into launching her own company, 11:11 Media, along with co-founder Bruce Gersh, who serves as president and chief operating office. The pair stopped by Variety’s Entertainment Marketing Summit last week to talk about jugging it all and the future outlook for a venture Hilton prides herself on keeping on the cutting edge.

Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Media has optioned Sarah Ditum’s book “Toxic: Women, Fame, and the Tabloid 2000s,” which examines pop-culture misogyny in the early 2000s through the stories of nine female celebrities of the era — including Hilton herself. The company plans to adapt the book as a docuseries.
“Toxic” offers a deep dive into the stories of Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Kim Kardashian, Chyna and Jennifer Aniston. The book explores their battles with fame, their efforts to control their own narratives, and their various degrees of success and failure in doing so. Ditum portrays her subjects as nuanced individuals confronting the challenges of celebrity amid a “ruthless and rapidly evolving media environment” and “how their experiences influenced broader perceptions of identity, body image, relationships and ambitions that still resonate today,” per 11:11 Media’s announcement.

Meredith is making deep cuts as it continues to absorb Time Inc. into its operations. But execs say the company is going full bore on its strategy to make PeopleTV — which combines programming from its People and Entertainment Weekly brands — into a bigger multiplatform entertainment property.
PeopleTV is about to become a full 24-hour linear TV channel, distributed through internet-streaming startup FuboTV — its first pay-tv deal. In another new extension, PeopleTV next week is set to launch “Chatter,” its first live talk show on Twitter, hosted by TV personality Rocsi Diaz.
Details of how PeopleTV will be available on FuboTV are yet to be announced. Susanne Mei, general manager of PeopleTV, said the amount of live and on-demand content on the virtual pay-tv service will be “substantially larger” than what’s available on the PeopleTV app. It will also be the first place to catch many PeopleTV premieres before they become available for free.

Fishbowl Worldwide Media has built a network of YouTube channels from the Ugc content in its America's Funniest Home Videos library. For the official Afv YouTube channel, however, Fishbowl is enlisting some help. The production company has reached a multi-year agreement Fullscreen. Thanks to the partnership, Fullscreen will head the development of Afv's YouTube presence while also supporting the channel with its own creators. Afv's YouTube channel launched about a year ago, but it hasn't made as much of an impact as some of Fishbowl's other channels; while CuteWinFail and Petsami have both racked up more than 50 million views, Afv has scored just a tick more than five million. Fullscreen, though optimization and copyright protection (there are many fan-run Afv channels that could be brought under the official hub's umbrella), hope to greatly increase that number. “We are very excited to be collaborating with Fullscreen to market, engage and reach new audiences on YouTube.
