Netflix wants to meet you on the dusty road at sundown for a little duel. “Godless,” a new limited series by Scott Frank and Steven Soderbergh, recently started casting Native American roles for the New Mexico–based project. The predicted six-episode mini will focus on an outlaw who finds himself stranded in a mining town after trying to escape a gang that’s out for his blood. Rene Haynes Casting is currently filling roles for the production that looks to start shooting this summer. Get ready to draw, cowboy! If you’re lost, you can look and you will find that ABC wants you, “Time After Time.” The network has started production on the non–Cyndi Lauper inspired pilot by “Scream” boss (of both the MTV property and beloved slasher films) Kevin Williamson. The project follows a young H.G. Wells and his time machine as they traverse different eras, going on adventures.

A few months back we saw the first trailer for Will Ferrell’s Spanish language comedy Casa Mi De Padre. And now we are getting another look at the film although it wouldn’t be really fair to call it a trailer since it is so short. Still it gives a look at what to expect when the movie hits theaters in March. The trailer has a combination of irrationality and genuine humor and it reminds me of what makes Will Ferrell so hilarious. The fact that satirizes telenovelas is something that got my attention. Hopefully the idea of the film being entirely in Spanish doesn’t scare movie audiences away from the film. Check the second trailer for Casa Mi De Padre below.

Celebrity Twitter accounts make some first-look reveals pretty easy. I'm surprised it has taken this long for Arnold Schwarzenegger to tweet out a cast photo from his new action movie The Last Stand. And I'll say this: in this pic at least, he looks the part of an aged lawman who has retreated to a sheriff post in a small down. That's Jamie Alexander with Arnie in the header pic; see the full image below for a glimpse of Luis Guzman and Johnny Knoxville as well. [1] The block quote below is the plot of the film, from the press release announcing the start of filming. The cast also includes Zach Gilford, Forest Whitaker, Rodrigo Santoro, Eduardo Noriega, Peter Stormare, Harry Dean Stanton and Genesis Rodriguez. The Last Stand will be released on January 18, 2013. Schwarzenegger stars as Sheriff Owens, a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what...

'I Saw the Devil' director, Jee-woon Kim's 'The Last Stand' officially got into production late last month. The star of the film is none other than action veteran, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who posted a photo from the set. It's with him, Jaimie Alexander, Johnny Knoxville, and Luis Guzmán. You can check that out below thanks to the actor's TwitPic. But first, a little back-story on what the former politician is returning to the big screen for: "Schwarzenegger stars as Sheriff Owens, a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after leaving his Lapd post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border...

Here's a massive post-weekend catchup casting roundup, with a headlining turn from Jean-Claude van Damme. How can you resist the Muscles From Brussels? Answer: you can't. Just give in to his suave, over-confident appeal. After the break you'll find details about: Jcvd taking part in a sci-fi film called UFO, Danny Glover joining the cast of a different sci-fi thriller, Mentryville, Sullivan Stapleton becoming the latest member of the Gangster Squad, Nico Tortorella from Scream 4 joining Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan in an indie, and What to Expect When You're Expecting adds more. Kicking off with UFO, the story here (per THR [1]) is that the writer/director, Dominic Burns, got Jean-Claude Van Damme to take a part in the film by emailing the actor's wife. That works? Evidently so! He'll be "a retired military advisor," but we don't know how big the part actually is. The film is about...

One of the strangest stories to pop up this summer was the announcement that Will Ferrell's next film, Casa de mi padre, will be entirely in Spanish. Why is this strange? Because not only is it well documented that American audiences have an aversion to anything in a foreign language, but it's unknown if Ferrell even speaks the language. Fortunately, not only do we know that the two newest cast additions are fluent, but they add quite a bit of gravitas. THR reports that Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, who previously worked together on the Oscar-nominated Y tu mama tambien, have joined the cast. Though the details of the plot are being kept under wraps, Luna will play Ferrell's brother while Garcia Bernal will play a family friend. Funny or Die Presents director Matt Piedmont will soon be directing Will Ferrell in the Spanish-language comedy Casa de mi padre. That's odd enough, and now Ferrell has two great co-stars: Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, who are making quite the career of working in films together. (They've acted opposite one another in Y tu mamá también and Rudo y Cursi, and exec produced films like Sin Nombre and Sólo quiero caminar, in which Luna also starred.) But working opposite Farrell could be something altogether different.
