Season ten of The Fairly OddParents premieres on Nickelodeon, Friday, January 15, at 7:30pm Et/Pt. In advance of the new season, Nick has ordered seven more episodes. This increases the tenth season order to 20 episodes.
Season ten of The Fairly OddParents introduces new character, Chloe Carmichael, voiced by Kari Wahlgren. Chloe is a little girl with whom Timmy has to share his fairies. She means well, but sometimes goes too far.

So Gravity was #1 for a third week in a row, we all know that, and while it made $1 million less than estimated, it's still at $169.5 million domestically on its way to becoming one of the highest grossing films of the year. As for the week's new releases we'll begin with Carrie, which still finished #3 behind Captain Phillips as both films dropped below estimates. Carrie ended up with $16.1 million for the weekend, about $9 million below tracking. With the lackluster response to Carrie and Evil Dead before it, maybe this horror remake idea isn't all that great after all. Then again, I doubt that will stop more of them from happening. Right behind Carrie was the new Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone feature Escape Plan, which did modest business at $9.8 million for the weekend. It's interesting to evaluate the box office result for Sony's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. On the surface it isn't all that impressive as it finished with $34 million, only $4 million more than the first one brought in back in 2009. However, that first one came in with a reported $100 million budget while the sequel's production figure was trimmed down to $78 million. That's a considerable savings and to have made $4 million more on the opening weekend means they must be smiling over there. Expect #3 to be announced soon. Breaking free of its limited release last weekend it appears Rush just doesn't have what American audiences want, at least not in droves. The film managed an unspectacular $10 million this weekend, but Universal can't be too upset since they didn't pay out the nose on this one as they are only distributing the pic domestically. But then again, it's overseas where this...
