Darryl R. Peebles
Darryl R. Peebles began life in Alabama and became active in a variety
of experiences, including carpentry, sports, art, singing, magic, and
entertaining. Beyond high school he helped found a fraternity, lettered
in track and field, and graduated from Auburn University. He made an
animated/live action safety film, "Stop and Think," for a major textile
company in the early 1970's that was used in the USA. Later he earned a
Masters Degree from SBTS in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Darryl
completed a building mission trip to Guatemala, Central America after
the earthquake in 1976. He established a Recycle Papoer/Recycle People
Program in the late 1970's. Beginning in the 1970's Darryl shifted his
entertainment to a variety of settings as Miracle the Magician. While
serving as a pastor in local churches and volunteering as a
firefighter, he has been able to help establish one of the largest
hunger walks in the USA and helped found a homeless shelter/kitchen
center pulling together over 200 churches. He served as an assistant
director on an award winning film, "Spirit of Celebration," which was
distributed across the USA. He and Daryl R. Peebles from Hobart,
Tasmania, Australia, wrote and starred in "Darryl, Daryl, and No
Larry," a life stage show that was turned into a DVD. He, along with
the other Daryl, were both guests on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He
has been interviewed throughout the USA and world. He portrayed "The
Old Man" in the short film, "Cantilever." He was an extra in an Orange
Goody's commercial with Richard Petty and Tony Stewart. He was a Zombie
in the film, "Epidemic Z." He continues to be the key note speaker for
various settings and uses the art of illusion to enhance various
entertainment venues. He has developed numerous characters from
jesters, to superheros, to old men, to tall women, and to many more.
Darryl balances a life of public service, creative endeavors, and
entertainment. Darryl recently worked as an extra in Dark Awakening
by Dean and Starr Jones, working with Lance Henriksen, Valerie Aslynn,
and Jason Cook. (several scenes and several close up facial expressive shots.
It was at the Canne Film Festival and has opened in theaters nationwide.
