There was honesty in the air on Wednesday night.
Phil Collins, ’80s icon and former Genesis frontman, proved he can be painfully honest about the more taboo subjects from his highly public life, and still toss out jokes like Halloween candy.
Dressed in a zip-up hoodie, dark jeans, sneakers and sporting a fedora, Collins addressed some of the boldest revelations from his new memoir, Not Dead Yet, to a crowd of fans in New York City.
“I’m a person who bears a lot of guilt,” Collins told interviewer, columnist journalist Anthony Mason. But, beyond this type of soulful declaration,...

The Genesis frontman's 37-year-old musician son was released on bail after being detained by British authorities.
Legendary musician Phil Collins' son Simon Collins was arrested in England this weekend for possession of illegal drugs, according to People Magazine.
He was arrested and questioned by police in Wiltshire, England on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and for the possession of Class B drugs. He was then released on bail.
According to a police statement released to People, "The bail will run until the end of August."
Unlike his half-sister Lily Collins, who focused her efforts on acting, Simon, 37, followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a musician.
Simon made his stage debut at 12 alongside his father and went on to become the lead drummer and vocalist for the British-based band Sound Of Contact.
Simon is the son of Phil Collins and his first wife Andrea Bertorelli.

Phil Collins has vowed to never marry again. Despite being very happy in his relationship with newsreader Dana Tyler, the former Genesis star, who has been married three times, to Andrea Bertorelli, Jill Taverman and Orianne Cevey, has no plans to ever tie the knot again.
"She's a very sweet girl," he said. "Sweet lady but I'm not going to get married again. I think I'm better off on my own."
The 59-year-old singer, who now lives in Switzerland so that he can be near his sons Nicholas, nine, and Matthew, five, from his marriage to Orianne, also revealed he has such a good relationship with his ex-wives that he often goes out for dinner with all three of them.

Phil Collins thinks music ruined his love life. The former Genesis star, who has been married three times, to Andrea Bertorelli, Jill Taverman and Orianne Cevey, admits he would have given up his career had he known his determination to be a success would "cost him so dearly".
"In the 70s, Genesis did three American tours a year, three European ones and a trip to Japan," he said. "My first wife, Andrea, told me if I toured like that, the marriage wouldn't last. When I got back, she'd left me. If I'd known touring would cost me so dearly, I wouldn't have done it."
The 59-year-old star is now trying to live a quieter life, and spends his days in Switzerland so he can see his sons Nicholas and Matthew, from his marriage to Orianne, which ended in 2007. He said, "I'm happy being at home. I've said yes to things all my life.
