House of the Dragon’s second season is getting closer to its release date on Max, and the never-ending details about the upcoming installment give us all an even scarier feeling of anticipation than ever before.
The show’s season 2 will finally bring the viewers a long-awaited fight for the ultimate power between the Blacks and the Greens, and, given House of the Dragon’s showrunner’s latest revelations, the full-scale war will get to the level that only Game of Thrones and some Marvel flicks could reach so far.
Despite recent heavy criticism regarding its creative decisions, the MCU is still like nobody else when it comes to turning on-screen big battles into something extremely realistic. With no connection to Marvel whatsoever, Game of Thrones was also a decent game player when it was time to blow everyone away with epic fight scenes, and now it seems like the...

HBO’s House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones, is about to release its second season. Not much attention was paid to House Stark in the first season of House of the Dragon, hence it is one of the Houses that fans overlooked. The arrival of one of the most well-known Starks in history will bring us to Winterfell in Season 2. However, not all Starks (or their bastards) will be getting equal screen time.
Sara Snow might’ve negligible appearance on House of the Dragon
Besides Lord Cregan Stark, fans are looking forward to seeing Sara Snow, Jacaerys’ alleged love interest from Fire & Blood. However, she might not have a lot of screen time, as writer Sara Hess recently said this to EW about her, “Expect very little.”
She added: “Our Pov is the Targaryens, and our Pov is split between King’s Landing, Dragonstone, and then when Daemon goes to Harrenhal.

In the first season of House of the Dragon, we were shown many representatives of the main houses of the Seven Kingdoms: in addition to the Targaryens, we saw the Hightowers, Velaryons, and Lannisters.
However, the family that played a key role in Game of Thrones was unrepresented in the first season of House of the Dragon. Did the silent and stern Northern Starks really not participate in the events that were about to bring blood to the Seven Kingdoms?
Of course they did, and even played an important role, while managing to be true men of honor, which is extremely difficult in the conditions of war.
The hero of these events was the young, but already experienced Cregan Stark, who will appear in the second season. Cregan, played by Tom Taylor, can be seen in the Black trailer standing shoulder to shoulder with Jacaerys.

The second season of HBO’s House of the Dragon, a precursor to Game of Thrones, will premiere shortly. One of the Houses that viewers of House of the Dragon missed in Season 1 is House Stark, which was not given much attention in the previous season. Season 2 will take us to Winterfell, thanks to the entrance of one of the most well-known Starks ever. We finally have a first look at Cregan Stark in House of the Dragon’s Season 2 final trailer.

Ever since the release of HBO’s eight-seasoned highly anticipated Game of Thrones in 2011, the series gave birth to several fan discussions and theories. Considering Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen as one of the most influential characters in the show, there sparked a debate surrounding her, that still hasn’t died down, years later.
Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen
Apart from gaining global fame, Emilia Clarke’s journey as Daenerys Targaryen struck a chord in many fans’ hearts, who then turned her into the HBO show’s most-loved character. However, despite her good deeds and loving nature, the last season saw Daenerys struggling to fit in at Winterfell as if the North didn’t care about her sacrifices. This particular behavior sparked debate among Redditors about whether or not she sacrificed for the North.

By the notorious Game of Thrones finale, few OGs remained around. The Tyrells, the Targaryens, the Martells, the Bolton, the Freys, and many others essentially went extinct and lost everything. The Lannisters, the Baratheons, and the Starks lost almost all their heirs save for the most unlikely ones. Many Great and small Houses fell to never rise again, with new dynasties coming to take their places.
But one unlikely Great House managed to sit out all the danger, and its lord didn’t lose anything; in fact, he gained much more than he had at the start of the story.
House Arryn Started the Chaos in Westeros
If we pretend to ignore Petyr Baelish’s active participation in these events for a second, it was Jon Arryn, Robert Baratheon’s Hand of the King, who started the entire ordeal that led to the War of the Five Kings. Jon Arryn...

House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel series that debuted on HBO and Max in 2022 and is returning soon, focuses on House Targaryen, generations before the events of the original Game of Thrones series.
They are, of course, the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), one of the main characters on Game of Thrones, whose series-long plot was about wanting to recapture her family's throne.
While House of the Dragon focuses on that particular family, we did get occasional glimpses of other familiar houses in the first season of that show, including the Baratheons. Also, there are fleeting mentions of Houses such as Arryn and Stark.
While the members of House Stark were among the most important characters throughout Game of Thrones, none of the Starks were major characters In the first season of House of the Dragon.
However, it appears that it is about to change.

George R. R. Martin’s incredible vision and spectacular scale in Game of Thrones was one that was coveted by many but treasured by few. Those few were allowed to extend their arms in order to reach for their dreams after HBO offered them immortality through an opportunity to star in the series. But it was one among the select few who was born with the greatest luck of them all.
Game of Thrones – a still from Season 8 [Credit: Home Box Office Inc.]George R. R. Martin’s absolute authority was never meant to stretch this long with the original series. However, his mastery over such incredible story arcs and unimpeachable plotlines makes the audience feel the weight of patience.
It was this great mind that eventually birthed the character arc of Kingslayer Jamie Lannister and his greater-than-life fate that was scratched out with a single stroke of the author’s pen.

The owner of an independent television station in Detroit says his $75 million deal to sell the station is likely not going to materialize after it drew strong opposition at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
In a phone interview with The Desk on Thursday, Wadl-tv (Channel 38) owner Kevin Adell said he is ready to accept that a pending deal to sell the station to Mission Broadcasting was “dead on arrival” when he sought regulatory approval from the FCC last May.
The deal would have seen Mission acquire the station from Adell using funds provided by Nexstar Media Group, according to documents submitted to the FCC last year. Once the deal closed, Mission would have transferred operational control of the station to Nexstar through a shared services agreement, a partnership that is similar to one Nexstar has with other Mission-owned broadcast stations.

Cardona fired back with a chop. Cardona was searching for a superplex, but Copeland countered with a bulldog off the top for a near fall! No fandom has seen death quite like the fandom of Game of Thrones. Neither the widely popular television series nor the source material ever shied away from killing people left and right. While some deaths were too gut-wrenching to watch and made viewers shed some serious tears, others were quite satisfying to watch, to say the least.
A still from Game of Thrones
It’s always good to see the bad guys finally pay the price of their actions with their lives. Bonus points if the death ends up being as gruesome as possible and Game of Thrones is no stranger to this. From Viserys Targaryen to Tywin Lannister, the series rewarded fans with some of the most satisfying deaths to have graced the television industry but which death did the Game of Thrones creators find to be the best amongst them all?

With their comic Minor Threats, actor and comedian Patton Oswalt and TV writer Jordan Blum found unexpected success with their title focused on the travails of underappreciated and overlooked D-list villains.
Now, a background character in the comic that is about background villains is getting his moment in the spotlight.
From the World of Minor Threats: Barfly teams up the duo, who created Hulu’s stop-motion Marvel series M.O.D.O.K., with comics author Kyle Starks and artist Ryan Browne, the illustrator of indie hit Eight Billion Genies. It tells a coming-of-age story about an insect monster-man, seen previously as a silent but oh-so-cool-looking humanoid fly in a punk jacket in certain panels of the Threat comics. Now, he is searching for his identity in the criminal underworld of Twilight City. Dark Horse Comics is publishing the four-issue mini-series starting in July.

House of the Dragon just released two trailers for Season 2, and fans are understandably hyped. Making fans choose between the two women at the center of the story – Rhaenyra and Alicent – the two trailers tease the two sides of the Dragon dance – the Blacks and the Greens. With old faces returning and new faces joining the fray, fans of the series finally got the glimpse of one very important character for the very first time.
Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon season 2
The House Stark of the North has so far been absent from the Dragon tale. With all the events happening in the Southern parts of Westoros, the show had not ventured to the North until now. But with the story progressing, the new trailer has finally given us a glimpse of the Starks – mainly one Cregan Stark – the Wolf of the North. And fans...

It's been almost five years since Game of Thrones wrapped up its wildly popular run on HBO.
But while the show might have consistently delivered stellar ratings, it didn't always leave viewers feeling satisfied.
In fact, half a decade after the controversial Game of Thrones series finale, any mention of the series is still more likely to elicit complaints than fond memories from people who would've once described themselves as devoted fans.
Why such a rapid reversal of opinion?
Well, Game of Thrones' lackluster final season is the most obvious culprit, but the criticism began long before Daenerys turned to the dark side.
The show's ability to generate controversy and debate among fans was one of the keys to its early success.
Unfortunately, by the time Bran Stark came out of left field to claim the Iron Throne, the chorus of criticism was far louder than the smattering of praise.

Here’s How House Of The Dragon Characters Are Connected To Game Of Thrones Characters ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
The House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer has left everyone waiting eagerly for what’s to come, and before it’s here, let’s brush your knowledge on it in connection to Game of Thrones. Firstly, the series is set over 150 years before Game of Thrones took place. Therefore, the characters from Got might not appear in this spin-off, but the houses in Got are also present in the Hotd. The show’s primary focus is the Targaryens and their downfall, but other Houses have appeared in the first season, and more will be seen in the upcoming one. From Lannisters to Baratheons and Starks, here’s a quick guide.
The first season of the HBO series was just a tease and had set the stage for the Dance of the Dragons to begin.

When Game of Thrones first aired on HBO, the fantasy epic story generally focused on House Stark and House Lannister. The Starks were positioned as the good guys of the story, while the Lannisters were almost never up to any good.
But with House of the Dragon, the focus shifted to House Targaryen. Sure, Daenerys represented the bloodline for a long time on Game of Thrones, but the group never got the attention they're receiving now, thanks to the new spin-off series.

For as much as HBO's "Game of Thrones" became known for its excessive sexuality and big-budget blockbuster sequences, it had gained notoriety early on for something simpler: Killing off fan-favorite characters, and refusing anything like a happy ending. While that came straight from the source material, George R.R. Martin's long-running series of fantasy novels, it also defied conventional television wisdom, leaving the show with a complicated legacy.
For instance, the death of de facto protagonist Ned Stark (Sean Bean) in the penultimate episode of the show's first season was shocking and brutal. Considering he was played by a movie star and was one of the few genuinely good-hearted people in the show, his execution spoke to the show's ambition. If he could die, anybody could. And they often did.

Sarah Hyland found herself in an awkward position during a recent double elimination on a recent episode of Love Island.
Hyland, host of the reality competition series, was challenged by contestant Mike Starks when another contestant Vickala “Kay Kay” Gray proclaimed that she wanted to dump herself, thus being eliminated from the competition.
Gray chose to leave after her boyfriend Keenan Anunay was voted off by the other contestants.
“I would like to voluntarily also leave,” Gray explained. “I feel like I found what I came here for, and I’d like to leave with Keenan.”
Gray started dating Anunay at the beginning of the season because of his good energy. After announcing her decision, Hyland asked Gray if she was sure about making that decision.
“Before you go anywhere, I just want to make sure that you’re absolutely happy with your decision,” Hyland explained, and Gray reassured Hyland with “no regrets.

It was a red wedding episode on Love Island USA in one of the most dramatic dumpings in the show’s history. The drama is usually between the islanders but this time host Sarah Hyland was caught in the middle.
The tension is always high when Hyland shows up in the villa as islanders know someone is most likely being dumped. When the show’s host revealed that Keenan Anunay was the boy with the least votes and therefore being dumped, a series of events was triggered.
Vickala Gray, who was coupled up with Anunay, asked to speak during the dumping ceremony and said, “I would like to voluntarily also leave. I feel like I found what I came here for and I’d like to leave with Keenan.”

We all know "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" to be one of the funniest films of all time. What the film gets less credit for is being remarkably ingenuous in its use of limited resources. They may be regarded as a legendary comedy troupe now, but when they were creating their take on the King Arthur legend, they only a few hundred thousand pounds to work with. Adjusted for inflation, it still wouldn't even be £3 million five decades later. If you haven’t yet seen Sunday’s series finale of “Succession” — spoiler alert! — here are some things that didn’t happen.
The screen didn’t suddenly go black while the Roy family ate onion rings at a diner in New Jersey. Roman didn’t experience an epiphany at a hippy retreat in California and dream up an iconic Coca Cola jingle. Kendall didn’t wake up in Suzanne Pleshette’s bed.
Exactly where “Succession’s” last episode will rank in the litany of TV’s greatest finales is for future pop culture historians to decide, assuming pop culture historians even bother to pay attention to that sort of thing in the future. Let’s face it, series finales — like the ones that ended “The Sopranos,” “Mad Men,” and “Newhart” — just don’t pack the same punch they used to, even for smart, buzzy, satirically dark dramas produced by the network formally known as HBO.

President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate veteran telecommunications lawyer Anna Gomez as an FCC commissioner. The president also announced the renominations of FCC commissioners Brendan Carr (a Republican) and Geoffrey Starks (a Democrat) for five-year terms.
If Gomez is confirmed by the Senate to serve as an FCC commissioner, Democrats will have a 3-2 edge at the agency, which is led by FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, a Democrat. Trump appointee Nathan Simington is the other GOP commissioner. Biden’s previous pick for the open seat at the FCC, Gigi Sohn, withdrew her name from consideration after her confirmation was stymied along party lines.
Gomez currently works at the State Department, where she serves as a senior adviser for international information and communications policy in the bureau of cyberspace and digital policy. President Biden has found a new nominee to serve as a Democratic commissioner for the FCC, a critical post that, if confirmed by the Senate, would break a 2-2 deadlock at the telecommunications regulatory agency.
The nominee is Anna Gomez, a veteran government attorney.
Currently an advisor for international information and communications policy in the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, Gomez previously served as deputy administrator for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, and also worked for 12 years in various roles at the FCC.
Gomez’s nomination is a critical one for the FCC, which has a Democratic chair in Jessica Rosenworcel, but an effective 2-2 tie between its Republican and Democratic members. Biden’s first FCC nominee, Gigi Sohn, had been nominated in late 2021, but pulled herself from consideration earlier this year. Sohn, an outspoken supporter of net neutrality, had faced a bruising campaign from lobbyists tied to the telecom industry.

This article contains spoilers for season one of House of the Dragon and for all of Game of Thrones.
In a 2018 video released on YouTube by publishers Random House when promoting the release of Fire & Blood (the book HBO’s House of the Dragon is partially based on), George R.R. Martin was asked “Which Targaryen is your favorite?” He said, “I’m notorious for my love of gray characters, and one of the grayest characters in the entire history of Westeros is Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince.” Truer words were never spoken – Daemon Targaryen is an enigma, a highly unpredictable character who seems sometimes to be the villain and sometimes the hero of the show. But we have seen this type of character in Westeros before, in Game of Thrones’ Jaime Lannister.
There are quite a few superficial similarities between Jaime and Daemon. They are both blonde; they are both...

If HBO has its way, pretty soon the average TV-watcher is going to know more about the Targaryen dynasty than their own respective country’s history.
According to an exclusive report from Variety, HBO and parent company Warner Bros. Discovery are actively discussing a second Game of Thrones prequel that would follow King Aegon I Targaryen a.k.a. Aegon the Conqueror as he invades and ultimately unifies the continent of Westeros roughly 300 years ago in the franchise’s timeline. Though no writers are yet attached to the project, HBO is also considering a “feature” component for the series and might attempt to produce a feature film that would lead in to the eventual series.
The backstory of Aegon’s Conquest has been well established in both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon but for those who require a Targaryen history refresher, allow us to help. A little...

Even before Game of Thrones ended, HBO was already exploring options to keep the franchise going. Several potential Game of Thrones spinoffs were in development before House of the Dragon finally moved ahead, but that hasn’t stopped the studio from discussing other projects. Variety has reported that HBO is “actively” discussing a new Game of Thrones prequel about Aegon I Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros.
Sources told Variety that the Aegon prequel is still in the very stages and that no writer is attached at the moment. Another source has claimed that the project may involve a feature film, meaning that we could get a movie that would lead into the events of the series. Taking place three hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones (and one hundred years before House of the Dragon), the potential prequel would tell the story of how “Aegon and his sister-wives,...
