George Pérez is a screenwriter, twice-staged New York City playwright and prior screenplay analyst for producer Lee Daniels. Pérez consulted and assisted in a five-part television news investigative series on underage sex-trafficking, leading to the rescue of a trafficked teen. Through this experience, Pérez discovered a passion for shining the light of truth on juvenile exploitation and injustice through his writing. His television pilot scripts have been selected as Finalist in the InRoads Screenwriting Fellowship, WeScreenplay Television Pilot Contest, Roadmap Writers JumpStart Writing Competition and Screencraft TV Pilot Contest among others. His television series pilot episode for The Life has been screened at SeriesFest, ITVFest and the Harvard School of Public Health. Pérez was selected as a Fellow for the Writers Assistants Network TV Fellowship in Los Angeles.
