After all these years, it’s hard to listen to the talents of Deric Williams, Daniel Clark, Tobie Munroe and Chris Davis and not refer to them by the collective moniker they’ve gone by for over half a decade. I guess I understand why the band now known as Foreign Home needed to distance themselves from their previous handle, Motive for Movement. When the band first started out they performed mostly at churches and all-ages venues. Their lyrics, much like their band name, were spiritual in nature. As the band seemed to evolve into a new area, both creatively and very likely personally, a fresh start was needed. That fresh start came in the way of Foreign Home, a name ripped from a Minus the Bear song. After watching the band perform at the FreeTulsa music festival in July, it was clear that the band has indeed turned over a new leaf.

Planet Fury hereby rises from the ashes of our history.
Our new incarnation is dedicated to covering news and reviews of genre films, literature, and a smattering of video games. We'll be covering as much as we can of those things that interest us, and our mission is to report on the facts as well as our honest opinions on past, current, and upcoming genre news.
We're very aware that there are a already plethora of film news websites on the web; however, many of these sites follow an "everything but the kitchen sink" paradigm and flood their users with articles reporting minutiae that no one but a film's press agent could possibly care about. Every new film poster, every new film still, every bit of obscure casting news are all reported in a mechanized regurgitation of flavorless genre bile that gushes in an unrelenting stream of noise and pollution.

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards are fast approaching, which means that in only a few weeks you'll be treated to an excellent night of performances and appearances by the likes of Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Drake, Florence and the Machine, B.o.B and Deadmau5 (who will serve as the house DJ at the show). While people tend to remember the classic performances and the unhinged moments, the coveted Moonman is the reason why people show up and tune in. This year, there are 16 categories wherein some of the biggest music stars in the universe will compete for the coolest trophy in awards shows. Today, we take a look at the nominees in the Best Editing category.
Editing is a misunderstood science that is extremely important in the realm of music videos. Since there's such a compact time frame in which to work, there can be no wasted footage or sluggish shots.

Endemol has acquired British production companies Tiger Aspect, Darlow Smithson and Darlow Smithson's Tigress from Img.
The pact, said to be in the neighborhood of $50 million, comes a month after global sports and modeling agency/entertainment company Img Worldwide announced that it was looking at potentially offloading Tiger Aspect and Darlow Smithson.
The move is part of Endemol's aggressive acquisition strategy of the past couple of years that has expanded the company's entertainment portfolio.
Tiger Aspect was arguably the top entertainment property under Igm's umbrella. The company, one of the U.K.'s best-known producers, is behind such hits as "Billy Elliot" and kids animation "Charlie and Lola," as well as comedy "Diary of a Call Girl," which ran on Showtime, dramas "Robin Hood" and "Vicar of Dibley" and reality series "Make Me a Supermodel" for Bravo and "Cook Yourself Thin" for Lifetime.

Fango just heard from Frank Garfi of Insane-o-Rama Productions, the New York-based outfit behind the ambitious horror dramas Strange Things Happen At Sundown and Za—Zombies Anonymous (a.k.a. Last Rites Of The Dead). He called in from the Poconos, where he’s busy lensing their latest production, Hellfire.
“It’s about four prostitutes who accidentally kidnap the Antichrist,” Garfi says of the movie, which he’s producing and Marc Fratto is directing from his own script. “It’s a little different from what we’ve done before. Our other movies have had multiple stories that come together as one in the end, while this is one story from beginning to end—a very tight, straightforward script. We’re very happy with it.”
