There have been rumblings for a while now that Marvel Studios has big plans for Chris Evans' Captain America in the MCU. We've already heard chatter about a Human Torch cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine (not to mention the actor's long-awaited return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Secret Wars), but how about a TV show?
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, a limited series is in development for Disney+ which will revolve around Captain America returning the Infinity Stones to their correct place in time following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
This is a story fans have long said they want to see, and a show like this would be a good way to make Marvel Studios' streaming offering feel like must-watch event TV again (which was the case when WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier launched in 2021).
We've heard about possible plans for this TV show before, so here's hoping it's finally moving forward.

Bob Iger recently discussed how the MCU is cutting back on its creative work. He mentioned that fans can look forward to about 2 or 3 movies a year and 2 shows. That’s much less than what was initially planned and what we’re used to.
Right now, there are over 30 MCU projects rumored or confirmed to be in the works. But, as Brad Winderbaum recently mentioned, not all of them will actually get made and released.
Recently, rumors have been circulating, sparked by the scooper and leaker MyTimeToShineHello, suggesting that Donald Glover is being considered for a writing role.
The leaker didn’t specify which project the studio is eyeing Glover for, but he does have ties to Disney and Marvel.

Bob Iger recently talked about MCU downsizing its creative input. He said that fans can expect roughly 2 or three films a year and 2 shows. Which is significantly less than what was originally planned and what we’re used to seeing.
MCU currently has over 30 projects either rumored or confirmed to be in development. But as Brad Winderbaum recently pointed out, that doesn’t mean that all of them will make it into production and ultimately be released.
Still, the most recent rumors started by scooper & leaker MyTimeToShineHello, point in the direction of Donald Glover being eyed to serve as a writer.

Young actor and musician Donald Glover, also known by his musician stage name Childish Gambino, is one of the most prominent names of Hollywood’s younger (not youngest!) generation. The actor and musician made his career in 30 Rock when he was just 23, after which he had successful appearances in the Community and Atlanta. He also appeared in several movies, including The Lazarus Effect, Magic Mike Xxl, The Martian, as well as Solo: A Star Wars Story, where he played the young Lando Calrissian.
Aside from his personal appearances, Glover has done a lot of voice work as well, including voicing Simba in the CGI version of The Lion King. He also appeared as Aaron Davis (Uncle Aaron) in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse; reprising his live-action cameo from the Spider-Man: Homecoming, although it was a minor live-action role in both of these movies.

Andrew Garfield’s portrayal of Spider-Man has become one of the most iconic versions of the character. Embodying the very essence of the character, including his charm, his wittiness, and his ability to joke in the more inappropriate of times, the love that the actor gets for this character is well deserved.

This is not surprising as the films had to follow up the ridiculously high standards set by Tobey Maguire’s films. ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ marked the second chapter in the animated Spider-Verse series led by Miles Morales, currently one of the most beloved animated Spider-Man characters worldwide. With both films receiving critical acclaim and performing well at the box office, it’s no wonder that anticipation for the third (and currently final) installment is high.
During the premiere of ‘Across the Spider-Verse,’ Andrew Garfield, who previously portrayed the primary live-action Spider-Man, described the movie as a masterpiece during a screening in London.

‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ was the second installment in the animated Spider-Verse franchise helmed by Miles Morales, currently the most popular animated Spider-Man in the world. Both movies were a critical and box-office success, so it doesn’t surprise us that the third (and so far last installment) in the franchise is highly anticipated as well.

While the recent Madame Web introduced Spider-Women in live-action, another Marvel character who has yet to get a live-action depiction is Miles Morales. The character is a fan favorite and has already starred in Sony’s Spider-verse films. In the MCU, the character has been acknowledged, with Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis mentioning him in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
While Miles Morale is yet to be cast in the MCU, Black-ish actor Miles Brown seems to be the perfect fit. The nineteen-year-old actor and rapper has the same first name and has similar Black and Latino parentage. He has been vocal about his dream of playing the character in the MCU and has also met Tom Holland and Kevin Feige on the red carpet for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Fans have been excited beyond measure for Mahershala Ali’s portrayal of Blade in the new reboot for the MCU. While the character has already been adapted once with Wesley Snipes in the lead, this would be the first time that the character would be shown in the MCU and would appear along with other Marvel characters.
While Ali’s inclusion was announced way back in 2019, the film has been delayed numerous times. The actor only had a brief voice cameo in the post-credits scene of Eternals but has not made any other appearances since. It was rumored that the actor was not satisfied with the script and was threatening to exit the role after four years of no updates.

Marvel Studios just admitted a mistake they made with the introduction of Donald Glover's Aaron Davis in the MCU.
The character was first introduced in Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Homecoming, where the titular webhead came across Davis trying to buy weapons from Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes. The last time audiences saw him, he had been webbed to a car after giving Spidey some helpful information.
While Glover’s Aaron Davis doesn’t get to do much in his brief appearance, nor does his much more famous nephew, it turns out the small amount of screen time the character did get also contained a little continuity error.

The McU's Prowler, played by Donald Glover, could be returning in a big way following his cameo appearance in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Glover made his Marvel Studios debut in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming as Aaron Davis, known best as Miles Morales' uncle who also happens to be the antihero Prowler.
The Homecoming appearance was a clear wink and nod to the idea of Miles one day making a live-action debut in the MCU. It was also an intriguing cameo following an online campaign for Glover to play Spider-Man for the rebooted The Amazing Spider-Man movies.

"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" has worked its way into the hearts of fans across the country since it was released this June. The movie stars Miles Morales as he meets many different versions of Spider-Man (and Spider-Woman) who are trying to keep the Spider-Verse itself from breaking apart. Their leader, Miguel O'Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099), tells Miles that he's not supposed to be Spider-Man at all and that if he doesn't let his story follow some specific canon events (like the death of his dad), the universe will fall apart.
Fans will have to wait for the sequel, "Beyond the Spider-Verse," to arrive, but in the meantime, they've come up with a lot of theories for it. One of the most popular is that Gwen Stacy, aka Spider-Woman on Earth-65, is actually trans. And now, the beloved movie is streaming on Netflix, letting even more fans into this chaotic story...

"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is shaping up to be one of the biggest movies of the year. The film, which hit theaters on June 2, grossed $120.5 million at the domestic box office in its opening weekend, putting it just behind "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," which debuted with $146 million. Besides its animation, story, and representation, "Across the Spider-Verse" will be remembered for pushing the boundaries of the multiverse in Marvel films.
While "Spider-Man: No Way Home" brought three iconic live-action versions of the web-slinging superhero together, "Across the Spider-Verse" reportedly included over 250 versions of the beloved character - this time, both in animated and live-action form. Seeing so many Spider-People in one movie was definitely exciting, but perhaps the biggest crowd-cheering moment of all was when Donald Glover's version of the Prowler came on screen. Here's why.
What Is Donald Glover's Connection to the "Spider-Man" Franchise?
Glover actually has a long history with "Spider-Man.

Among the many pleasures of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was its celebration of all things Spider-Man. The 2018 film filled the screen with webheads, letting audiences delight in all of the variations of people and creatures who can do anything a spider can. Into the Spider-Verse made fast fans of Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy aka Ghost Spider and Nicolas Cage‘s tough-talking Spider-Man Noir. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star Daniel Kaluuya was, quite literally, born to play Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk. The Oscar winner and his anti-establishment Spider-Man character are both from Camden Town, a borough in North West London, and so Kaluuya’s voice performance in Sony’s smash hit took inspiration from the cast of characters he grew up around in the ‘90s and early 2000s.
Hobie was first introduced as a potential threat to Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), given that he had some form of an intimate relationship with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), but instead of another clichéd love triangle story, Hobie turned out to be the ultimate hero of Across the Spider-Verse. He not only helped Miles Morales escape the clutches of Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac), but he also left his portal watch for Gwen to assemble a team that will hopefully rescue Miles from Earth-42 in 2024’s Beyond the Spider-Verse.

This weekend, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse had an amazing opening. The first film was a great buffet of Spider-Man references and easter eggs. With Miles Morales returning to the big screen, we knew there had to be many more references. This one does not disappoint, as just about every frame of the film is crammed full of some eye candy. While we’re a little sad that some of our favorite characters from the first film didn’t make the return trip for the sequel, there are a ton of new characters to get excited about. What kind of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse easter eggs did we find?

Sony is giving the Marvel Cinematic Universe a run for its money, and much like there’s no stopping the ever-expanding multiverse, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has weaved a complex web of Spider-People into the lives of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld).
While Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (Ssu) struggles to find where it fits alongside the MCU, Across the Spider-Verse brings us one step closer to a unified Spider-Family. We’re a far cry from those feuds between Disney and Sony – where it looked like Tom Holland’s wall-crawling hero would be annexed – but that doesn’t mean both sides are quite agreeing on everything.

Technically, the congregation of Spider-Men outside the pages of comics happened in the 90s animated series, but in 2018, when Sony released Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, it presented the scope of the multiverse to a larger fanbase, which eventually culminated in the fulfillment of the dream of seeing three live-action Spider-Men of our generation together in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Needless to say, when the second installment of the movie was announced, fans had pretty high expectations, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse didn’t disappoint a bit. If the first entry had shown a glimpse of the Spider-Verse to the audience, the second one opened a vista to the interconnected universe, displaying all the spider-madness it had to offer. Scattered among innumerable Spider-Character appearances, teases, references, and homages, there were plenty of Easter eggs in Across the Spider-verse, and although it’s not humanely possible to list every one of them,...

This article contains Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse spoilers.
There was an audible gasp during my press screening of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. As has become common practice when watching a superhero movie, the entire audience sat glued to their seats throughout the long rolling credits for producer Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s follow-up to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Obviously, we were waiting for a post-credits stinger, as is the genre’s wont ever since Samuel L. Jackson first showed up rocking an eyepatch in Iron Man 15 years ago.
And yet, when the credits finished scrolling, there remained only darkness—and a promise that this story would not end until next year’s now eagerly anticipated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The lack of post-credits scenes was thus further evidence that Lord and Miller, as well as directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, had little interest in...

This article contains spoilers for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," so proceed with caution.
"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is now in theaters everywhere. The highly anticipated sequel expands the roster of Spider-People that was already jam-packed with a bunch of web-slinging superheroes from a variety of different universes in its predecessor, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse." Since the sequel is concerned with the fate of the entire multiverse, there's room for a plethora of new characters, including some surprises. Along with the brief appearance of a couple of beloved animated Spider-Man variations from television's past, as well as a certain PlayStation version of the webhead and an endless array of comic book characters, there's a surprising amount of live-action references. But one stands out above them all.
When Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) first arrives in Nueva York, a futuristic version of New York in the universe occupied by Spider-Man 2099, he gets a...

Warning: Major spoilers ahead for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”
When you open up the entire Spider-Verse, you’re going to meet a lot of Spider-Men. But, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” brought the appearance of more than just Spider-men, -women, and -animals — it also brought a few major live-action characters.
Once again, spoiler warning; this is where you turn back if you don’t want to know who we’re talking about just yet.
Ok, still here? Let’s get into it. For some, it felt inevitable that the core three Spider-Man might show up somehow. And yes, two of them did. Repurposed footage of both Andrew Garfield’s and Tobey Maguire’s take on the wallcrawler showed up in the movie. But there are a few major characters who showed up in the flesh.

How far will a leap of faith take you? Well, after the release of the smash-hit movie "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" back in 2018, animation as a medium received a much-needed and long-overdue boost in respect and credibility, "What's Up Danger" became the anthem of that summer, and general audiences have now been able to join comic nerds in knowing exactly who Miles Morales is and what he's about. In short, the blockbuster changed the game forever and helped set the bar astronomically high for any sequels that would follow in its wake.
Well, fast forward to five years later and we're finally about to see whether "Across the Spider-Verse" can make lightning strike twice. The follow-up is currently enjoying some pretty widespread acclaim (click through to read /Film's review by Chris Evangelista), partly thanks to taking what worked the first time around and diving even deeper into the characters, relationships,...

The Spider-Man films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have referenced the world of Miles Morales before. Though Miles exists in a different universe than Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, the live action web-slinger did meet Miles’ small time criminal uncle Aaron Davis (Donald Glover) in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and in the closing part of Jon Watts’ MCU trilogy, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Jamie Foxx’s villainous Maxwell Dillon aka Electro receives the news that infinite parallel universes exist by musing “there’s got to be a Black Spider-Man out there somewhere.”
Of course, there absolutely is, and he’ll be back this summer for a brand-new multiversal adventure! Not only that, but in the new trailer for Sony‘s upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the animated world of Morales’ wall-crawler is happy to clap back with a cheeky MCU reference of its own.

The MCU has featured almost every A-list actor working in Hollywood from veterans like Robert Redford to up-and-coming stars like Simu Liu and Kathryn Newton. So, naturally, it’s easy to spot an MCU alum whenever you’re watching another TV show or movie — and this Emmy awards season is no different. Here are six MCU actors past and present who could be nominated for an Emmy this year.
Donald Glover — “Atlanta”
Okay, so admittedly Glover isn’t the first name you think of when you conjure up MCU actors, but he did feature in a scene with Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” as Aaron Davis, who is actually the Prowler in the comics. Glover already has 10 Emmy nominations to his name and won two in 2017 for directing and starring in “Atlanta.” He’s back in contention this year for the same show and is predicted to pick...

Even before the days of Marvel's Cinematic Universe or its equivalent in DC, the relationship between film, television, and comics was a pretty symbiotic one. Just as film and TV are now majorly informed by comics, comic artists have taken inspiration from film and TV — especially when it comes to the design for certain characters. "Batman: Year One" artist David Mazzucchelli famously modeled his Bruce Wayne on "Roman Holiday" star Gregory Peck. Another less-subtle reference to a famous face — and one of my personal favorites — came in 2016's "Invincible Iron Man": artist Mike Deodato Jr. modeled his Tony Stark off Santiago Cabrebra, of "The Musketeers" and "Star Trek: Picard" fame.
Sometimes, though, the inspiration is equal parts thematic as it is aesthetic. On occasion, an episode of television can even inspire a shift in a narrative arc, a fresh conflict, or even a brand new character. Such was the case for Brian Michael Bendis,...

While audiences are quick to judge a movie or television show based off of a single viewing, most people fail to understand and empathize with the fact that nobody goes through life without making mistakes. So, since fans can relate to such a fact, it shouldn’t be a large surprise when franchises as massive as the MCU occasionally put out a movie that underperforms or includes a character that didn’t meet their potential. With M.O.D.O.K in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania getting a mixed reaction from fans, now’s a good time to check in on other water Marvel villains.
While T=the MCU has done a decent job of addressing one of their biggest flaws and that was improving their villains, an area that was widely critiqued for the majority of Phases 1-3. Even so, some of their villains have still left bitter tastes in fans mouths...

Donald Glover is set to join Sony Pictures’ universe of Marvel characters, as the star and producer of a movie based on the Spider-Man villain the Hypno-Hustler.
The project is in its earliest stages, with no script or director, but Myles Murphy (the son of Eddie Murphy) is attached to write the screenplay, reports Variety.
The Hypno-Hustler, who first appeared in Marvel comics in 1978, is one of Spider-Man’s more obscure villains, with the ability to hypnotise his victims with his guitar.
By day, he’s known as Antoine Desloin, lead singer of a band called the Mercy Killers – they use their music to rob their audiences.
As is the case with all of Sony’s live-action Marvel movies, Spider-Man himself almost certainly won’t be a part of the project. But Glover’s involvement is noteworthy for Spidey fans, as the actor-musician has been a fan-favourite to play the...

Donald Glover will help bring to life one of the most obscure — and probably the funkiest — villains Spider-Man has ever faced in a new movie centered around the Hypno-Hustler.
Glover is set to star in, and produce, the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with Eddie Murphy’s son, Myles Murphy, attached to write the screenplay. Neither a title, nor any plot details were revealed.
The Hypno-Hustler debuted at the height of the disco era — 1978 — in issue #24 of Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man. Created by writer Bill Mantlo (probably best...

Donald Glover is attached to produce and star in a new film out of Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, centered on the villainous Hypno-Hustler, that is in very early development, Deadline can confirm.
Details as to the as-yet-untitled film’s plot are under wraps and a director has not yet been attached. But we hear that the script will be written by Eddie Murphy’s son, Myles Murphy.
One of the lesser known Spider-Man villains, Hypno-Hustler was first introduced in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #24 in 1978. The character created by Bill Mantlo and Frank Springer, otherwise known as Antoine Delsoin, is known for fronting a band called the Mercy Killers and using pieces of hypnotic equipment to rob those at his shows.
Frequently pitched for the role of Spider-Man by diehard fans of the franchise, going back to the Marc Webb-directed 2012 feature The Amazing Spider-Man — which ultimately cast Andrew Garfield...

This article contains MCU spoilers.
It’s been 14 years since Robert Downey Jr. first stepped into our lives as Iron Man, and across four phases, a whole Infinity Saga, and more Easter eggs than we care to count, the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to go from strength to strength.
The journey from page to screen is never an easy one, and while the MCU packs a lot into its runtimes, there’s inevitably some stuff that gets left on the cutting room floor. Whether it be post-credit stingers or entire characters, the carefully-crafted franchise could be completely upturned by axing a simple scene.
Scenes like Stephen Strange healing an injured dog or Steve Rogers struggling to adjust to modern life are all well and good for tugging at the heartstrings, but they’re hardly McU-defining moments. If you’re ready to suit up in spandex, here are 10 deleted scenes that...

Ever since Marvel Studios confirmed Black Panther's sequel in 2018, fans have been yearning for more details. But following the heartbreaking death of lead star Chadwick Boseman, many are left wondering how the franchise will move forward without King T'Challa. Information about the second installment has remained under wraps as the cast and crew figure out how to honor Boseman and the Black Panther legacy. But, on Nov. 20, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that production will begin in July 2021 and take place in Atlanta for about six months.
In a November interview with Argentine newspaper Clarín, the film's executive producer Victoria Alonso spoke about the studio's plans, asserting that they will not use a CGI recreation of Boseman. "There's only one Chadwick, and he's no longer with us," she said. "Sadly, our king has died in real life, not only in fiction, and we're taking a little time to see how...

This Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales article contains spoilers.
Spider-Man has always benefited from one of the best rogues’ galleries in comics, but the recently released Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales features a villain whom some franchise fans may not immediately recognize: a businessman named Simon Krieger.
While it probably won’t come as much as a surprise that Miles Morales focuses on a new villain given that it’s a spin-off of the Marvel’s Spider-Man story, it turns out that Krieger isn’t actually an entirely new face in the Marvel universe. The game’s ending also strongly suggests that this won’t be the last we see of him.
Let’s break down who Simon Krieger is, his comic book origin, what happened to him at the end of the game, and whether we’ll see him in the inevitable Marvel’s Spider-Man 2…

With just weeks to go until Spider-Man: Miles Morales arrives alongside Sony’s next-gen PlayStation 5 console, there’s still remarkably little fans know about the sequel’s plot. It’s common knowledge, of course, that Miles’ solo adventure takes place roughly one year after Parker’s encounter with the Sinister Six, and that during those 12 months, New York City’s second Wall-Crawler has been rigorously training to earn the title of Spider-Man, but that’s just the premise.
Not long after the two superheroes part ways, Miles finds himself in the middle of a gang war between the Roxxon Energy Corporation and a mysterious private army with access to weapons far beyond military-grade. The latter of these two organizations is led by the Tinkerer, a genius inventor who, it just so happens, has decided to bring terror and unrest to the streets of Harlem. Most fans and observers seem to be in agreement that Miles Morales making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has an air of inevitability about it. The success of Sony’s animated Into the Spider-Verse and the upcoming video game with Miles front and center have increased the character’s popularity and awareness to an all-time high, meaning this is the ideal opportunity to debut him in the world’s biggest and most popular franchise.

The first big screen foray into the Spider-Verse was incredible. Not only did Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse successfully weave multiple Spider-People into a great story, but it did so with one of the coolest animated art styles we’ve seen to date. So, it was hardly surprising that a sequel was announced, one that producer Christopher Miller promises will “make the first movie look quaint.”

One of the things that fans love most about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the frequent references to comic book lore than can go over the head of more casual audiences, but often end up planting the seeds for story threads that get paid off years down the line.
Perhaps the best example comes from the interaction between Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Donald Glover’s Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming. For the uninitiated, it just seems like a funny exchange between the two characters, but the fans that were aware of Davis’ comic book history as the Prowler and his family tree lost their minds at the reference to his nephew, which seemed to acknowledge that Miles Morales exists somewhere out there in the McU.

After Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe concluded in 2019, fans were left with many questions about where the franchise would go next. After all, the ongoing battle for the Infinity Stones has likely come to an end, and with several of the original Avengers having had their stories concluded, you’d be forgiven for not being able to map out exactly where Marvel is going to take things from here.
One particular journey that’ll be interesting to watch unfold though is that of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. After the conclusion of Far From Home, Peter Parker’s secret identity was revealed to the world and the hero’s been framed for some pretty terrible crimes that he didn’t commit. How this will all be resolved remains to be seen, but already there’ve been whispers that Parker won’t be the only Spidey running around the McU for too much longer,...

Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already shaping up to be something of a new dawn for the interconnected superhero franchise, with Phase One stalwarts Iron Man, Captain America and Black Widow out of the picture, and the studio set to introduce a slate of new characters into the established mythology with The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Blade, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk all coming to both the big screen and Disney Plus over the next few years.
The new batch of projects gives Marvel Studios a solid balance of both new faces and returning favorites, with Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Thor, Captain Marvel and Black Panther set to represent the old guard for the foreseeable future. However, recent reports have indicated that Kevin Feige is already planning for down the road, with the latest rumors indicating that not only is Miles Morales...

Last year, there was a lot of hubbub over the future of Spider-Man on the big screen, with Disney and Sony essentially fighting over who gets to have Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in their universe. The end result may be that he’ll end up appearing in both franchises, but given all the fuss about who landed custody over Peter, it’s surprising to hear that there are apparently already plans to replace him, with Miles Morales.
Insider Daniel Richtman took to Twitter today to discuss the increased diversity of the McU in the coming years, seemingly dropping the bombshell – among others – that Miles will eventually take over for Peter in the cinematic universe, as per the Ultimate comics.
Love where the McU is headed diversity wise. We had an all white 6 Avengers at first but down the line we'll get a black Captain America (Sam), Spider-Man (Miles) and...

The ink may have barely dried on the new deal that saw Spider-Man officially remain part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after much back-and-forth between Marvel Studios and Sony over how to utilize the iconic superhero going forward, but already the third standalone adventure for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has a release date set for 2021.
However, this is the McU, a franchise that was built on planning their interconnected stories years in advance, so there’s little doubt that Kevin Feige already has ideas on where to take the character after the end of the Spider-Man 3. After all, with both Sony and Marvel Studios set to make a lot of money out of the web-slinger for the forseeable future, Spidey looks set to be a key figure in the comic book series for a long time yet.
Both Homecoming and Far From Home followed Peter in high school,...

It can be debated that Spider-Man: Homecoming is the best movie in the history of the titular character and one of the many bright spots in the film was Donald Glover as Prowler. Now, it sounds like the actor/musician may reprise his role in an upcoming feature centered around the anti-villain.
According to our sources close to Wgtc – the same ones who told us Moon Knight was coming to the McU and that Marvel was developing a She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel show for Disney Plus – Sony is currently in the early stages of planning a live-action Prowler movie set in the Venom cinematic universe. And if they get their way, Glover will return to play the part.
For those unfamiliar with the character, much like Black Cat he’s often depicted as a conflicted associate of Spider-Man, who struggles when it comes to be consistently all good or all bad.

Spider-Man: Far From Home was such a great and fun film! The story was fun, and the ending (post-credits) was so freaking crazy! It really makes me excited for how things are going to go in the next Spider-Man movie. Of course, the creators of the film didn’t just land on this one concept and storyline and run with it, though. Moviemaking is a constantly changing process that takes lots of ideas, and lots of editing.
Screenwriters for the film Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers recently sat down with THR and talked about some of the preliminary ideas for Far From Home that ultimately didn’t make the cut. One idea was to have a cameo from Donald Glover in a scene, where he would have reprised his role from Spider-Man: Homecoming of the character Aaron Davis, a criminal from the comic book as well as Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,...
