- Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Elaine was adopted as an infant and renamed Frances Elaine. She is of Italian, Native American and Irish ancestry. Due to her father's job as a Federal Judge, she lived in various places growing up, among them San Juan and Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Alexandria, Virginia, Roanoke, Virginia and Louisville, Kentucky. She began acting in elementary school, portraying probably the only brunette Alice ever in "Alice in Wonderland", as well as studying ballet and piano. She continued acting through high school and into college where she was originally a Theater major but changed to an English major and ended up minoring in Theater as well as Romance Languages. After toiling for years working in bookstores and as a paralegal, Elaine found her true calling after viewing director Alex Turner's Civil War horror film, "Dead Birds" (2005), and decided to contact Turner to congratulate him on a film that truly frightened her. That led to her first interview within the horror world as she began contributing to various horror websites, finally settling with Bloody-Disgusting where she has been the main interviewer for the site. She also contributes to Dread Central and Fatally-Yours.
A life-long fan of the horror genre, she counts "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974), "Let's Scare Jessica to Death" (1971), "Halloween" (1978), "Session 9" (2001), "The Devil's Rejects" (2005), "The Changeling" (1980), "Ravenous" (1999), "The Burrowers" (2008), "Carnival of Souls" (1962) and "Picnic at Hanging Rock" (1975) among her many favorite horror films.
She is also an avid traveler, having been to Europe twice, Australia three times, Canada and Mexico once each and hopes to one day visit Egypt.- IMDb Mini Biography By: anonymous
