Vice TV has picked up a new unscripted basketball docuseries produced with Uninterrupted, the athlete storytelling brand founded by LeBron James’ and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company, and My Entertainment.
The eight-episode series, titled “Uninterrupted: The Real Stories of Basketball,” explores iconic moments, players and stories from inside basketball. Vice TV is set to premiere the series on June 4.
“As a lifelong student of the game and all of its iconic history and culture, I’m excited about this series that relives some of basketball’s biggest moments and the stories behind them for a whole new generation to experience,” James said in a statement.

Willis Reed, the Hall of Fame NBA center who won two championships with the New York Knicks including his legendary hobbling return to the court in Game 7 of the 1970 Finals, died today. He was 80.

Six-time NBA All-Star and Seattle Supersonics legend Shawn Kemp was arrested Wednesday in connection to a drive-by shooting in Washington state, according to online jail records.
Shortly before 2 p.m., an “altercation” between people in two cars led to gunfire in a parking lot in the 4500 block of South Steele Street, according to Tacoma Police. One of the cars fled the scene, and there were no injuries reported, but Tpd said a gun was recovered from the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
Tacoma Police did not confirm Kemp was arrested, but jail records show he was booked in the Pierce County Jail right before 6 p.m.

Kemp was booked into the Pierce County Jail in Washington Wednesday an hour after the shooting.
Police said a confrontation between the occupants of two cars in a parking lot near the Tacoma Mall was the origin of the shooting. A gun was recovered, but no injuries were reported.
No bail has been set for Kemp, age 53.
Kemp, a power forward, spent eight seasons in Seattle, retiring after spending the 2002-2003 season with the Orlando Magic. Kemp played a total of 14 seasons for Seattle, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Magic.
The Seattle franchise moved to Oklahoma after the 2007-2008 season and became the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He averaged 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in his career after being the 17th overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft.
