The new strategy kicks off with War of the Dead, a mystery action thriller on which it will partner with U.S. shingle the Little Film Co. The Vilnius-based studios -- which employs 150 English-speaking full-time staff -- said War of the Dead, written and directed by Finnish filmmaker Marko Makilaakso, offered a strong first project for its new strategy. "The studio jumped at the opportunity to be involved with this film. There will always be an audience for great action thrillers and this one is sure to be unique in its story line, action sequences, locations and cinematography," Little Film Co. CEO Ramunas Skikas said in a statement issued with company co-presidents Robbie and Ellen Little. "We are not only excited to be involved in this very commercial genre feature, but also thrilled to be a part of Lithuanian Film Studios' vision to start taking the leap forward into financing."...
