The "Shady Xv" 15th anniversary compilation album isn't officially billed as a new Eminem album, but new music from Slim Shady is all over it. The comp has one side that's 15 previously released Shady Records tunes, plus a bonus track that's the original demo of Eminem's great "Lose Yourself." The other side is all-new tracks, with Eminem leading or featuring on at least 10 out of 12 of the songs. Em fronts the songs "Shady Xv," "Die Alone" featuring Kobe, previously released "Guts Over Fear" featuring Sia, "Right for Me" and "Fine Line." He's also part of the D12 crew, rhymes with Royce da 5'9" in Bad Meets Evil and is part of a group track "Detroit Vs. Everybody" that co-leads with Royce, Big Sean, Danny Brown, DeJ Loaf and Trick Trick. The full tracklist to both discs are below. Eminem executive produced the set. "Shady Xv" is out on Nov.

Quite a crew: Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Jay-z, Ca$his and Stat Quo all collaborated on a track "Syllables," which leaked online this week, and they're taking down dumbed-down hip-hop with it. The crew tackles raps on "20 is the new 30" (and 40 being the new 30) to the sentiment "It is not about lyrics anymore: it's about a hot beat and a catchy hook," tearing at what they see as a plague pulling apart what real rhymes are. "And the DJs playing them hits / 'Aww this my jam, this my sh*t / We don't know a word to...

Heads were scratched when a dated, top-notch collaboration between some of hip-hop's biggest MCs, including Eminem, Jay-z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Stat Quo, surfaced in the blogosphere yesterday. And while deliberate (and unintentional) leaks happen all the time, it was odd that nobody had ever heard of the all-star cut titled "Syllables." However, Cashis, another one of the track's featured rappers, gave fans some insight into the track in an interview with Vibe.com, admitting his excitement as a then-newly-signed artist to collaborate alongside rap icons.
"I laid my part at Dre's studio with Stat, 50 and Em," Cashis recalls of the track, which talks of the industry's lack of lyrical substance and its reliance on gimmicks.

Leave it to the last two Hottest MCs winner, Eminem and Jay-z, to lament the lost art of lyricism in hip-hop.
The two top-notch rappers — along with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Stat Quo and Cashis — spit about catchy choruses and gimmicks taking over the game on "Syllables." The track is a buried studio gem from old recording sessions that made its way online on Tuesday night.
"If we got to dumb down our style and A-b-c it, then so be it," Em raps over slow piano stabs. "'Cause nowadays, these kids, geez/ Don't give a sh-- about lyrics, all they want to hear is a beat and that's it/ Long as they can go to the club and get blitz, pick up some chicks and get some digits.

A brand new star-studded song called "Syllables" has just made its round for listening pleasure. Opened with Eminem's verses, it also features the likes of Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Jay-z, Stat Quo and Cashis. Those stars team up together, taking a jab at today's Top 40 songs.
"If we have to dumb down our style and ABC it then so be it / Because these days these kids, jeez, they don't give a sh*t about lyrics, just want to hear a beat and that's it," the Slim Shady sounds off his frustration. "All we know is the chorus because the chorus repeats the same four words for us."
They summarize their criticism in one sentence, "It is not about lyrics anymore. It's about hot beat and catchy hook." There is no word on whether or not the all-star track is taken from Dre's upcoming studio album "Detox".

Stat Quo says he doesn't know exactly when, but Dr. Dre is definitely going to drop Detox. It's not a myth. Stat has been writing on the project for several months.
"It's definitely gonna come out," the Atlanta native said of Dre's long-awaited project. "I always said it was gonna come out in 2010 light years ago. I also at one point thought it would never come out. Being around Dre and the energy that's being created, all I can say is that it's incredible. It's totally left-field from what's going on — I really appreciate what he's doing as an artist. Even though from the outside looking in, if I'm other people, I'll be like, 'What's taking him so long?' But it's gonna be worth every second,...

When Peyton Manning threw that interception in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl Xliv, the Game says he felt the $1,000 he put up on the Colts slipping through his fingers. The underdog New Orleans Saints won the game and surprised a lot of NFL fans.
"I lost some money, man," Game admitted. "I was going with the Colts, man — for no reason. The Saints or the Colts, that ain't my team, man. I'd figured Peyton Manning wouldn't disappoint in the Bowl, but he got his Jim Kelly on. He could have easily tied that game up. But [Manning] was outta the game. I know that face — it's like that sick face n---as make when they knowing it's a wrap. He couldn't shake the face.
