Puppy Love is a romantic comedy starring Lucy Hale, Grant Gustin and Jane Seymour. It is directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Alan Reid.
It’s one of those movies where, despite the ice cream tub beside the bed, the girl wakes up even skinnier than before, almost made up, and spectacularly beautiful. He’s a guy whose biggest problem might just be that he’s too nice and nerdy. She’s a mess, and he suffers from something called post-covid social anxiety. Can you imagine the existential drama of these two attractive but lonely characters in life and love?
Yes, they’re already charming, good-looking, and friendly, but wait – there’s more! She comes across an adorable puppy and he has to take care of an equally adorable female dog to alleviate his anxiety. Can you imagine anything more adorable than this?
You’re not going to believe it,...

Puppy Love, directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Alan Reed, is a movie that has an old-school charm about it. This is a boy-girl story, but it’s via a canine connection. A romantic comedy is pretty hard to execute, given that the zeitgeist is ever evolving. But Puppy Love works pretty well because of the performances. Lucy Hale and Grant Gustin bring their A-game to the table and create likable, relatable, honest, and vulnerable characters. The writing helps, as it gives them ample space to showcase their range. The film has poignant moments as well as hilarious ones, and it just seems like the full package; that is what was missing in this genre.
For what it is, Puppy Love is actually endearing. The plot of Puppy Love revolves around two people who have unique problems that hinder them from finding love. First, there is Max, who has social anxiety,...

Romantic comedies are extremely hard to do nowadays. There hasn’t been a genre that has been done to death as much as romantic comedies. It’s hard to find a fresh idea that, at the same time, speaks to a contemporary audience and also manages to have that timeless quality about it. Puppy Love isn’t quite timeless, but it sure does manage to be relevant in its themes. So many young people find themselves falling into the traps of loneliness and hedonism these days, which can partially be attributed to social media and the recent pandemic, but it is the inner struggle of opening up to somebody that has been a problem for many years now. That is what the film actually explores while having the brilliant idea of introducing the lovely dogs, through which the film derives most of its lightheartedness and becomes a really well-executed romantic comedy.

The Flash and Aria from Pretty Little Liars get together in this sweet rom-com. The Freevee original film titled Puppy Love is directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Allen Reid from a screenplay by Gregg Glienna, Peter Stass, and Kristen Guenther. Puppy Love is more enjoyable than a certain big-budget action movie with a stacked cast that came out recently but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Puppy Love is perfect it just means that the aforementioned action movie is that bad.
Puppy Love follows the story of Nicole (Lucy Hale) and Max (Grant Gustin). Nicole is a young independent woman who has put up guards to not let anyone in after a personal tragedy and Max is an extremely introverted man who doesn’t feel comfortable around anyone because of a betrayal amidst the pandemic, which isolated him even more. After a disastrous first date, Nicole...
