Barbara Gorna was born 'in the middle of nowhere' country in England,
and raised on a farm, not hitting the smoke of London until she was age 28.
Armed with a degree in Law, she worked with companies including IBM;
British American Tobacco and Thomson International. Drawn to politics,
she advised on Women's Rights and headed up the Government sponsored
Think Tank, Fawcett. In 1997, she ran for national office at the
Election. Post 1997, she served on several Government Committees at
international level, advising on women and economics; domestic violence
and electoral systems. In 2001, after spotting a gap in the Sex
Discriminaton legislation she took on the Government and ran a Bill
through Parliament, filling the gap. That Bill is now Law. So she steered the Bill through even thought she thought it might cost
her political career. Fighting the Establishment is a tough call. But
in doing so she turned back to her first love, writing.
She lives between London and LA.
