You may not see her on every billboard or follow her on Instagram (although over 200k people do!), but there was one model during fashion week in February who was booking more sought-after gigs than anyone else: Halima Aden. The hijab-wearing, Somali-American model signed with the premiere modeling agency, Img Models, walked in Kanye West’s season-five Yeezy fashion show and was featured on the cover of Cr Fashion Book Issue 10 all in the same week! And her whirlwind entrance into the modeling world was just the beginning. She just landed her first editorial in Vogue‘s July issue and...

ITV Chief Executive, Adam Crozier, who led a turnaround at the broadcaster, is stepping down from his role and from the company’s board after seven years. Ian Griffiths will step into the newly-created combined position of Chief Operating Officer and Group Finance Director, and will lead the executive team for an interim period. In Batman Begins the Caped Crusader's cape is made of memory fiber, a fictional product of Wayne Enterprises' Applied Science Division. This fiber becomes rigid via an electrical current and allows Batman to glide much like a base-jumper. Four physic students have written a paper entitled 'Trajectory of a falling Batman' which studies the realism of the cape. Through their research they believe that gliding would be possible, but Batman would travel at dangerously high speeds. As he would land it'd be like being hit by a car traveling at 50 miles per hour. David Marshall, Tom Hands, Ian Griffiths and Gareth Douglas found that the wingspan of Batman's cape - at 4.7 metres - is around half that used by a hang glider. If Batman jumped from a building 150 metres high, he could glide a distance of around 350 metres - but the problem arises as Batman's velocity increases during...

John Carpenter is now in the business of comic books. Yes, comics have been made out of characters he created (Snake Plissken, for instance), but he was never really involved in those. He has John Carpenter's "Asylum" on the way, a book created by Sandy King and Thomas Ian Griffiths, and Bad Ass Digest landed a cool preview image. The title will be available for the web, at first, and Carpenter is scoring the reading experience. King and Griffiths will be at the Graphicly booth at Comic-Con this week giving out goodies, so be sure to swing by. And keep it here for our exclusive visit to Carpenter's house for an episode of Choice Cuts. He talks a bit more about "Asylum" there.

After directing his first flick in a decade, The Ward, director John Carpenter is diving into the comic book arena with Asylum.
Badassdigest scored the scoop:
“Debuting around Halloween, the series will initially be web-only, and volume 1 (of a planned 12 volume series) will actually be scored by Carpenter himself! Each volume will also have a video intro by Carpenter. You’ll be able to check out a teaser at graphicly.com later today. That site is where John Carpenter’s Asylum will be initially published, although it could end up in print sooner rather than later.

Popstar To Operastar is expected to return for a second series next year. ITV's group finance manager Ian Griffiths revealed that the programme has landed a second run at ITV's Interim Results Meeting earlier this week.
