Steve Cardone is Senior Vice President at Epic Broker's Entertainment & Sport practice. Steve works with film and television producers to provide film and television production insurance. He also offers advice with respect to the film bond process by assisting clients with presenting projects for film bond approval, obtaining pricing, and consulting on film bond agreements.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology both with honors from the University of California, Irvine. After graduating from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and passing the California Bar, Steve began his career as an attorney for The Completion Bond Company. His duties included underwriting, negotiating, and drafting contracts for various motion pictures including "Do the Right Thing" and "Dances with Wolves".
Steve was Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs and an Executive Committee Member for International Film Guarantors. He formed the business affairs department which included drafting all forms of completion guaranty agreements, producer's completion agreements, takeover agreements, talent replacement agreements, and director final cut side letters. On behalf of IFG, Steve oversaw the business affairs, completion, and delivery of such films as "A Bronx Tale", "Braveheart", "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "Stargate", "The Mask", and "The Shawshank Redemption".
Steve formed WorldWide Film Completion. He worked directly with film bond insurers, financiers, distributors, producers, directors, actors, and physical and post production specialists in bonding numerous films including Sean Penn's "The Pledge", Denzel Washington's "Antwone Fisher", and Joe Carnahan's "Narc".
Steve has raised his son Wyatt Mitchum Cardone as a single father. Wyatt was born in 2002 and is the great grandson of legendary film actor Robert Mitchum.
