The month of June has been flying by quicker than I can even believe, as we’re already a week out from the end of the 2017 Dances With Films festival, which took over the historic Chinese Theater in Los Angeles earlier this month. During Dwf, I had the opportunity to catch several intriguing genre films, including Devil’s Whisper, Inheritance, Imitation Girl, and Central Park, and here’s a summary of my thoughts on these four flicks:
Devil’s Whisper: There are a few aspects that I enjoyed about Devil’s Whisper, but unfortunately in the end, a somewhat predictable conclusion coupled with some hokey dialogue ends up derailing the supernatural story from becoming anything beyond “it’s fine.”

The Amazing Race Australia has been awarded an Emmy in the category of non-scripted entertainment.
The 40th International Emmy Awards, held at the New York Hilton last night, saw 38 nominees from 15 different countries competing across a field of nine categories.
The Amazing Race Australia triumphed over other nominated shows The Challenger Muaythai of Singapore, El Hormiguero (The Anthill) of Spain and Brazil.s Planeta Extremo (Extreme Planet).
It is the second consecutive year El Hormiguero has been nominated but failed to.bag the big prize.

360 Sound and Vision Productions is moving ahead with their sci-fi thriller Cybornetics. This is a film which envisions a world of cyborgs. As well, Ice Morales (Leiba) is a shady businessman who runs a corporation building these human hybrids. Cybornetics is currently in pre-production, with 2012 the expected release date. Raw Leiba (Conan the Barbarian), Renes Rivera and Justin A. Davis will star. Check out the preview on this exciting project below.
