- Aurora was born in Kent, England, UK but grew up in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England, UK. She is an actress and director who graduated from The Northern Film School in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, UK, with a First BA Degree. Her film career started with directing and editing, promos and commercials through her own company Little Northern Light, and she co-founded the production company Left Eye Blind. While signed to Academy Films, Aurora won the Epic award to direct the short film Life on the Line (2014).
International festival success helped Aurora to win the Best Emerging Filmmaker award at The Smalls Film Festival, for her short psychological thriller Murmur (2015), which was commissioned by Directors UK. Shorts International bought her UKFC funded supernatural short Shades of Living (2011), while her Sci-fi Nokia Short Daniel (2011) premiered at Edinburgh IFF.
After winning The Pitch at Pinewood, Aurora made the ambitious sci-fi short film Pulsar (2018) starring David Gyasi from Interstellar (2014), and Jessie Buckley from War & Peace (2016). Aurora filmed the short Struck (2017), which was written by the writer Isley Lynn, with 104 Films producing.
Aurora and Jude Goldrei are developing the sci-fi feature "Tipping Point," with support from Birds Eye View's Filmonomics, 104 Film's Digital Revolutionaries, Sheffield Talent Centre Programme, VFX Script to Screen Ireland, Screen Yorkshire's Triangle and Creative Europe MEDIA.
