Wrestlemania 32 is a little more than a month away, and now that we’re firmly into Wrestlemania season, it’s time to look back at some of the great Wrestlemanias of the past. Specifically, it’s time to look at not just the greatest Wrestlemania of all time, but the greatest Pay Per View of all time: Wrestlemania X7.
Taking place 15 years ago on April 1, 2001, at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX, the show was nearly flawless from top to bottom (save a few hiccups here and there; Eddie Guerrero vs. Test comes to mind). Historically, the show was also a bookend to the most successful period in WWF/E history: the Attitude Era. It was a perfect blend of great matches, great storytelling, nostalgia, breathtaking spots, and some serious shocks.
Other Wrestlemanias have since given X7 a run for its money (Xix in 2003, 21 in 2005, and even 31 last...

In potentially a huge spoiler for tonight, Chris Jericho has been spotted backstage at WWE Raw that will emanate from San Antonio, Texas.
It is expected that he will appear on tonight’s broadcast and speculation is rife across the internet that Jericho will announce himself as an entrant in the WWE Royal Rumble that takes place in Orlando, Florida on January 23rd.
PWInsider reports that Y2J is not currently scheduled for this week’s SmackDown but has struck a deal to work more upcoming WWE live events and tv tapings.
Could a potential Rumble appearance setup a program that will see him compete at WrestleMania 32 in April? Lord knows they could do with the star power to help try and shift 100,000 seats. As for a potential opponent? Who wouldn’t want to see Chris Jericho take on Dean Ambrose, picking up on a potential feud that was setup late summer?...

Vince McMahon announced during the final segment of WWE Monday Night Raw that Roman Reigns would be defending his World Heavyweight Title on next week’s Raw against Sheamus… with the WWE owner appointing himself as the special referee for the bout.
The title match next week in San Antonio comes three weeks after Reigns won the belt from Sheamus on the December 15th episode of Raw. That show, which also featured the return of McMahon to television, drew one of the highest television ratings that Raw has received in many months.
WWE is obviously hoping that lightning strikes twice for the re-match next week, though if a quick glance is at social media is any indication, fans are less than enthusiastic about watching Reigns face off against Sheamus once again for the company’s top prize.

Neck injuries are nothing new in pro wrestling, but two WWE Hall of Famers are particularly familiar with neck injuries and the effect that they can have on the longevity of a wrestler’s career.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin experienced years of neck problems, stemming from a stinger suffered during a match with Owen Hart at SummerSlam 1997, before finally retiring from the ring in the spring of 2003. According to a report this week from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Austin contacted Tyson Kidd recently after hearing of the neck injury Kidd suffered during a match with Samoa Joe prior to WWE Raw in San Antonio.
Adam Copeland, better known to WWE fans as Edge, also recently contacted Kidd to discuss his neck injury and road to recovery. Edge is also no stranger to neck surgery, having undergone neck surgeries in 2003 (which allowed him to continue to compete...

Different cultures wipe their slate clean at varying points on the Gregorian calendar. For instance, Jews around the world celebrated Rosh Hashanah just over a month ago, while Chinese descendants await their annual New Year festivities this coming February.
For the WWE, last night's Raw represented some kind of fresh start in their cyclical programming, as several superstars either went back to the drawing board and/or returned from hiatus, ready to spark new rivalries and set aside any residual SummerSlam rancor. As always, in the interest of providing a service to you readers,...

Sorry for the lack of write-up last week, but here we are for a new results and review of this weeks’ episode of WWE Raw.
Last week’s event was held in the UK and Cena was attacked by Del Rio, Big Show attacked WWE Champion Randy Orton and slammed him through an announce table and the show ended with The Shield, The Wyatt Family, The Uso’s, Daniel Bryan and Cm Punk brawling in the ring.
Tonight’s Raw is being billed as WWE Raw Country, a themed Raw based on the fact that tonight’s show is being held in Nashville, Tennessee. Florida Georgia Line, a country band, will be playing live later apparently.
The show begins with Triple H’s music playing and The Game walking to the ring with his wifey, Stephanie McMahon. The two have smiles etched on their faces. Triple H talks about how...

We’re 24 hours removed from WWE Hell in a Cell 2013. Welcome to this week’s write-up of WWE Raw.
The show begins with a video package showing Daniel Bryan being kicked in the mouth by Shawn Michaels and losing to Randy Orton, who became the new WWE Champion.
John Cena is welcomed back as the New World Champion, and the fans, as they have for ten years now, are very mixed. A lot of boos from the adults in the audience, but the kids are having fun seeing the pink-shirt wearing hero back on television. I wish I could echo their cheers, but sadly I am not too happy about Cena’s return. I will say though, it does add some “oomph” to the World Title, being around Cena’s shoulder. The announcers put Cena over like their lived depend on it. Cena takes the microphone and proclaims that he’s back.

Coming into this Monday’s Raw, there was a lot of ill will from a lot of fans. After a what felt like a lazy finish surrounding the Big Show coming out of Battleground, WWE had a lot to make up for on this weeks episode. Did they deliver? Let’s talk about it.
The show begins with the woman now announced as “a principal owner” of the WWE Stephanie McMahon making her way to the ring. The better half of the COO says that she understands the frustration on the ending of the pay-per-view. She says that there’s one man to blame for all this, the Big Show. Stephanie calls out the giant and begins verbally abusing him. McMahon brings up his personal and professional pressures but Show doesn’t seem fazed by this at all. There many different locations in the WWE universe that have garnered much respect. We have the sacred ground of Madison Square Garden, the Allstate arena in Chicago and the Boston Garden. But out of all locations WWE has been, there’s nothing more fun than when WWE goes to “Bizarro World” in Toronto Air Canada Center.. And it’s only fitting that the bizarre one Goldust returns this past Monday from Toronto to avenge his brother attempting to get Cody’s job back against the WWE champion, Randy Orton.
The night begins with the returning WWE Hall of Famer Edge coming home to Toronto and the company. The Rated R Superstar comes back to a racous reaction. He says that he loves being back but it wasn’t of his own accord. Edge says he was mandated by Triple H to have a reunion with his old partner not Christian...

"WWE Raw" was live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada for the last Monday night show before the "Night of Champions" pay per view. Company COO Triple H and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, have been running Raw with an iron fist, after declaring that Randy Orton was the new face of WWE. Somewhere, John Cena cried a little.
The big news: WWE Hall of Famer Edge returned, much to the delight of his hometown crowd. Unfortunately, it didn't last long as Triple H kicked him out of the building after the two hurled insults at each other. Edge built up Daniel Bryan as a viable contender for the WWE Championship, while Triple H continued to tear him down. It ended with Triple H's muscle, The Shield, beating up Edge's friend Christian. When Edge tried went after Hunter, he got kicked out of the building.

Well it’s Wednesday morning, 3:40 Am Eastern time as I write this and I feel like talking about wrestling. Let’s talk with Monday’s Raw from WWE and possibilities for Money in the Bank.
WWE Raw overall was a lot stronger from the week prior. Action was solid and segments mattered once again. You knew the biggest story of the night was not the performance review of Vickie Guerrero, but the debut of the Wyatt family. I loved the Deliverance vignettes and mixture of live and taped segments. It really made things standout and made them feel different . I find it interesting that they went after Kane and took him out. I wonder what that means for Sunday and if Wyatt will make the Money in the Bank match thanks to new management.
Speaking of new management, the performance review of Vickie Guerrero was probably one of the worst segments of the show.

Over the last few weeks, Raw has been very entertaining to say the least. With the rise of Daniel Bryan, the disintegration of the Punk- Heyman relationship and Kaitlyn and Aj battling it out, the show has felt more vibrant. However, even with all those elements still in play the show felt a little lackluster then in previous weeks.
The show begins not with a recap of last week as has been customary for the last few months, but with a cold open with Vickie Guerrero. The managing supervisor announces the champion versus champion main event with Alberto del Rio and John Cena.
This would lead to a showcase of great WWE and World Champions of their perspective eras. I like the pomp and circumstance of it all, but I think more often than not, regardless of how you hype the match it just doesn’t matter like used to.

Last night’s Raw had quite the task to live up to after the excellent Payback pay-per-view in Chicago. With great matches and subtle storyline moments would the WWE deliver a good episode of Raw in Grand Rapids, Michigan? I believe for the most part that happened except for a few minor annoyances in my opinion.
The show began with the very over the top Alberto del Rio mugging to the fans with a chorus of boos echoing the arena much like the night before. Del Rio gets more and more agitated. Alberto justifies his reasoning for attacking Dolph’s head during the match needs back to when Ziggler won the title. Adr feels completely justified the fact that Dolph caught him when he was injured. I like this because it makes sense. Alberto continues to say that the fans turned their backs on him when he’s done everything...

After the announcement of John Cena’s injury from the European tour, there was a lot of speculation on what the WWE would do going into Monday. And what did we get exactly? Honestly, one of the weirdest episodes of Raw in recent memory.
I don’t know if it was the exhaustion from the flight over the Atlantic, but everything felt really haphazard. No more evident than with our opening match a triple threat match with Big E Langston versus Zeb Colter and Ricardo Rodriguez (rocking the Zubaz). The winner got to pick the stipulation for the triple threat match at Extreme Rules. It was what it was in the end, Ricardo picking up the victory, rolling up Colter for the win. I love the fact that halfway through the match everybody realize that it was no disqualification. It was one of those moments that left me scratching my head.

When the WWE travels across the pond, you are often not sure what you’re going to get. Between the jet lag of the performers and the grueling schedule of the whole caravan of events. It can really be a mixed bag at times. But at least in my opinion that was not the case for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Much like a few weeks ago, the crowd plays a large part in that. The enthusiastic crowd in the 02 Arena kept the energy up with certain chants, which unlike New Jersey a few weeks ago wasn’t as distracting and disrespectful in some aspects. As they were trying to be the whole show they were just trying to enhancing the experience they were having which is when a crowd should do.
But it wasn’t like they didn’t have enough to cheer for as WWE...

If there’s one message to take away from this week’s Monday Night Raw from Greenville, South Carolina it would be expect the unexpected. From quick upset wins over champions to out of nowhere attacks on certain superstars, it seemed like WWE was really trying to get people talking. But did it work? Let’s talk about it.
The show began with a handicap match featuring Sheamus and Randy Orton getting revenge once again on The Big Show. This time Randy and Sheamus are able to use their teamwork to easily dispatch the giant superstar with a Brogue Kick/Rko Combo clean for the win. After this, I wasn’t sure what was left in this feud since they just got the victory. WWE definitely had its campaign hat on as Monday Night Raw came from the Beltway and Washington, DC as the company tried the hard sell on why you should buy Wrestlemania this Sunday on pay-per-view. This episode much like the politicians that reside there was all talk and no action. But was it good old-fashioned rhetoric or just a filibuster? I’ve already cast my vote… Let’s see what you think.
The show opened up with John Cena giving his final speech and into MetLife Stadium and how he will overcome his past failure and take that symbol created by The Rock (his words not mine fans of Cm Punk). A lot of this for standard Cena saying the same things we have heard week after week on how he has to beat The Rock to prove to himself that he can do it. That is better than The Rock.

Justin Roberts is in the ring and introduces WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart to a huge pop from the crowd as he makes his first return in a WWE ring to Montreal for 15 years, since the infamous WWE Survivor Series 1997.
The crowd eventually calms down and allows Bret to speak. He thanks the fans for getting him through one of the darkest days of his life. WWE Champion Cm Punk’s music hits and out he comes.
Punk talks about Bret’s book and Punk says he doesn’t have the ego to ever write a book about himself. Punk asks what would have happened if he had wrestled Bret at the Survivor Series instead of Hbk. Bret says it wouldn’t have mattered because the fans know Bret would have tied up Punk like a pretzel in the Sharpshooter.
