The latest episode of Who Is America?, takes aim at Dan Roberts, the president of Youth Shooters of America, an organization that promotes youth shooting sports.
Disguised as an Israeli terrorism expert named Erran Morad, Sasha Baron Cohen told Roberts the best way to “survive a beheading” was to attack an assailant’s groin.
In order to demonstrate, Cohen strapped on a dildo and asked Roberts to drop to his knees. The pro-gun leader proceeded to bite the fake phallus and barked out muffled commands to the attacker, including “Drop your weapons!

Now in its fifth episode, Sacha Baron Cohen continues his crusade to dupe unsuspecting victims on his Showtime series Who Is America? This week’s episode didn’t include the much-anticipated interview with Sarah Palin, but it did feature interviews with former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, former Milwaukee sheriff David Clarke, and pro-gun advocate Dan Roberts.
Cohen donned his pro-Trump conspiracy theorist Dr. Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr. PhD persona to chat with Lewandowski and opened a whole can of worms when it came to Trump’s stance on race.
“I can tell you this…I had the privilege of standing next to Trump for 1,000 hours. Never ever have I heard him utter a racist word in his life,” said Lewandowski when Cohen asked him if Trump is a racist.
“The president doesn’t look at race — never has. Its a non-issue,” added Lewandowski, who is known for ridiculing...

Stop telling everyone you were duped by Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Who Is America?” show, celebrities and politicians. Your episode might not even air, Showtime programming president Gary Levine (indirectly) said on Monday.
Levine made the remark in a reporter scrum following Showtime’s broader executive session at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. Here’s how that smaller-scale Q&A went:
Reporter: “When does the Sarah Palin episode air?”
Gary Levine: “All I can say about that is there are several people who have thrown themselves in front of buses that may not be heading their way.”
Reporter: “So some of those bits he shot with famous people might even not end up in the show?”
Levine: “Sacha is incredibly hard-working and selective in the final product and he’s always refining it and he has a very high bar. So we will see what we will see.

Just over halfway into its first season, there is no formal decision from Showtime about whether Sacha Baron Cohen’s controversial Who Is America? will be coming back. But the network’s CEO wants more.
“I’m dying to bring it back,” premium cabler boss David Nevins said Monday at TCA of the gotcha series from the Borat creator, admitting it “will be a process” because of the secrecy involved.
“There have been casual conversations, but the goal has been to launch Season 1, and he’s still knee-deep in it,” Showtime programming president Gary Levine said of Cohen and the series after today’s panel.
Noting in his opening remarks at the Beverly Hilton that Who Is America? created “a lot of controversy and a lot of signups,” Nevins himself stated that the series is “a risk I am are really glad we took.”

Exclusive: Fresh from mocking Roy Moore and Jason Spencer on his Showtime series Who Is America?, Sacha Baron Cohen is setting his sights on the UK by producing a series for Viacom’s Channel 5.
I hear Baron Cohen’s indie Spelthorne Community Television, which he set up with former Channel 4 commissioner and Objective Media chief Andrew Newman, is making Outrageously Funny for the British broadcaster.
The six-part show, which was ordered by factual commissioner Greg Barnett, will celebrate Britain’s most genre-defining and boundary pushing comedians. However, it does not feature Baron Cohen himself, who is known for playing characters including Ali G, Borat and Brüno. Outrageously Funny is exec produced by Newman and Matt Edmonds and is the company’s debut commission for C5.
It comes hot on the heels of Who Is America?, the political satire series that Spelthorne produces, which has aired three episodes of so far.
