Where to begin with The Madness Within? How about right at the start. Seriously, this film has one of the strongest openings I’ve seen in ages. In fact the pre-credits sequence plays out almost like a trailer, showing us what type of man the protagonist is, what “interesting” things he gets up to: sex, drugs and something else, something darker. Something which you can tell right from the get-go is going to be dark and dangerous. And that’s even without so much as an inkling of plot. Director/Writer: Julián Lara. Cast: Hal Alpert, Nuria Aparicio and Nelly Castillo. To have wedding day jitters can be a groom's nightmare ... or can that include a bride as well? Julián Lara's short, "Till Death Do Us Part," is a smartly executed product that pays homage to a few cinematic tropes of the horror comedy genre. Not only that, this piece is a well written product that can tickle the funny bone for those viewers who have been there. To get married might be scary business for some who feel ill-prepared saying their vows. Lisa Rod (Amalia Holl) and Joseph Hunter (Kevin Hoffer) do a very good job in selling the fact they are nervous about their big day.
