Based upon a frightening fable penned by Clive Barker, the Candyman film series not only delivered a refreshing, sophisticated story—it also gave the horror genre a tragic and terrifying new boogeyman to fear in Tony Todd’s sinister portrayal of the title role. As the composer for both the original and follow-up film, Philip Glass’s cold soundscapes helped bloom the dark urban dystopia that resonated on the screen, complete with one of the most iconic movie themes of modern cinema. Summoning up Jeremy from Silver Ferox to create the hazy kodak visuals, One Way Static’s vinyl release of both Candyman and Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh captures and crystallizes the foreboding dread both sonically and visually in a stunning and sugary release.
Reflecting upon the task of visually complementing Glass’ sharp, splintered score, Jeremy explains, “I’ve admired Glass’ music ever since I saw/heard Koyaanisqatsi about 25 years ago.

In recent memory, each season of Big Brother has had at least one "crazy" houseguest. Starting with Jeremy from Big Brother 15 and moving to Jozea from Big Brother 18, the series has had one contestant who is way too off their rocker way too early into the season. Big Brother 19's flavor of crazy, at least for now, is Josh Martinez. While it is understandably frustrating that Big Brother has cast yet another houseguest who is more emotionally unstable than a great player of the game, there is something magically deranged about Josh. Josh is nutty but he's the type of nutty that makes great TV.

That was the UnREAL we know and love.
Things got pretty darn crazy on UnREAL Season 2 Episode 6, and it was the jolt the series needed to kickstart some of the more intriguing storylines.
I really can't fathom what's going through Rachel's mind. Her actions are really all over the place and as soon as I think I know what she's up to, she proves me wrong.
It's fair to assume that she pressed on with producing Everlasting in order to block what happened with Jeremy from her mind. Heck, anyone in her situation would probably want to keep busy in order to avoid thinking about it.
Her producing went a little too far and came at the expense of Beth Anne. Beth Anne was my favorite girl this season. She had her flaws, but she always tried to make up for them. It's just a shame that she was easily...

UnREAL is known for its jaw-dropping plot twists, but Monday's episode once again pushed its own boundaries ... and to a very dark place even by the show's standards.
Spoiler warning: For those who haven't seen the latest episode of UnREAL, plot details will be revealed ahead.
At the end of Monday's episode, "Infiltration," Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and Jeremy (Josh Kelly) found themselves in a frighteningly intense and violent fight that resulted in Chet (Craig Bierko) firing Jeremy from Everlasting, the show's Bachelor-esque show-within-a-show, and physically kicking him off the set.

What's wrong with Transformers: Age of Extinction? So much, apparently, that it took Cinema Sins two videos to pick it all apart. Here's Part 1 of what amounts to about a half hour's worth of assault on the Michael Bay film... Transformers: Age Of Extinction is a movie that you either love or you hate. While message boards and movie sites would say the latter is the more likely scenario, the box office returns speak to the former talking point at a higher volume. That's right folks, it's officially harder to tell whether the world loves or hates the Transformers movies than it is to tell which party has the real majority in American politics. Amid all of the confusion of which side rules the day is Jeremy from Cinema Sins: a man who didn't let a stupid thing like Bronchitis get in the way of crafting now one, but Two,...

With the one-two punch his reputation suffered after a pair of racism-laced videos hit the internet, Justin Bieber is pulling out all the stops to regain society’s love.
Taking aim at the sympathy of his fans, the “Beauty and a Beat” singer linked to a YouTube video posted by his dad Jeremy from a family celebration.
In the clip, Justin talks to his brother Jaxon and sister Jazmyn- “You don’t love me? Don’t you wanna stay with me, your brother? Don’t you at least wanna give me a hug and a kiss? You love me? How much you love me?"
Jeremy titled the video “My Family On My 40th Birthday” and added the caption, “I had an incredible weekend at a private cottage with my kids for my 40th birthday. Justin, Jazmyn and Jaxon are my life. I would be nothing without them. They make me...

Fellow Liberal Dead-heads, this is Ryne from The Moon is a Dead World. I’ve signed on to do a sort of recap/review of each week’s horror hits, so welcome to DEADtime TV. Again, Kevin Lovell helps out with reviews of The Following and From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, and Shawn Savage joins in with a review of The Walking Dead! This week, we say so long to The Walking Dead season 4 as the series ends for this year.
Resurrection: “Us Against the World” - Sunday, March 30 at 9 Pm
Resurrection‘s plot is often frustrating, because it withholds information from the viewer knowingly. The characters who have come back from death simply refuse to tell their stories, or what it was like in death, even though the audience realizes that they’re hiding something. And when it comes to the main characters like Bellamy and Maggie, they...

Resurrection: “Two Rivers” - Sunday, March 23 at 9 Pm
“Two Rivers” picks up right where last week’s “Unearth” left off; that episode ended with an annoying cliffhanger that felt done for the sake of exploring it next time, which is exactly what happens. Bellamy and Maggie opened Jacob’s tomb, and what they found was the remains of Jacob with the exact shirt that he was wearing when he returned.

The Vampire Diaries' college plot is working well, but who else wants a return to the days when this show actually killed characters off?
This review contains spoilers.
5.2 True Lies
It’s looking like we’re finally over the Stefan-in-a-box phase of season five, and now we can get to whatever phase comes with two evil Paul Wesleys and two nice Nina Dobrevs occupying Mystic Falls. The end of the episode saw Elena and Damon, before they could even properly look for Stefan, discover his box in the woods occupied by an unfortunate deputy. Yay! Ripper Stefan is so much better than normal Stefan, and now Elena’s in no position to beg for his redemption, given that she’s sleeping with his brother and is probably the reason he’s given up anyway. We might get more than a couple of weeks of evil Stefan goodness.

After reaching the half-way point in Dexter’s final season I expected the story to be in a very different place. Whereas the first half of the season was apparently all about seeing Deb hit bottom so she could start to accept Dexter back into her life while introducing Vogel, the second half will of course result in Dexter’s end one way or another, but getting there is still no more clear than it was at the beginning of the season. Having killed Yates, a figure which loomed high in the background of the story before revealing himself to be much less deserving of so much focus, the season has shifted to the Zach Hamilton arc which “A Little Reflection” spent the most time developing. When this plot was introduced last episode I rolled my eyes and groaned for mostly the same reason why I...

Geez, you go to Comic-Con for a week and the whole game of "Big Brother" changes! Can't leave those hamsters unattended for a minute! Last week, Helen made a Big Move and bumped Jeremy from the house, and it seemed as if the Mom Squad might make it all the way to the end. Of course, that was last week. This week, we got a twist and the notoriously wishy-washy Judd is Hoh. In other words, it's a whole new game. It's enough to give a hamster a headache. The twist, of course, is that America is the Mvp this week, though the hamsters don't know that. When Elissa...

It's been a week since "Vampire Diaries" heroine Elena burned her house to the ground with her little brother's dead body inside it, and we are showing no signs of getting over it. (We have spent a whole lot of time crying and listening to Noah Gunderson's "Family" on repeat on iTunes, and we're not even sorry about it.) As sad as we are to lose Jeremy, we're even sadder that Steven R. McQueen won't be on our TV screens every week any more.
McQueen took Jeremy from petulant stoner freshman to capable, swoon-worthy hunter, deftly navigating him through personal tragedies and romantic catastrophes along the way. We're pretty sure he's poised to be a Very Big Deal. So, naturally, we've taken it upon ourselves to act as backseat agent and make a few suggestions as to where McQueen's next move should take him.

Review Caroline Preece Feb 17, 2013
A major death occurs in this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries, but will it stick?
This review contains spoilers.
4.14 Down the Rabbit Hole
This week’s The Vampire Diaries might have changed everything in its last ten minutes, but we’re still far too concerned with this damn cure, along with the tedium of various love triangles and the clumsy dismissal of secondary characters. If the big death in this episode ends up sticking, it will be remembered as one of the more important ones but, if it doesn’t then we’ll all have to permanently lower our expectations from this point onwards.
The fact that we don’t know what we’ll be seeing next week might be great for tension and building fan theories, but it also demonstrates how much The Vampire Diaries has changed over the last couple of years. Judging...

He's also confiscated all of Klaus's Original-stopping daggers so he expects Rebekah to turn hers over. She refuses on the grounds of not being a complete idiot and orders him to leave.

This week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" certainly wasn't any fun for Stefan. A little compulsion and a ruthless game of truth-or-dare revealed that while Elena still loves him, she's no longer in love with him -- she's in love with Damon, and at least as far as her own feelings right now, it's unrelated to the sire bond.
The revelations were so heartbreaking for Stefan that he begged Rebekah to Eternal Sunshine his love for Elena right out of his mind. Of course, Rebekah isn't the type to hand out free psychic painkillers -- she'd rather watch Stefan writhe around in his agony. He's not just going to sit at home and mope, though. With nowhere else to turn, Stefan and Rebekah teamed up in their efforts to find the cure. We know why Rebekah wants the cure -- to weaken Klaus.
But why does Stefan want it? Is it because,...
