In today’s kid casting notices, we have a leading role for one ambitious young actor with “Clearance Bin Kids,” a silent short film. The project, written by Tim Rousseau for Pace University, seeks a male actor, aged 8–12, to depict the leading role of David. “Youthful and jubilant, [David] has a near-unlimited reserve of energy and zeal for life that is unmatched,” according to the character description. The film, which depicts “a young girl who runs away with her brother from her abusive father to prove that she can become an adult on her own,” will begin rehearsals in late September. Shooting is slated for Sept. 30–Oct. 3 in Asbury Park, New Jersey. For more information on “Clearance Bin Kid,” see the full listing here.
