Rapper Yo Gotti has been cleared of allegations he started a fight outside a nightclub in Memphis, Tennessee which led to a mass shoot out. The hip-hop star, real name Mario Mims, was left facing a felony charge of aggravated riot over accusations an argument with his friend Og Boo Dirt in November 2010 sparked a brawl which escalated to a shooting and left six people injured.
Mims appeared at Memphis' Criminal Justice Center on Wednesday, January 19 and a judge dismissed the charge against him. After the hearing, he spoke of his relief, telling Memphis' Fox 13, "Case dismissed, it's over. It's false allegations..."

A lawyer for rapper Yo Gotti is "confident" he will be cleared of any involvement in a shooting in Memphis, Tennessee following his arrest on Monday, December 13. The hip-hop star, real name Mario Mims, is facing a felony charge for aggravated riot stemming from an alleged verbal altercation with his pal, Og Boo Dirty, on November 29.
A third man interfered and a fight is said to have broken out, resulting in a shooting which left several people injured. Gotti surrendered to police on Monday after he was named as a person of interest, and he was subsequently hit with the felony count.
But the rapper's legal representative, Murray Wells, is sure his client will be proved innocent. Wells says, "(Gotti) is not an advocate of violence by any means. At the end of the day we're confident his name is going to be cleared."...

The hip-hop star, real name Mario Mims, is said to have been involved in a verbal altercation with a pal, Og Boo Dirty, on November 29 when a third man became involved.
A fight is alleged to have broken out, resulting in a shooting which ended with up to six people being injured. Memphis police announced they were keen to talk to Mims, who was away from the city for business reasons, and on Monday, December 12 the star returned to speak to cops.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Just made it to Memphis... turning myself in now!" Ballerstatus.com reports Gotti is to be charged with aggravated riot, a felony charge that can carry a penalty of one to six years behind bars.
