Epix has since been rebranded as MGM+, but the deal with Blumhouse is still in place – as Coming Soon has confirmed by unveiling the poster for the next Blumhouse and MGM+ collaboration, the thriller Unseen! You can check out the poster at the bottom of this article. Coming Soon also got the first look at a batch of images from the film, and you can see those by clicking over to their site.
Paramount Home Entertainment will be giving Unseen a digital and VOD release on March 7th, and then the movie will begin streaming on MGM+ in May.
Directed by Yoko Okumura (50 States of Fright: Ball of Twine – Kansas) from a screenplay by Salvatore Cardoni and Brian Rawlins, Unseen has the following synopsis: Two women...

I had a chance to interview Stephen Kijak at the Sundance Film Festival about his film We Are X. The interview follows: Alex Koehne: Yoshiki is an incredibly compelling character. I would watch a movie about him whether he was the biggest rock star in Japan or if he was a plumber. Is that what drew you to the project? Were you a fan the band beforehand or did this project come to you? Stephen Kijak: I was approached. This was a project that came to me from my relationship with John Battsek. He's a great documentary producer who did Searching for Sugar Man, he came here [to Sundance] last year with Listen to Me Marlon and he did Stone Drunk Brilliant Dead: The Story...

After watching Brahman Naman, the latest film from the Indian director known simply as Q, I had the opportunity to sit down with him along with the writer, Naman Ramachandran and three of the actors from the film; Sid Mallya, Shashank Arora, and Tanmay Dhanania. I enjoyed my conversation with the filmmakers just as much as I enjoyed the film itself. Alex Koehne: One of the movies you are most well-known for is Gandu, which was considered controversial due in part to its use of nudity and sexual situations. Instead of shying away from this, you open up Brahman Naman with the main character masturbating into a refrigerator. Q: Why beat around the bush? I hope that pun was intended. Q: Let's say it was....

As the organized chaos of another Toronto After Dark Film Festival descends upon the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, we have taken the time to pull together from our massive collective brain and summarize our feelings about a few of the films that we have caught at other festivals around the world. But don't take our word for it. And if you're good, perhaps there will be another video from Aaron and Justin from Resolution at the end.Guest contributor Alex Koehne caught the opening night film, Irish horror comedy Grabbers, earlier this year. He had this to say in his review. "...Jon Wright's Grabbers scratches the horror-comedy sweet spot in a manner seldom seen since 1990's Tremors. Like that film, Grabbers draws its humor far less...

Nicholas McCarthy's The Pact promises an intriguing mash-up of ghost story and serial killer flick, permeated by psychological troubles and murky secrets from the past. It focuses on the appealingly self-reliant Annie (Caity Lotz), beckoned home by her estranged sister Nicole when their abusive mother dies. On arrival it becomes apparent Nicole has gone missing, and before long things start to go bump in the night. As it all gets progressively more alarming (and dangerous) Annie dives into the past to unravel a family mystery and find out what the hell is going on. The Pact has split people here at Twitch with Alex Koehne enjoying the Sundance screening and concluding: "The character histories might be painted with fairly broad strokes, but with a mystery plot full of red...
