O.J. Simpson — the football Hall of Famer and former NFL star, Hollywood actor and double-murder suspect — went before the Nevada parole board on Thursday morning to seek his release from prison, nearly nine years after he was sentenced for his role in an armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel.
A decision is expected later Thursday.
Dressed in blue short-sleeves and jeans, Simpson, now 70, spoke at length in his defense at the hearing, which began at 10 a.m. local time. He appeared fit, relaxed and articulate, regularly cracking jokes to laughter from other attendees. At times he showed flashes of...

The year was 1924; the place, New York City. A group of animals from the Central Park Zoo marched down a street in Harlem accompanied by a very special group of people: a handful of immigrant Macy’s employees, who wanted to express how thankful they were for living in the United States that year. And thus, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was born.
Though today the event is a big blowout, with A-list stars, Broadway performances and millions of spectators on hand to watch the marching bands, floats and balloons make their way downtown, the parade had humble beginnings,...

It almost sounded like a confession.
At the end of Robert Durst's final interview for the HBO docuseries The Jinx, he headed into the bathroom while fully miked. Seemingly unaware that he was being recorded, he talked to himself. "You're caught," he mumbled. "You're right, of course. But, you can’t imagine. Arrest him."
"What the hell did I do?" he continued. "Killed them all, of course."
It's unclear whether this was a confession, but the FBI did arrest Durst on Saturday afternoon in New Orleans. (The FBI had been investigating Durst separately from the documentary, and there's no evidence...

The longtime 60 Minutes correspondent was killed in a car crash in New York City, CBS News reports.
The collision took place when a town car in which Simon was riding hit the driver's side of a Mercedes-Benz stopped at a Manhattan traffic light, pushing the town car into metal barriers separating traffic lanes, police said.
Simon was pronounced dead at the hospital. The town car driver, 44, suffered injuries to his legs and arms. The driver of the Mercedes was not hurt. No arrests were made, said police, and the accident remains under investigation.

It's tough to stand out among the other Super Bowl commercials, but the 30-second trailer for Disney's Tomorrowland turned a few heads - and probably brought back memories of Space Mountain. Yes, it's a movie inspired by Disneyland's futuristic-themed sector, and it's not the first time Disney transformed a ride into a feature film. Considering that some of the theme park's attractions have been beloved to Disney fans for years, it's surprising it took 60 years for Tomorrowland to spawn a movie. (California's Disneyland turns 60 this year, with plenty of celebrations foot.) To mark the World of Tomorrow's transition to the screen,...

But fear not, blissfully ignorant viewers. Although I will allude to a twist taking place tonight, I won’t blatantly spell it out. However, beware of any pieces you may put together as well as the comments section.

Under the protective shield of a colorful beach umbrella, Pink and her 3-month-old, Willow Sage, enjoy the sands of Malibu with friends on a sunny Saturday. Note the color of Willow's outfit. Nearby, Willow's dad, Carey Hart, was sporting a T-shirt with a Pabst Blue Ribbon logo, which just happened to be his drink of choice this afternoon. As the blissed-out new mom said last month, Willow Sage was named for "my favorite tree. I grew up near one. It's the most flexible tree in nature and nothing can break it - no wind, no elements. Cute, but maybe not wedding-album worthy. Here are Kris Humphries, now 26, and Kim Kardashian, 30, back in their high-school freshmen days. He wasn't quite the strapping lad of 6' 9" he is today, nor was she the voluptuous beauty - yet. Minnesota native Humphries attended Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, a suburb of Minneapolis, while Kardashian's alma mater was the private, all-girls' Roman Catholic school Marymount, in Bel Air, Calif. And you can tell in these pics from Snakkle.com, these two were something special. Saturday, in case you haven't heard, the two are tying the knot. - Stephen M. Silverman Photos:...
