Blood Night: The Legend Of Mary Hatchet director Frank Sabatella got in touch with the cover art for the limited-edition DVD of the movie, which hits October 30 along with the regular special-edition disc. He also informed us of a cross-promotion between his movie and New York City’s Blood Manor haunted attraction.
Scripted by Sabatella and Elke Blasi and produced by Sabatella and Frank Mosca, Blood Night stars Nate Dushku, Samantha Hahn and genre faves Bill Moseley and Danielle Harris in the tale of a group of youths terrorized by the spirit of ax murderer Mary Hatchet the night before Halloween. We previously spilled the details of the two DVDs here; the standard special edition (with the art above) can be pre-ordered now at Amazon.com, which the limited edition is available only at the movie’s official website.

The creators of Blood Night: The Legend Of Mary Hatchet sent along word that the official website for the grisly new indie feature has gotten an upgrade. They also passed on a couple of exclusive new pics you can see below the cut.
The enhanced site, which can be seen here, “is a cool and creepy place with tons of info, photos and even an awesome ‘Escape from the Asylum’ game,” Blood Night director Frank Sabatella tells Fango. “There’s a bunch of great downloads, some awesome videos and even a chance to win prizes! So go there, join our mailing list and tell your friends…Mary is coming!”

I keep hearing about Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet in that strange way that a film’s title will become implanted in your brain without you really understanding why. So I guess it was inevitable we mention it in these pages, eh?
The film’s creators just dropped us a line with word that the opening scene of Blood Night will be on display at this weekend’s Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill, NJ (home of Harold & Kumar’s White Castle), where Nomad & I will be kicking ass and taking names all weekend. A Blood Night panel featuring director Frank Sabatella, producer Frank Mosca, makeup man Jeremy Selenfriend and stars Danielle Harris, Samantha Hahn and Nate Dushku is scheduled for Saturday, where the footage will debut.
