Well, that was fast! Shortly after it was revealed that Jude Law was in negotiations to take on a lead role opposite Brie Larson in Captain Marvel, Variety updated their post revealing who he will be playing!
In the original report, they said not much was known about who he would be playing. Now they are saying that he will play Doctor Walter Lawson, a.k.a. Mar-Vell! He becomes a mentor of sorts to Danvers is learning about her new crazy powers. This confirms previous rumors that we reported on in the past. It makes sense that Captain Mar-Vell would be in the film because In the comics, Danvers is saved by Mar-Vell after a Kree machine explodes and exposes her to Kree radiation. In the process, Danvers is infused with Mar-Vell's superhuman powers. Here's what the previous report said:

We got our first major details for Captain Marvel at Comic-Con last month. We know the story will be set in the 90s and that Nick Fury will be involved with the story. It was also revealed that the Kree and Skrull war would tie into the story that is going to be told. Thanks to McU Exchange, we have some additional details on what else we might see in the film. These are just rumors at the moment, but it would be cool if they turned out to be true.
With Captain Marvel being absent from Avengers: Infinity War, fans have been wondering where this powerful character is when the Galaxy needs her the most. Since her big McU debut will be set in the 90s, it means that she would have been a superhero for about 20 years. You'd think she'd show up at some point! Apparently, her absence...

USA Picks Up Medical Drama Pilots ‘Rush’ & Complications’ To Series, Confirms ‘White Collar’ Renewal
Dr. Lawson, meet Dr. Rush and Dr. Ellis. USA Network has given 10-episode series orders to two medical dramas whose protagonists share DNA with the lead in Royal Pains, ER physician-turned-concierge doctor Hank Lawson. Rush, from writer-director Jonathan Levine and Fox 21, stars Tom Ellis as on-call doctor. Complications, from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix and Fox TV Studios, stars Jason O’Mara as an ER doctor. It’s been a big week for Nix with two series pickups, comedy The Comedians at FX and now Complications. Related: 2014 USA Network Pilots Complications appears to be part of a two-project deal between USA and FtvS that also includes the renewal of White Collar for a six-episode sixth season, which we scooped last night. As usual, USA does not acknowledge whether this is White Collar‘s final season and likely will make the announcement closer to the show’s airing, as it most recently did with Psych.

USA Network is known for its "characters," as its ads so often remind us. And Dr. Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) of Royal Pains is just another among the odd balls.
Royal Pains is the story of Dr. Lawson, a young medical genius who’s ethical to a fault. When he saves the life of a poor kid over a rich partner of the hospital, his career in New York City is ruined forever. Unable to find a hospital willing to hire him, he spirals into depression, drunkenness, and bad daytime TV. His trophy fiancée leaves him and he loses everything in his apartment except for his booze and his television.
So, when his Cpa brother and wannabe womanizer, Evan (Paul Costanzo) shows up to take him to The Hamptons for Memorial Day weekend, he agrees only because he’s run out of beer and Netflix movies.
What he finds at The Hamptons,...

Chicago – Premiere episodes of new series really only have to pass one test - will you return for the second week? The jury is still out on the health of a whole season, but the premiere of USA’s new “Royal Pains” is clever, witty, and promising enough that most viewers are very likely to return to see the good doctor in week two.
Television Rating: 3.5/5.0 The USA Network has become one of the most successful on cable with an interesting formula - mix a charismatic lead who happens to be an expert at what he does, a partner to provide comedic relief, a mystery of the week, and maybe an overarching plotline to tie it all together. Serve it all in a unique setting.
