After a brief halt in production, AMC was able to secure “significant agreements” with the SAG-AFTRA actors union that allowed them to continue filming Interview with the Vampire season 2 (as well as the Walking Dead spin-offs Daryl Dixon and The Ones Who Live), keeping the show on track for its 2024 premiere. Now AMC has released a clip from Interview with the Vampire season 2 that largely focuses on a conversation between Louis and a vampire from the Theatre des Vampires, but also gives a glimpse of Delainey Hayles as Claudia, a character who was played by Bailey Bass in the first season. And it allows Claudia to participate in a vampire feast.
Bass had to drop out of the Claudia role due to “a variety of unforeseen circumstances”.

AMC unveiled the first scene from the much-anticipated upcoming second season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire during their New York Comic Con panel and then – fortunately – made it available online. The nearly four-minute scene shows Santiago (Ben Daniels) guiding a group that includes Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (now played by Delainey Hayles) to a mansion. After using his particular set of skills to determine the layout and the number of humans inside, Santiago and most of the group enter to feast on the unsuspecting occupants.
However, Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) remain outside, flirting and getting to know each other.
Not shown but also returning for season two are Sam Reid as Lestat and Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy
Season one premiered on October 2, 2022 and wrapped up on November 6, 2022. Season two is currently shooting in Prague and is targeting a 2024 premiere.

Krysten Ritter has fallen down an all new rabbit hole in the first look at the AMC Networks’ anticipated spinoff, Orphan Black: Echoes.
The network released the minute-and-a-half trailer on Thursday during its panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and sees a disoriented Lucy (portrayed by Ritter) waking up to an unrecognizable near future. The original series is set in the same clone-filled universe as its critically acclaimed and fan-loved BBC America predecessor, Orphan Black, which starred Tatiana Maslany.
“What’s wrong with me?” Ritter’s Lucy can be seen asking. ”Why don’t I know who I am?”
The series is set to explore the scientific manipulation of human existence and will follow a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives while embarking on a journey that will both unravel the mystery of their identity and uncover a story of love and betrayal.

The second season of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire TV series has been filming primarily in Prague since April (with other locations including Paris and New Orleans) – but Deadline has been able to confirm that the production has now been halted due to the Screen Actors Guild strike. Some of the show’s stars are SAG, so filming won’t be able to resume until the strike has ended.
Anne Rice’s novel Interview with the Vampire centers on the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac as he relates the story of his life to a reporter, in particular how he was turned into a vampire and then mentored by Lestat de Lioncourt.
The AMC version stars Sam Reid (The Newsreader) as Lestat; Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones) as his companion Louis de Pointe du Lac; Assad Zaman (Small Axe) as Rashid, Louis’ companion in present day; newcomer Kalyne Coleman...

The second season of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire TV series is set to begin filming in Prague this week (before moving on to other locations like Paris and New Orleans), but before the cameras start rolling we have some unexpected casting news to report. Deadline has broken the news that Bailey Bass will not be reprising the role of teen vampire Claudia in season 2. Instead, she’s being replaced by Delainey Hayles, whose previous credits include the TV shows Too Close on ITV and Holby City on the BBC.
AMC provided the following statement: “Bailey Bass is a talented actor who did a remarkable job bringing the character of Claudia to life in Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. For a variety of reasons, Delainey Hayles will appear as Claudia in season two. We are grateful for Bailey’s unforgettable performance in season one and wish her nothing but the best.

AMC is so dedicated to building a franchise out of the books and characters from Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, they ordered a second season of the Interview with the Vampire TV series before the first season had even started airing. The first season wrapped up its seven episode run back in November, and now it’s time to start looking ahead to season 2. Deadline reports that Ben Daniels (Foundation) has signed on for a series regular role in Interview with the Vampire season 2, and he will be playing the character Santiago, “the leading vamp thespian of the Theatre des Vampires who grows increasingly suspicious of the American vampires Louis and Claudia.” When Interview with the Vampire was brought to the screen in 1994, Santiago was played by Stephen Rea.

The Anne Rice Cinematic Universe is in full swing at AMC with Interview with a Vampire and Mayfair Witches.
Now, there are plans to plot a crossover with the two series.
Mark Johnson, exec producer of both shows, speaking at AMC’s TCA press tour, said there are “ongoing conversations” over a crossover. “You’ll see a lot of connections, both in terms of characters in terms of geography… I guess almost like Easter eggs. We very much want to tie the worlds together in a way that makes sense. Of course, they’re completely separate on the one hand, but thematically and in terms of how Anne Rice deals with character, we want to find a way to have that flow throughout the various shows.”

AMC is working to build a franchise out of the books and characters from Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, so it’s not too surprising to hear that they’ve already ordered season 2 of Interview with the Vampire, which doesn’t begin airing until October 2nd – although I was hoping we’d be getting mini-series adaptations of each book in the series, rather than an ongoing Interview with the Vampire series.
Variety has confirmed that Interview with the Vampire season 2 will consist of eight episodes and will take place in Europe.
AMC’s Dan McDermott provided the following statement: “The scope and breadth of this show, and what Mark and Rolin have delivered, is just stupendous. They have rendered the rich and vibrant world of Anne Rice’s Interview in a wonderful way, and we’re incredibly proud. From the set build, to production design, costumes and more — no detail was overlooked.

The team behind AMC’s “Interview With the Vampire” series weighed in on the use of intimacy coordinators on set during a panel for the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
“We worked with an intimacy coordinator quite extensively,” series star Sam Reid said. “I think it’s really important working with an intimacy coordinator. I haven’t not worked with an intimacy coordinator for a number of years. I think it treats those scenes more like a stunt scene or a fight scene, so they’re choreographed as well as trying to keep some spontaneity in it. It was kind of fun doing it in that way. We got to rehearse it and know exactly what was going to happen.”
The question arose over the fact the Lestat, played by Reid, and Louis de Pointe, played by Jacob Anderson, become involved physically early on in the series, requiring Reid...
