- Todd Rheingold is known for Robbery Homicide Division (2002) and The 11th Hour: Stories from a Real Life Negotiator (1998).
- His background so impressed director Michael Mann, that he offered him a regular part in his TV show Robbery Homicide Division (2002), in which he plays the squad leader of the Special Weapons and Tactics unit.
- Before joining Metro Division, he worked in several divisions in LAPD: Central, Wilshire, Hollenbeck, Rampart, 77th Street, Southwest, Hollywood and Pacific.
- Prior assignments : Patrol, Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (aka C.R.A.S.H., the notorious anti-gang unit), Communications Divison and Metro Division (C-Platoon and D-Platoon).
- He is a squad leader of Metro's Division Special Weapons And Tactics in Los Angeles. He is also one the most effective crisis negotiator of the unit.
- Was decorated with the L.A.P.D. Medal of Valor for bravery in action.
