Nadiya Hussain, who shot to global stardom when she won the 2015 edition of “The Great British Bake Off,” is set to voice new CBeebies show “What’s On Your Head?”
Produced by London and Bristol-based indie outfit Gold Wala, the show is a 10-part factual entertainment series inspired by the wearing of face masks during the pandemic. It was commissioned for CBeebies, the BBC’s free-to-air children’s television network aimed at children aged 7 and below.
“What’s On Your Head?” will explore the different things people wear on their face or head for religious, cultural, professional and safety reasons. From hijabs to lawyer’s wigs, scuba masks to firefighter helmets, the series is a new way for children to understand the world around them using a combination of live action and animation that celebrates diversity, humanizes difference and explains the reasons why people decide to put something on to cover their head or face.

Morph is jumping out of his box and returning to our TV screens next month with a new series for Cbbc.
The new episodes follow a Kickstarter campaign in late 2013 that raised over £110,000 and part-funded 15 brand new one-minute instalments.
An official YouTube channel showing the episodes was launched in July 2014.
Aardman Animations is behind the return of its own 1977 creation, who first appeared on television as part of BBC children's art programme Take Hart alongside the now-late artist Tony Hart.
Viewers can expect a smoother movement of the figures than in the past, following advances used on recent Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep projects from Aardman.
Peter Lord, Aardman co-founder and co-creator of Morph, said: "Both Morph and I are equally delighted that his latest adventures are back on the BBC. Although he's been away for a while, I'm delighted to report that he's as lively and full-of-fun as...

Cbbc will be getting involved in election fever soon with its new show Vote for Me - in which a group of Year 6 pupils battle it out to become headteacher.
The hopeful candidates will enter the race to become headteacher of their South East London primary school for a week and put into place their new policies - if they can keep their election promises, that is.
During the school election, the pupils will announce their policies and launch campaigns with the help of a top advertising agency.
They'll also get advice from the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, but will have to brush up on their interview technique as the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson will be putting them to the test on their manifestos.
The show, presented by Stacey Dooley, will also feature guest appearances from Dick & Dom and Bobby Lockwood as well as short films about voting,...

(Cbr) Danger Mouse’s gadgets won’t be the only elements getting updated in the BBC’s recently announced revival of the 1980s animated series. According to The Guardian, the new Danger Mouse will also feature some gender-swapped characters. “Characters that might have been male in the past will now be female characters,” Cbbc controller Cheryl Taylor said during the Children’s Media Conference. This is part of an overall movement by the BBC to not only include more female characters, but also feature more women as hosts and narrators. Taylor said the new "Danger Mouse" will feature classic elements of the original while branching out into new directions for a modern audience. “Having seen the scripts, which are really whiz-bang, they’ve managed to retain that fantastic rather old-fashioned British humor as well as bringing something fresh,” she said "Danger Mouse" will debut sometime in 2015 with a 52-episode season co-produced by FremantleMedia.

The Leftovers
Want answers to the central mystery of the 'Sudden Departure' in HBO's "The Leftovers"? You probably aren't going to get them - or at least not in the way you may want. Vulture just ran a lengthy interview with author Tom Perrotta in which the following quote was dropped:
"To hear [Producer Damon] Lindelof tell it, a big reveal seems unlikely. 'If that's why you're watching the show, don't watch the show.'" In fact there was "defining creative tension" between himself and Lindelof as the question of whether supernatural events can happen on the show.
The Knick
Steven Soderbergh says he had such fun doing his upcoming medical drama "The Knick," which premieres in early August, that he's keen on getting going on a second season and is just waiting for the official go ahead from Cinemax:
"We'll find out within the next couple of weeks. I know they're happy.

The upcoming Danger Mouse reboot may feature female characters who were previously male.
The move is said to fit into the BBC's plans to make female characters more prominent in children's shows, reports The Guardian.
Cbbc will air 52 new episodes of the classic 1980s cartoon in 2015. The original series featured very few female characters.
"Characters that might have been male in the past will now be female characters," Cbbc controller Cheryl Taylor said.
However, she did not specify which characters could see gender swaps.
CBeebies controller Kay Benbow said of the move: "I still feel the default tendency is for there to be a male lead or a male presenter."
The new series will see Danger Mouse and Penfold still stationed at their iconic red post box. However, it will be filled with modern technology, including the title character's eye patch being replaced by a multi-function 'iPatch'.

The BBC has announced that is planning to bring back Horrible Histories for a sixth series.
The children's history and comedy sketch show was thought to have been retired after the airing of two repackaged specials last year.
According to Broadcast Now, Cbbc controller Cheryl Taylor has confirmed that she was in advanced talks with producers Lion Television and Citrus Television about renewing the programme.
"It seemed too good an opportunity to say 'that's it'," said Taylor of the revival at the Children's Media Conference in Sheffield.
"It's a brand that the audience adores and possibly more than any other show on the channel, it manages to sit in two different genres.
"It can absolutely be enjoyed as a comedy," she added, "but everything is factually correct."
Taylor also revealed that new additions to the cast are being considered.

Not Going Out is to return to BBC One for a sixth series this April.
Lee Mack (Lee), Sally Bretton (Lucy) and Katy Wix (Daisy) will all return for the new episodes, though Tim Vine will not be back.
Wix recently told Digital Spy that the other cast members "did everything to persuade" Vine to return, but said that the comic had "his reasons" for moving on.
Bobby Ball will make another appearance in the new series of Not Going Out as Lee's trouble-making father, while other storylines will include a jealous Lee fighting for Lucy's attention when she reunites with her first love, and Lee, Lucy and Daisy getting stuck in a cable car on an Eastern European skiing trip.
Not Going Out was originally cancelled after three years, but was later revived by the BBC, with a fifth and sixth series being ordered together after a fourth run attracted impressive ratings.
