Twenty years after its release, the Jennifer Garner-led comedy 13 Going on 30 is still thriving.
Sony released Gary Winick’s comedy in theaters April 23, 2004, and the film earned $96 million ($159 million today) at the global box office. Also featuring Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer and Andy Serkis, the movie centered on teenage Jenna Rink (played by Christa B. Allen, now known as Christa Belle), who gets embarrassed at a party and makes a wish that transforms her into her 30-year-old self (Garner).
Co-writers Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, in addition to Belle, separately share with The Hollywood Reporter about other actresses being considered for Garner’s part, Ruffalo feeling hesitant to do the “Thriller” dance, memories of Winick (who died of cancer in 2011 at age 49), the status of a stage musical, and persistent chatter among the film’s team regarding a potential onscreen reboot.

New couple alert? Not so fast… On July 4, 13 Going on 30 actress Christa B. Allen raised eyebrows after posting an intimate TikTok with The Game. We really hope you're able to stay poised after you realize how long it's been since 13 Going on 30 first hit theaters. Indeed, the beloved Jennifer Garner comedy was released on April 23, 2004, meaning it's nearly 18. years old. Feel free to take a moment to process this. The magic-laced film from director Gary Winick boasted a hugely talented cast, including not just Jen but also Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer and Christa B. Allen. Plus, there were the not-yet-famous faces comprising the Six Chicks, including Brie Larson and Ashley Benson. This project clearly meant just as much to the people in it as it did to those of watching. In January, Jen posted a photo of herself hanging...

If there's something that most people can agree on, it's the idea that the world could use more unity, community, justice, and change.
With its string of inspirational and heartening films, Lifetime presents The Fight that Never Ends, a film inspired by the real experiences of Joanne Beck, who serves as producer of the movie.
When times are bleak, it's nice to have uplifting and inspirational stories told, and this one fits the bill.
The Fight That Never ends is about community, the efforts of hardworking and selfless individuals who hope to instill change and curb the gang violence that is riddling a neighborhood.
It's a human story and a love one that pushes for the fight for racial justice through bringing unlikely souls together rather than sowing seeds of division.

It’s been 10 years since audiences first met Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) in her quest for revenge on the wealthy Grayson family, who she believed were responsible not only for her father going to prison, but also for his death.
Loosely based on “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas, the series, aptly titled “Revenge,” ran four four seasons on ABC, from 2011-2015. It followed Emily (real name Amanda Clarke) as she moved to the Hamptons to carry out her plan, only to become more embroiled with the Graysons than even she could have expected and to learn secrets about her father than shocked even her.
Here, the cast and crew talk about the series’ overnight success, the confines of network television and about the departure of a key figure integral to the show’s DNA.

Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo are back together again, and it's making us super nostalgic. On Tuesday afternoon, the former 13 Going on 30 costars shared a photo of their sweet reunion on the set of The Adam Project, which is currently filming in Vancouver. "Reconnecting with an old pal," Ruffalo wrote alongside a selfie of the pair. "Anyone know where we can get Razzles in Canada?"
Garner and Ruffalo are set to play Ryan Reynolds' parents in the upcoming science fiction film, but they are well-known for playing Jenna and Matt in the popular rom-com 13 Going on 30. Of course, Garner and Ruffalo's reunion isn't the first time we've gotten nostalgic about the film. In 2018, Ariana Grande paid tribute to the movie in her "Thank U, Next" music video, and most recently, Christa B. Allen, who played young Jenna, re-created iconic scenes for Halloween.

Here's hoping that Christa B. Allen will view her Revenge reunion invite from the standpoint of "better late than never." After the actress shared via Instagram on Monday, Jan. 25 that she wasn't pleased to have been left off the invite list to join her former Revenge co-stars during an upcoming virtual event, the reunion's organizer tells E! News exclusively that the omission was based on limitations of the platform and was not intended to be taken personally. Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke's twisted tale of revenge is over, but ABC is poised to kick off a new iteration of Revenge.
We reported earlier this month that a brand new series set in the same universe of 2011-15 TV original is officially in the works.
The new iteration follows a young Latinx immigrant who arrives in Malibu seeks revenge on a "Sackler-Esque pharmaceutical dynasty, whose insatiable greed lead to the murder of her biochemist mother, the destruction of her family, and a global epidemic."
The most intriguing aspect of a potential sequel is that a character from the original would be on board to guide this young woman on her mission.
No details have been revealed about who will be back, but that doesn't mean we can't chat about who should return in some capacity for the sequel.

Grand Hotel looks set to be one of the soapiest dramas on all of TV, and we're quite okay with that.
If the mark of a good show is when it embraces its genre, then we're sure you're going to find something to like about Grand Hotel.

Soapy drama set against the backdrop of a Miami Beach hotel revolves around the family who owns the business, the staff who run it and the explosive secrets they hide under the perfect exterior.
The secrets are well on display in the first trailer, I can't get away from the striking similarities to The CW's Dynasty. There's a new wife with the powerful father, and the daughter hates her and wants to derail the whole relationship.

61 years ago today, J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” continued with the release of its second volume, “The Two Towers.” That November release followed that summer’s debut of “The Fellowship of the Ring,” which came nearly two decades after “The Hobbit” hit shelves in 1937. Tolkien’s epic tale of Middle-earth continued in this second volume, introducing readers to Treebeard and his fellow Ents, to the realm of Rohan and to Gríma Wormtongue. The third “Lord of the Rings” volume, “The Return of the King” was released in October 1955, so fans had to wait nearly 12 months to find out what happened after the cliffhanger of “Two Towers,” which ends with Samwise realizing that Frodo had not been killed by Shelob’s venomous sting, as it had appeared, but merely drugged. “Frodo was alive but taken by the Enemy,” the book ends. Rayner Unwin, the books’ publisher, later said, “For...

It looks like Amanda's revenge plots are coming to an end. ABC as cancelled their Revenge TV show after four seasons.
On this season of Revenge, many things have changed but Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) still had plenty of reasons to hate each other. The rest of the show's cast includes Gabriel Mann, Nick Wechsler, Josh Bowman, Christa B. Allen, James Tupper, and Karine Vanasse.
There had been speculation that Revenge would be ending this season, especially since a network promo teased viewers not to miss "the final four episodes."
