A24 has released a new trailer for “The Adderall Diaries,” which stars James Franco and Amber Heard. The film will debut as a DirecTV Exclusive on March 10 before it receives a theatrical release on April 15. Pamela Romanowsky wrote and directed the indie drama based on the best-selling memoir by Stephen Elliott. Franco produced alongside Vince Jolivette, Joseph McKelheer and James Reach. Ed Harris, Christian Slater and Cynthia Nixon co-star in the film, which chronicles how an author’s fascination with a high-profile murder case leads him to come to terms with his troubled past while embarking on a potentially life-changing.

The perpetually busy James Franco might just begin his 2015 with the Park City launch-padding of (among others) Pamela Romanowsky’s sophomore film which comes across as an interplay between fiction and fact. Prior to landing The Adderall Diaries at (count ‘em four) Sundance Institute’s Screenwriter’s Lab, the Director’s Lab, the Producer’s Summit, and the Film Music and Sound Design Lab at Skywalker Sound all in 2013, Romanowsky directed Franco in The Color of Time (formerly titled “Tar”) which also starred Mila Kunis, Jessica Chastain and Zach Braff. Shooting began in May of this year, with Franco leading a cast comprised of Amber Heard and Christian Slater. Worth noting is Robert Redford has an executive producer cred, could it follow in the same fest berth as his last executive produced film, Drunktown’s Finest?

Exclusive: Lionsgate and Morgan Spurlock’s Warrior Poets banner have sealed separate deals for Fight Church, the feature documentary tracking a group of Mixed Martial Arts-fighting pastors whose violent practices have sparked controversy within the Christian community.
Co-directed by Oscar-winner Daniel Junge (Saving Face, Beyond The Brick: A Lego Brickumentary) and Bryan Storkel (Holy Rollers: The True Story Of Card Counting Christians), Fight Church follows several Mma-battling ministers who preach from the pulpit and the octagon and even train fighters using the teachings of the Bible. Lionsgate sprang for North American VOD rights and will debut the film on iTunes and additional digital platforms on September 16, while Netflix will premiere it in multiple territories this Fall.

Chicago – As much as our love for Netflix continues to grow on a daily basis as the company expands its grip on the streaming empire by offering brilliant programming like “Orange is the New Black” and “House of Cards,” the interface, both on computer and iOS can be a little overwhelming. Let’s face it… vampires have been done to death. Whether it’s the hundreds of Dracula films, the Twilight franchise or True Blood and The Vampire Diaries on TV, the fanged ones have had their time in the sun. Back in 2006, the independent feature titled The Hamiltons was released as part of the After Dark Horror Festival.
Having watched almost every entry in the After Dark series up to that point, I wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. Now some six years later, directors “The Butcher Brothers” (Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores) have returned with most of the first film’s cast to give us The Thompsons, the sequel to The Hamiltons.
Picking up after a particularly unpleasant event between the two films (dramatized here for exposition), The Hamiltons have changed their name yet again, to The Thompsons and leave for England fleeing the law.

A sequel to The Hamiltons, The Thompsons is an indie horror film directed by Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores aka the Butcher Brothers, which premiered at the London FrightFest Film Festival on August 26th, 2012.
We have an exclusive clip if you’re interested learning more about a sequel to 2006s fugitive vampire clan movie, which is being described as ‘Twilight meets Tarantino’.
Now available on DVD and Blu-ray, a movie about pretty teenage vampires stars Corey Knauf, Samuel Child, Joseph McKelheer, Mackenzie Firgens, Ryan Hartwig, Elizabeth Henstridge, Sean Browne, and Tim Holloway.
The effects are a mixture of practical and digital and have been upgraded from the original. However, the action sequences are still very unrealistic, as well as the fight scenes were poorly put together.
Check out the exclusive clip along with the official trailer and cover art below.

Directors/writers: The Butcher Brothers (Mitchell Altieri, Phil Flores). Cast: Cory Knauf, Samuel Child, Elizabeth Henstridge, Daniel O'Meara, Mackenzie Firgens, Ryan Hartwig, Sean Browne, Tom Holloway, Joseph McKelheer, and Selina Giles. The Thompsons is a sequel to the 2006 film The Hamiltons. Both films deal with a vampire clan in search of ever more blood to drink. This reviewer is unfamiliar with the first film, but this second title can be seen on its own. Centrally, The Thompsons is a story of Francis (Cory Knauf). His voice over narration guides the story from the United States over to the United Kingdom. His journey is full of violence with his brothers and sisters looking for aid for the fallen Lenny (Ryan Hartwig). They do not find help, but they do find a malevolent vampire clan bent on destroying them. The Butcher Brothers (Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores) have created a fantastic tale...

Here is the trailer for The Aggression Scale, thanks to Heat Vision. Steven C. Miller directed this genre film, which will have a world premiere at SXSW as part of the Midnighters program. The pic is described as a being "in the spirit of the 1980s canon and in the vein of A History of Violence but with the teens as the heroes, taking on four hitmen over $500,000 in stolen cash."
The cast includes Fabianne Therese (John Dies at the End), Ryan Hartwig (The Thompsons), Dana Ashbrook (Twin Peaks), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th), Jacob Reynolds (Gummo), Joseph McKelheer (The Hamiltons), and Ray Wise (Twin Peaks).
Miller directed this film based on a script by Ben Powell. I loved A History of Violence and like the fact that this has two people from Twin Peaks. The song used in the trailer makes sets the tone for a cool looking film.

The Aggression Scale Trailer. Steven C. Miller‘s The Aggression Scale (2012) movie trailer stars Ray Wise, Dana Ashbrook, Derek Mears, Jacob Reynolds, and Fabianne Therese. The Aggression Scale‘s plot synopsis: “Four heavily armed hitmen and two unusual teenagers go to war over $500,000 of stolen cash.”
God damn this film looks intense. I can not wait to watch this movie. I would go to war over $500,000 as well. If handled right, that amount of money could be life changing.
What is an agression scale:
