Almost exactly one year after Kevin Smith sold his horror anthology Killroy Was Here as an Nft (with the Ashley Benson slasher Alone at Night following in his footsteps soon after), Variety reports that XYZ Films has picked up the domestic distribution rights to another film that blends horror with crypto. Thankfully, this one isn’t being sold as an Nft, it will be heading out into the world in a more traditional way. The new movie is called The Deep Web: Murdershow and it will take viewers on a dark ride when a journalist’s search for clues to his sister’s murder leads him to a disturbing crypto currency torture website inside the deep web called The Murdershow. As those close to him disappear, he must find and stop this reign of terror.
The idea of torture website kind of reminds me of the Hostel movies. If that franchise were still alive,...

1. Starting with the obvious, The Final Problem is of course the title of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1893 short story in which Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty appear to tumble to their deaths in the Reichenbach Falls. Andrew Scott’s Moriarty references the title several times in series two finale The Reichenbach Fall.

The first teaser for the supernatural thriller The Witch is bound to terrify you.
The Office's Ralph Ineson makes a comeback in The Witch, but there are no laughs from the Chris Finch actor this time around.
A Puritan family seemingly find paradise in making their new settlement, only to discover that devilment could drive them to ruin.
Writer-director Robert Eggers's old-school horror movie is riding high off winning the Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
It is also scheduled to be shown at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in September as part of the Special Presentations programming block.

Ricky Gervais has confirmed that The Office's David Brent will be heading to the big screen with his own movie, Life on the Road.
So as we anticipate what Brent has been up to since the end of the BBC hit comedy, here's what the cast have done since:
Ricky Gervais
Ricky Gervais played the lead role as David Brent - the embarrassing, toe-curling and cringeworthy boss of company Wernham Hogg, devoid of self-awareness but poised with an unwavering love for the paper merchants he manages.
Gervais went on to create comedy Extras with Stephen Merchant, which was co-produced by the BBC and HBO and aired between 2005 and 2007. Gervais played ambitious actor Andy Millman, afflicted with a useless agent played by Merchant. Guest stars have included Patrick Stewart, Samuel L Jackson, Ben Stiller and Kate Winslet.
In 2009, Gervais starred in, wrote and directed his feature comedy debut The Invention of Lying.

Whenever Dagmer Cleftjaw comes onscreen in season 2, I'm likely to scream, "Finch-y!"
Fans of the British Office know what I'm talking about.
British actor Ralph Ineson has been cast in a recurring role on Game of Thrones season 2 as Dagmer Cleftjaw, an ironborn warrior who serves as master-at-arms for the Greyjoys at the Iron Islands. He captains his own ship, Foamdrinker, and is an all-around badass. He got the name Cleftjaw from a nasty scar he received as a child. He'll share plenty of scenes with Theon (Alfie Allen), Yara (Gemma Whelan), and Balon (Patrick Malahide).
Ineson is probably most famous for his turn as the disgustingly vile Chris Finch on The Office. He most recently appeared as the Death Eater Amycus Carrow in the three final Harry Potter films. He's appeared in plenty of British shows, including New Tricks, Waking the Dead, Merlin, The It Crowd, and Coronation Street.

Degrassi: The Next Generation has a long history of prominent gay characters and this season is no exception. Earlier this year we met Riley Stavros, a teenager struggling with his sexuality, unable to accept that he is gay. For fun I often chill with my friends and do a whole bunch of random things such as play soccer and video games, watch movies and listen to music.
