Co-founded The Innocence Project in 1992, which helps wrongly-accused
defendants get DNA testing to exonerate them.
Is an advocate for forensic science, and serves on the New York State
Commission on Forensic Science. Lectures to police departments and
prosecutors across the country about the proper use of genetic
fingerprinting.
Father George M. Scheck (born 16 August 1911) was an early television producer for the Dumont Network station WABD where he produced the kid's talent show "Star Time". He later was agent for singer Connie Francis. Mother Eleanor was a homemaker.
