Before Dua Lipa’s new song “Houdini” arrives tonight, the singer gave the exclusive first listen to the much-anticipated single to a random fellow on the street.
In a bit filmed for BBC Radio 1, Dua Lipa and the station’s Greg James hit the streets of London to find someone “who might not be a Dua Lipa fan” and then share with them the gift of the world premiere of “Houdini.”
The duo then spot and descend on Richard, an older gentleman whose workday is about to be uprooted.

Chris Moyles has revealed that the way his 2012 exit from the Radio 1 breakfast show was handled left him feeling “a bit cross”.
Moyles led the extremely popular BBC radio broadcast for almost nine years – longer than any other presenter before or since – totalling 15 years at the station.
He was succeeded by Nick Grimshaw who gave way to Greg James in 2018.
Speaking to MP Matt Hancock on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here on Monday night’s episode (14 November), Moyles said his departure was handled “so badly”.
“I knew that Radio 1 is a conveyor belt and you might be there for a year or you might be there for 15 years, but you’re going to fall off the end at some point,” he said.
Hancock asked: “Politics is like that. Did you know the end was coming? Did you leave happy or did you leave cross?”

No lie—Jake Gyllenhaal is a Sean Paul superfan. While you probably didn't expect this headline today, the Spider-Man: Far From Home star made his fandom known loud and clear during a recent appearance on Radio 1 Breakfast With Greg James' "Unpopular Opinions" segment. The premise of the segment is simple: you listen to some unpopular opinions and discuss. This time, one listener had some critical words about Sean Paul. "I think Sean Paul is massively overrated," caller Brandon said. However, the Oscar nominee was having none of that. "No, absolutely—just hang up on him," the actor confidently retorted in complete...

"It's a film that's bound to make your inner child smile." Perhaps? Indican Pictures has debuted an official trailer for an indie comedy titled Zilla and Zoe, which originally premiered at the Portland Film Festival in 2017. This amusing, heartfelt, fun comedy set in Portland is about a young 10-year-old girl named Zoe who is obsessed with gore and horror. To win the contest of her dreams and pursue a career in filmmaking, she will have to turn her sister's wedding into a horror film. Of course, it doesn't exactly go as planned. Or maybe it does? Aida Valentine stars as Zoe, with a cast including Sam Kamerman, Greg James, Kurt Conroyd, Mia Allen, Julie Elizabeth Knell, and Holden Goyette. It looks funny and endearing, and also very self-referential about a young filmmaker making a masterpiece film any way she can. Check it out. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jessica Scalise's Zilla and Zoe,...

The thing that drew me most to Between The Trees is that title itself. It’s unique and kind of intriguing and sometimes that’s all I need to get me interested in a movie… The story starts off pretty familiar to your average movie-goer. A group of friends (this time not actually young but middle-aged men) go to a cabin in the woods-like home for a get together which means they can get away from their family for a short time and have some fun. Then some strange things start happening. In this case it’s some weird creatures firing arrows at them, seemingly wanting to kill them.

BBC’s Live World Cup Feed Cuts Out During Video Technology Discussion Of France’s Win Over Australia
The BBC are having a hard time with their live feed of the World Cup today with its post-match analysis of France’s narrow win over Australia cutting out a number of times.
The British public broadcaster will be glad that the technology failure happened after the match, so as not to remind viewers of the torrid time experienced by ITV during the 2010 World Cup where high-definition viewers missed England’s first goal against the United States thanks to a similar error.
The feed cut out three times during the coverage, which featured former Manchester United defender Phil Neville, ironically, discussing the controversial video technology Var, which is used to decide close calls during the game. Neville was in the BBC’s studio alongside former England footballer Alex Scott and ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba. It was being hosted by Mark Chapman.

Why you gotta be so mean? That's the question Taylor Swift fans are asking one reporter who told the singer she needed a shower during an on-camera interview. After performing a six-song set at the BBC’s Biggest Weekend in Swansea concert — where humidity was at 80 percent — radio DJ Greg James hinted the pop star needed to rinse off. "I think you need to have a shower now," he jokingly told Taylor, who took the brutally honest advice in stride. "I’m not offended that you said that. There’s a lot going on and none of it’s good here." While Taylor was able to laugh off the ~rude~ comment, many of her most loyal fans took to Twitter to drag the BBC reporter. #TaylorSwift has her first recorded interview after years of not doing them and she's told that she needs a shower...

Did you know that Hollywood's head girl, Kate Winslet, once had a top 10 single? Back in 2001, Kate voiced the character of Belle in the animated film Christmas Carol: The Movie, and for the role she was required to sing. The filmmakers took advantage of Kate's popularity at the time to release one of the songs, the ballad "What If?", as a single. And though it reached a very respectable number 6 in the UK charts (not to mention hitting number 1 in Ireland, Belgium, and Austria!) it seems like Kate doesn't want to be reminded of her brief foray into pop music. During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Greg James, Kate was forced to listen to a snippet of the song, which she said her husband also uses to torment her during the worst possible moments. Though Kate took it all in good humor, she did ask Greg to "turn it off!

Writer Ed Eubanks explains why he thinks Taylor Swift is a perfect example of an anti-celeb in this post originally featured on Medium. Ms. Swift is something of an antithesis of celebrity - the anti-celebrity, if you will. This is not to say that Swift has not earned bona-fide celebrity status; her 2014 release, 1989, was the year's best-selling album, and she released a string of hits from it. Her concerts sell out, her fashion choices fly off the racks; she's even popular with fellow celebrities, apparently as the one others seek out for home décor and gift-giving advice. She is truly a pop-culture phenomenon. Anti-Celebrity What makes her the anti-celebrity, then? To begin with, consider how she got where she is: from her earliest beginnings, Swift has written the lyrics and melodies to most of her own music. Her songs, while hardly of a depth that endures (no one wonders whether...
