“America’s Got Talent” viewers were shocked on Wednesday night when dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane was crowned as the $1 million winner. Fun fact: they are now the third act to prevail on “AGT” that did not receive a Golden Buzzer since its inception, following Shin Lim (Season 13) and Dustin Tavella (Season 16). In Gold Derby’s post-finale poll, we asked fans to vote for who Really deserved to win Season 18, and Adrian & Hurricane came in third place with 16% of the vote. The top spot went to singer Putri Ariani at 26%, followed by synchronized dancers Murmuration at 21%.
Putri is Simon Cowell‘s Golden Buzzer singer who went viral each week with her pitch-perfect voice and out-of-the-box song choices (including those by U2 and Elton John). The 17-year-old Indonesian artist was born blind, but she doesn’t let that stop her from realizing her dream of becoming a worldwide recording artist. Putri ultimately finished in fourth place,...

The 18th winner of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” has been crowned, and it’s fan-fave dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane. They are the show’s second animal act to prevail after Olate Dogs 11 years earlier. (See the updated winners list.) Stoica, who previously competed on “Italia’s Got Talent” and “Romania’s Got Talent,” now sums up his “AGT” victory in three words: “crazy,” “unbelievable” and “amazing.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.
Stoica reveals he never thought he would even “be in the Finals,” let alone win the entire reality TV show. It was always his “big dream” to come try out his animal act on the American stage because it’s the “biggest in the world.” The American judges are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara and the host is Terry Crews.

However, only one could win the grand prize of $1 million and a special stage show at the Luxor in Las Vegas.
After a fun night of big celebrity cameos and memorable performances — which took up the majority of the first hour of the big two-hour finale — host Terry Crews had the unenviable task of revealing the first results of the night, and slashing the Top 11 down to the Top 5.

While series judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel are still around to offer their support and critique of the acts, the power is out of their hands and rests all in America’s vote. “America’s Got Talent” continued the live shows of its 18th season on August 29 with the second round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” On Tuesday night’s show, 11 acts performed for America’s vote and only two of them will advance to “The Finals” when the results are delivered by Terry Crews on Wednesday night. Before that happens, we can reveal that Your favorite act of the night was group dance act Murmuration, as voted on by viewers in Gold Derby’s overnight poll.
Murmuration had the all-important spot of closing out Tuesday’s performance show as the final act to make their case for a spot in the finale. Following their first round audition, Howie Mandel selected them as his personal Golden Buzzer act and was enthusiastic about their follow-up performance. Simon Cowell added that they are “in a different league” compared to all the other acts that performed Tuesday night.

The live shows of “America’s Got Talent” Season 18 begin on Tuesday, August 22 with the first “Qualifiers” round. In this stage of the competition, the acts sent through by the judges during the “Auditions” phase will perform again for a chance to advance to the finals. Of the 55 acts we know advanced to this round, 21 incorporate some form of singing in their overall talent. That’s over a third of the acts still in the competition, leaving us to wonder whether singing acts have a distinct advantage when it comes to the world’s biggest talent show. In terms of winners, it’s been four years since the last singer, Kodi Lee, claimed victory.

On June 20, “America’s Got Talent” season 18 continued with the fourth installment of audition episodes. In this initial stage of the competition, each judge is given one “golden buzzer” decision to make where they can send an act straight through to the live shows. On “Auditions 4,” Howie Mandel was blown away by the hypnotic dance routine of French group Murmuration. Watch the full performance that earned Howie’s Golden Buzzer in the video above.
Ahead of their performance, Murmuration’s leader explained that the 65 members of the French dance group include family members and friends. He is the brother of the group’s creator and has brought the dancers to “AGT” with a dream of being known among the world’s greatest artists. He explained that they hope to change their individual lives by becoming professional dancers with a show in Vegas.

After consulting with Google Translate, I have a message for this week’s Golden Buzzer recipients: Félicitations!
The fourth week of America’s Got Talent Season 18 auditions introduced viewers to Murmuration, a 65-member dance troupe from France that left the judges mesmerized with its incredibly precise movements — especially for a group of its size, easily the largest ever to appear on the AGT stage. Never mind the fact that the dancers did the entire routine blindfolded.

Mitch Rossell had the “America’s Got Talent” audience and judges feeling all of the emotions during his audition.
The country singer, 35, took to the stage to sing an original song, titled “Son”, after he tragically lost his dad at age 10 in a drunk driving accident.
He told viewers how they would listen to country music together and would drive around in the car singing.
Rossell recalled, “We were so poor, but he loved me so much — he bought me a little guitar when I was a kid.
“He always wanted me to play growing up. And I was too rambunctious, was always into sports, and just didn’t take the time to learn and didn’t want to learn.”

Putri Ariani wowed the “America’s Got Talent” judges — one in particular — as her audition was shown on Tuesday’s show.
The blind 17-year-old singer from Indonesia told judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara that her dream was to become a famous singer like Whitney Houston, win a Grammy Award and hopefully attend Juilliard in New York City.

“I hope that I can win ‘America’s Got Talent’ so I can reach my dream,” Ariani told the judges.
Cowell loved the original song performance so much, he asked her to sing a second song at the piano.
After Ariani obliged and sang a stunning version of “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” without any hesitation, Mandel told her: “A lot of people don’t believe in angels and I think...

On June 6, “America’s Got Talent” season 18 continued with the second installment of audition episodes. In this initial stage of the competition, each judge is given one “golden buzzer” decision to make where they can send an act straight through to the live shows. The judge to hit the button of their own accord for the first time this season was Simon Cowell. On Tuesday night he let the golden confetti rain down on 17 year old singer and pianist Putri Ariani from Indonesia. Watch the full performance in the video above.
Ahead of her audition, Putri said she’s always dreamed of being on “AGT,” noting that her biggest challenge is that people see her as a blind person and not a musician. By coming to America for the first time from Indonesia, she hopes to dispel that myth about her by singing an original song that she wrote and plays on the piano.

“America’s Got Talent” continued season 18 on June 6 with a two-hour showcase of acts in “Auditions 2.” There are no changes to judges’ dais this summer with executive producer Simon Cowell and long-time judge Howie Mandel taking their place on the ends of the table. Heidi Klum returns as well, as does Sofia Vergara who took a break when “All-Stars” aired earlier this year. Hosting duties are entrusted to the lively Terry Crews once again.
In the audition phase of “AGT,” an act needs at least three of the four judges to give them a “yes” vote to advance to the next round. If two or more judges buzz the act, they are immediately eliminated. Each judge and Crews has one chance to hit the “golden buzzer” and send an act straight through to the live performances.
