Born and raised in Lebanon, Krystel pursued a Bachelor in Audio-Visual Arts: Cinema/TV and graduated with Distinction from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon where she was ranked 1st in Cinema.
She is known for her first short film Weeping Willow which won both Audience Choice Awards for Best Short Film at the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada (2019) and REVL Film Fest (2020) and was screened at more than 15 international film festivals. She was also nominated for Best Student Female Director at the 4th International Short Film Festival Pune, India (2019).
In 2018, she was selected as one of the Lebanese filmmakers to represent Lebanon in Talents Beirut 2018, a workshop dedicated to Young Arab Filmmakers, initiated by Berlinale Talents in collaboration with Metropolis Cinema.
It's also worth mentioning that she won the Photography Competition of La Nuit Des Musées 2018 by the Lebanese Ministry of Culture.
Since then, Krystel moved to Montreal, Canada and has been working as a Production Coordinator for several Animation & VFX Studios with international clients such as Netflix, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros.
