Any day, another superstar covers Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". Now Fun. is joining in on the ... well, fun.
The band, whose smash single "We Are Young" is currently one slot above Jepsen's catchy track on the Billboard Hot 100, performed a mellow acoustic version of the upbeat pop song during an in-studio session for Dutch radio's 3Fm.
With Nate Ruess' signature rasp, the uptempo track sounds more tortured than bubblegum. It's an interesting take on a pop song, but perhaps not as enthusiastic as Katy Perry's lip sync cover.
Still, it wasn't all fun(.) and games in Holland. (Get it?)
During the band's interview segment, DJ Giel Beelen noted that Holland had supported equal rights for gays and lesbians for roughly a decade, whereas President Obama only recently supported same-sex marriage in May.
