- Nelson Piquet was born on August 17, 1952 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- Ex-Raced for Ensign (1978 (1 GP)), McLaren (1978 (3 GPs)), Brabham (1978 (1 GP)-1982 (14 GPs)-1985), Williams (1986-1987 (15 GPs)), Lotus (1988-1989 (15 GPs)) and Benetton (1990-1991). Nelson Piquet started 204 Grands Prix, 23 Wins, 24 Pole Positions and 23 Fastest Laps, 60 Podiums, 485.5 Points and three world champion: 1981, 1983 and 1987. His second Championship in 1983, Piquet became the first F1 titleist to win using a turbo engine.
