To say that Contessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine is something of a shady figure would be quite the understatement, and while the character has yet to make her mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a meaningful way, she's had her fingers in numerous pies in the comics for years.
Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is expected to form the team in the upcoming Thunderbolts* movie, but it seems she may also be fronting another shadowy organization.
Possible spoilers follow.
According to The Cosmic Circus, Val's Oxe Group (or O.X.E.) will factor into the movie. How big a role this organization will play remains to be seen, but it could have major implication for the winder MCU going forward.
In the comics, Oxe is described as the largest holding company in the World, and has ties to the secret Kratos Club, "a group of industrial multimillionaires whose goal is to...

The Fallout game series was one of the pioneers of GenX and Millennial storytelling.
When creators Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky created a post-apocalyptic vision of human civilization gone awry (but never one to lose its sense of humor), the open world narrative eschewed labels of Good and Evil.
The Fallout universe was made of multiple factions, each one selfish, every character a survivalist in their own way.
These political and social plots explored the diversity of human thinking, teaching us concepts of anarchy that were foreign to even 1990s American cinema.
Now that the Fallout series on Prime based on the Bethesda game has debuted, it has the nearly impossible task of trying to humanize a game that was all but designed to escape humanity.
The show is a big hit and most likely the best video game to TV show adaptation we will ever see, thanks to the clever mind of Jonathan Nolan.

Did Moldaver Die in the Fallout Series on Prime?
Moldaver may not have been the hero or villain we always thought her to be, but what fans find interesting about her character is how she has been alive for over 200 years.

Well, even though the series hasn't fully explained this to its fans yet, the Moldaver actor Sarita Choudhury seemingly teases that this would be answered in Fallout season 2.

Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout has been met with rave reviews. With hardcore gamers and newcomers alike itching for a second season soon, a lot is left unanswered by the end of Season 1. Did Vault-Tec really start the nuclear war? Is Shady Sands due for a second reckoning? Why is Hank going to, what looks like, New Vegas? Is Thaddeus a Ghoul? And what was in the serum that the Chicken…ahem… “Lover” gave him?
“Why am I not dead?”- Thaddeus | Fallout
While the show did establish that years of radiation can make you a Ghoul, Thaddeus wasn’t necessarily the right fit for this criteria. Trading the snake oil salesman Maximus’ fusion core has quite clearly done a number on this Brotherhood factioneer. So, if he’s not a Ghoul, what really is he?

Prepare to see “Fallout” like you’ve never seen it before. Amazon Prime Video’s latest series may be based on the bestselling video games of the same name, but with new characters and mysteries, it’s sure to surprise even diehard fans.
Set in an alternate version of Earth, the series takes place in the same desolate world as the original games. After advances in nuclear technology following World War II led to the emergence of a retrofuturistic society, an apocalyptic nuclear exchange wiped out Earth as the people of 2077 knew it. Those who could afford it hid in their Vault-Tec vaults. As for the rest of humanity, they were forced to confront the horrors of this new world head on. Now over 200 years after that war, one young Vault Dweller will risk it all and travel to the surface.
Wondering which antihero to root for in this sci-fi dramedy?...

Jonathan Nolan’s Fallout adaptation is a success for many reasons, the least of all being its unique sense of identity separate from the games despite being true to the source material in every respect. It is this individuality of the Amazon original series that allows some room for creative liberty while Nolan and his writers’ room build a megalomaniacal post-apocalyptic world spread over the vast wasteland of America.

A Reddit fan theory that has recently been making the rounds might just shock some Fallout loyalists into a state of awe for its M. Night Shyamalan-esque twist waiting in the wings of the series’ Season 2.

[Warning: The following story contains spoilers about Season 1 of “Fallout.”]
Aaron Moten was not exactly familiar with “Fallout,” the game, when “Fallout,” the TV show, came to him. “I think if I had seen a poster, if I had seen a photograph of the T-60 — the big power armor suit — I would’ve recognized it to be ‘Fallout,’ but yeah, totally new to me,” he tells Gold Derby (watch the exclusive video interview above). “The world, the deep dive, if you will.”
The actor did a deep dive into gamers and Twitch streamers to prep for his audition, but after landing the part of Maximus, he made a conscious choice not to play the game. “My job as an actor always feels like bringing a human element to something. Marvel Studios, led by Kevin Feige, has been relatively quiet lately. But at CinemaCon 2024, they made a big splash by revealing several minutes of brand-new footage from one of their upcoming big-budget films. Not content to just tease the audience with Deadpool & Wolverine clips, Feige introduced Anthony Mackie to CinemaCon attendees to offer a sneak peek at Captain America: Brave New World.
Subsequently, Mackie, 45, took the stage to unveil the first look at the forthcoming movie directed by Julius Onah. Feige claimed the movie would be more “grounded” than the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

Dystopian narratives often showcase the most unlikely mash-ups of differing sects, as the fall of civilization calls for unusual measures to be implemented. In the Fallout universe, the Brotherhood of Steel is such an intriguing faction that exists as a technocratic military organization that is founded on a theological belief system. The more interesting aspect of the Brotherhood is that its religious roots are based not on veneration of divinity but rather on worshipping the technology of the pre-war era. Guided by a strict hierarchy maintaining order and regulations, the Brotherhood has self-serving motives, which posits them beyond the binary of good and evil.
In the first season of Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV series, the Brotherhood of Steel makes their presence felt by playing a key role in the central plotline, and by the end, through a chain of events, the organization ultimately gains the key to the future...

When The Last of Us debuted early in 2023, I began my rave review by saying, “Among the many compliments I can give HBO’s The Last of Us is that it eventually made me forget that it’s based on a video game.” Some gamers took this as both a backhanded compliment for the show and a blanket dismissal of the artistry of video games. But the point I argued then, and would argue now, is that the demands of an interactive game are fundamentally different from the demands of...

Actor Sam Elliott is regarded as one of the most talented actors in the industry who is also known for his full mustache and deep & sonorous voice. The actor appeared in the Western drama miniseries 1883 created by Taylor Sheridan. The miniseries serves as the first of several prequels of Sheridan’s Yellowstone and goes into detail of how Duttons came to own the land which is now known as Yellowstone Ranch.
The ten-episode long limited series was released in December 2021 and to introduce the prequel to the audience of Yellowstone viewers, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill appeared on Yellowstone. Marvel Studios has added screenwriter Matthew Orton to the production of “Captain America: Brave New World,” ahead of the superhero sequel’s plans for additional photography sometime in the spring.
The Walt Disney Company announced a series of delays to its theatrical release slate shortly after the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Along with “Deadpool 3,” “Thunderbolts” and “Blade,” “Brave New World” was among the group of Marvel productions impacted, moving from a July 26, 2024 date to Feb. 14, 2025. That’s almost seven more months for the studio to work on the fourth “Captain America” film, which had already completed principal photography prior to the actors strike. Reshoots are a commonplace practice for blockbuster tentpoles, particularly Marvel productions.
Orton’s previous credits include the World War II thriller “Operation Finale” and TV work on “Devil’s Peak” and Marvel’s Disney+ series “Moon Knight.” Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman have screenplay credits...

"Captain America 4" now has a new name. Originally titled "Captain America: New World Order," the movie is now "Captain America: Brave New World." Whether the new movie will pay tribute to Aldous Huxley's classic 1932 sci-fi novel "Brave New World" remains to be seen, and reps for Disney did not respond to Popsugar's request for comment about the change.
Anthony Mackie, who stars as hero Sam Wilson, announced the news on his Instagram on June 6. "When Harrison Ford tells you how kicking ass should look, you listen!" he wrote in the caption. "LoL… Thanks for the on set wisdom and laughs my friend! Can't wait to do it again… Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World in theaters May 3, 2024." However, shortly after Mackie shared that post, Marvel pushed back the film's release by two months.

Los Angeles, March 28 (Ians) Hollywood actress Liv Tyler is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 16 years after her last appearance.
She will appear in 2024’s ‘Captain America: New World Order’ reprising her role from 2008’s ‘The Incredible Hulk’ as scientist Betty Ross, the daughter of General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, reports ‘Variety’.
That role was originated by the late William Hurt, who reappeared several times for Marvel Studios, starting with 2016’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’, in which Ross had become Secretary of State. Harrison Ford is stepping into the role of Thaddeus Ross for ‘New World Order’, in which the character has become President of the United States.
‘Variety’ further states that in ‘The Incredible Hulk’, Tyler’s Betty Ross was the love interest for Edward Norton’s Bruce Banner; after Norton was replaced by Mark Ruffalo, Tyler’s character was mentioned in passing, but the actor had not returned in the role.

Liv Tyler is set to rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe 15 years after starring in Louis Leterrier's "The Incredible Hulk," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The "Lord of the Rings" star isn't pulling double duty with a new character, but will actually be reprising her role as scientist Betty Ross in the upcoming film "Captain America: New World Order," per the outlet.
The inclusion of Tyler's Betty all but officially brings the once-neglected 2008 Hulk film back into Marvel canon, as she joins Tim Roth's Abomination on the list of characters from the film who have made a comeback despite the fact that the film featured an entirely different actor playing Bruce Banner.
Though the McU's Betty hasn't been seen in live-action in years, an animated alternate timeline version of the character (voiced by Stephanie Panisello) appeared in the animated "What If...?" series in 2021. She's also related to a key...

Florence Pugh stars as a nurse called in to verify a miracle in Sebastián Lelio’s powerful story set in 19th-century Ireland
“This is the beginning,” says the voice of Niamh Algar, “of a film called The Wonder.” As Matthew Herbert’s haunting seascape of a score swoops, clangs and swirls, we see a film set – scaffolded buildings within a vast studio, much like the opening of Pedro Almodóvar’s recent short film The Human Voice. Ace cinematographer Ari Wegner’s camera slowly ventures into one of these sets to rest upon the face of Florence Pugh, as Algar’s hypnotic narration continues, telling us: “The people you are about to meet, the characters, believe in their story with complete devotion.”
It’s 1862 and we’re on a boat. A decade after the great famine, English nurse Elizabeth “Lib” Wright is travelling to a village in the Irish midlands to...

We have confirmed that tracking service Nrg is eyeing a 175 million start for Disney/Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. That total would give it the second-best opening of 2022 after Disney/Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which debuted to 187.4M. Last year’s Marvel sequel, Spider-Man: No Way Home, owns the biggest domestic opening of the pandemic at 260M, and second best ever in the history of box office.
The sequel to the 1.3 billion-grossing Black Panther is a reset to the franchise following the death of that pic’s lead star Chadwick Boseman. Everyone coming out of San Diego Comic-Con after catching the trailer for the first time is wondering who’ll wear the suit as the new Black Panther.

Yesteryear’s ‘Indiana Jones’ Harrison Ford is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The legendary actor will play the role of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, for 2024’s ‘Captain America: New World Order’ starring Anthony Mackie, reports ‘Variety’.
The fourth ‘Captain America’ movie follows the events of the 2021 Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ (Faws).
It does not appear, however, that Ford is set to star in ‘Thunderbolts’, Marvel’s anti-hero team-up film that is scheduled immediately to follow the fourth ‘Captain America’.
Hurt first played Thaddeus Ross in Marvel Studios’ second feature film ever, 2008’s ‘The Incredible Hulk’, as a U.S. Army general who is instrumental in transforming scientist Bruce Banner (then played by Edward Norton) into the Hulk; Ross then spends the rest of the movie hunting for Banner.

After weeks of speculation, it’s been confirmed that Harrison Ford will play General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ford is replacing William Hurt, who played the iconic character from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk to 2021’s Black Widow. Sadly, Hurt died of prostate cancer on March 13, 2022. He was 72. Ford will star in Captain America: New World Order opposite Anthony Mackie, Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, and Carl Lumbly. The star-spangled sequel is the only confirmed film for Ford, though it’s presumed he’ll star in Marvel’s Thunderbolts too.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier scribe Malcolm Spellman wrote the script for Captain America: New World Order with Dalan Musson. The anticipated sequel marks Mackie’s big-screen debut as Captain America after Sam Wilson assumed the mantle in the Disney+ series.
