One thing that plagued the Arrowverse throughout its entirety was the dip in quality in most of its entries, especially in the latter seasons. This problem was apparent in its biggest attractions, Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, which despite starting out on a high note and growing to immense popularity, lost their spark during the latter half of their run.
But it was quite the opposite for Legends of Tomorrow, which often gets overlooked when it comes to CW DC shows, and interestingly, the show was originally planned to be just an Atom spin-off.

Superman may be colloquially known as "The Big Blue Boy Scout," but sometimes, he can be straight up villainous. Sure, he's saved Metropolis (and the world) more times than any individual can count, however, that doesn't excuse his moments of cruelty and authoritarian-brand of justice.
The most interesting aspect of Superman as a character derives from his immortality on Earth. Short of using Kryptonite, our measly human-made weapons never account for much damage against the Man of Steel. The only thing stopping Clark Kent/Superman from taking over the world or causing serious harm is his sense of righteousness.
While Supes, for the most part, doesn't allow his ego or greed to corrupt him, he's certainly made some questionable decisions across his nearly-90 year history. As we prepare for the cinematic return of Superman with James Gunn's "Superman: Legacy," let's remind ourselves that even our most morally straight hero falters.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox stands tall as the greatest animated Dcau film. The movie features a dynamic storyline with three-dimensional characters and outstanding voice actors. Besides the rich narrative and well-written characters, the voice cast of the film has done a fantastic job. At the same time, there is quite an interesting story behind the casting of the role of Superman.
A still from Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
In the animated series, Clark Kent was voiced by Tim Daly, the actor always the right choice to voice the character. His voice radiated warmth, determination, and passion, which is necessary to play the iconic DC superhero. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, he could not voice the superhero for this movie. Instead, his son did the work, and surprisingly, very few fans noticed the difference.

Brandon Routh’s Superman was kind of forgettable as the movie failed to make a box-office splash despite the fairly well-received critical praise. The Bryan Singer-directed movie was pushed into oblivion after the first installment, Superman Returns, was released in 2006.
Brandon Routh in Superman ReturnsHowever, Routh’s Superman had so much potential to grow. The Tomatometer score of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes has been the advocate of the prowess of the movie. Still, superhero movies must get the desired numbers at the box office to have room for sequels, and Routh’s Superman Returns failed to meet that criteria. But one scene from the movie seems to have rekindled the essence of the flick among fans.

Ick is coming our way from Interstellar Entertainment and producer Steven Schneider. The film aims to “evoke the timeless creature features of the 1980s with an ambitious arsenal of scares and comedy.

DC’s latest movie, ‘The Flash,’ was released last month after nine long years of development hell. Although the movie ultimately turned out to be one of the worst box-office failures in the history of this genre, it still got more-or-less decent reviews from fans and more mixed reviews from critics, who praised action sequences and performances but criticized visual effects, and the third act.
Still, the Ezra Miller-starring movie is one of the most unique DC movies to date since it presented itself as some sort of DC’s ‘No Way Home,’ and it featured a ton of cameos, not only from Dceu but from the entire DC Multiverse in general. Although bringing back Christopher Reeve’s Superman via computer-generated imagery sparked controversies, one other Superman that showed up in the movie was Nicolas Cage’s incarnation of the character from a movie that never happened.

Author and artist of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels, Bryan Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski will serve as showrunners, writers, and executive producers on the animated series with Edgar Wright attached to executive produce. As fans know, Wright co-wrote, directed and produced the 2010 film led by Michael Cera, who will erive his titular role. Award-winning animation house Science Saru serves as animation studio with executive producer Eunyoung Choi and director Abel Gongora. “We’re getting the band back together! "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" remains one of the best video game adjacent movies ever, one that captures the aesthetic and the essence of leveling up and defeating bosses, all while also being, along with "Speed Racer" and "Alita: Battle Angel," one of the best live-action anime movies, even though this one is not based on an anime.
Edgar Wright's second most underrated film (after "The World's End") exudes style, is presented through a very specific lens, and if you get on its wavelength, it results in a phenomenal cartoony experience and a great adaptation of the comic series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. And yet, as well as the film captures the anime aesthetic, there are things that just don't quite work in live-action. It is great news, then, that this story is finally making its way to the medium it was always meant to be told in — anime.

It’s difficult to believe in this era of incessant superhero films, but there was a span of 19 years between the last Christopher Reeve Superman film and the next Superman film, 2006’s Superman Returns. The movie served as an unofficial sequel to “Superman II” and, like the first film, featured a newcomer in the dual role of Clark Kent and Superman: Brandon Routh. The similarity of the situations wasn’t lost on Routh, who told us that he spent plenty of time watching Reeve’s movies — and even his audition reels — before shooting began on Superman Returns. This article contains spoilers for Quantum Leap episode 14.
When Quantum Leap cast Brandon Routh to play Caitlin Bassett’s father, Xo Alexander Augustine, in episode 14 “S.O.S.,” the show selected a dead ringer for Captain Addison Augustine’s dad. Routh looks like an Augustine as well as a distant relative of the late Christopher Reeve, which is fitting as he is the only actor to play two DC superheroes (Superman and The Atom) and to have attended high school with Aquaman (Jason Mamoa).
In “S.O.S.,” the battleship housed at the USS Iowa Museum on the L.A. waterfront serves as the set for an active naval vessel engaged in war games on the East China Sea in the year 1989. Quantum Leap’s military episode doesn’t just look the part, it gets it right.

"Superman Returns" might not be considered the best Superman movie, but in hindsight it really wasn't bad. Its reverence for Richard Donner's 1978 "Superman" film gave it some real charm, which, after two decades of the gritty reboot trend, seems like a much more welcome prospect now than perhaps it did back in 2006. But while it made a decent 391 million, it wasn't enough for Warner Bros. to push ahead with any sequels.
Director Bryan Singer did admit years later that his movie was perhaps overly "nostalgic and romantic." These days Singer's reputation has been pretty much decimated after some truly horrific allegations of sexual assault came to light, but back in the early-aughts he was riding high, having scored hits with "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United." And when he wasn't churning out popular superhero blockbusters, he was also helping out with the acclaimed TV series "House," on which he served...

There are some roles that, as an actor, have to be more daunting than others. Particularly when you're talking about iconic characters that have already been pretty much perfected, like Sean Connery as James Bond, as an example. Sure, others can find some success, but sometimes it's just a shadow a little too big to step out from. That was pretty much always going to be the case for Brandon Routh when he tried to follow in the footsteps of Christopher Reeve as Superman with his performance in 2006's "Superman Returns."
Routh was very much aware of this challenge, but eager to take it on anyway. And when you put on that cape, working with a director in Bryan Singer who, at the time, was one of the hottest names in superhero cinema coming off the success of "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United," at least part of you has...
