Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire premiered on March 29, 2024, as the most recent installment in the MonsterVerse franchise. The movie received mixed reviews from critics and is one of the installments with the lowest score, but fans are amazed as things stand now, and the box office earnings seem to confirm that. The movie surpassed expectations for its opening day and previews, and now that the first weekend is over, it has earned an amazing $194 million, landing the best opening weekend of the year, as well as breaking into the top ten list of highest-grossing movies after just one weekend.
The movie has just started its theatrical run, and to be frank, it is projected to become a box office hit. With the success of the movie, the MonsterVerse franchise also managed to hit past the $2-billion mark, becoming one of the most lucrative franchises in movie history.

As confirmed by Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show on March 14, the four-time Olympic gold medalist is departing the show alongside fellow castmates Kandi Burruss and Marlo Hampton. “How do you feel about Kandi, Sanya, and Marlo leaving the show?” Cohen asked his guest, Mariah Smith, during the episode, casually revealing the news to his listeners. Richards-Ross, who welcomed her second child with husband Aaron Ross in December, hasn’t yet addressed her exit publicly. The former track-and-field athlete joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in Season 14 and continued to make appearances in Season 15. Marlo Hampton is leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta amid the Season 16 cast shakeup. The reality TV personality was a main cast member (aka Peach Holder) for two seasons.
“My contract with Real Housewives of Atlanta ended when season 15 wrapped,” Hampton said in a statement to People. “This break from Rhoa is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future, and not reliving my past.”
Although Hampton was just promoted to a full-time housewife in Season 14, the Bravo star has been associated with the show since Season 4, as a “friend of” former cast member Nene Leakes.
“My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity!” she added. “I am thankful for this amazing platform of Housewives,...

Maya Hawke and Jon Hamm have joined Christoph Waltz in the starry cast for Stephen Frears’ upcoming drama, Wilder & Me.
Stephen Frears has managed to assemble quite a formidable cast for his upcoming drama, Wilder & Me, based on Jonathan Coe’s novel Mr Wilder And Me.
Christoph Waltz has long been cast in one of the title roles as the legendary director Billy Wilder, who wrote and directed some of America’s all-time great films across his long career – Double Indemnity, The Lost Weekend, Sunset Boulevard, Some Like It Hot, The Apartment... we could go on, but there’s a news post we ought to be getting on with.
Wilder & Me’s other major role, though, has gone to Maya Hawke, who’ll play the young composer Calista (essentially the ‘Me’ of the title). The film will be set during the latter stages of Wilder’s career – specifically in late 1970s Greece,...

Shanola Hampton doesn’t think audiences are really prepared for what’s about to go down in the Found season finale.
The NBC series wraps its first season on Tuesday with an episode that the star told Deadline left her “in awe.”
After the penultimate episode, when Hampton’s Gabi Moseley finally revealed to her M&a colleague Dhan [Karan Oberoi] that she’d not only been been holding her kidnapper Sir [Mark-Paul Gosselaar] captive in her basement but using him to help solve the firm’s missing persons cases, her carefully kept secret seems like it’s close to unraveling. According to Hampton, the final episode will feature a moment between Gabi and the rest of the M&a crew that is so raw, she had a visceral reaction to filming the scene.
“By the end of it, Gabi ends up in the fetal position on the ground,” she said.

Some of the best episodes of TV were written before the writer was even hired. The staff that writes great television like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" usually starts out by writing a spec script — in plain English, they script an original episode of the series within the framework laid out by the series creator and the writers. Some of the most memorable moments of the entire show have originated this way, including Giles getting thrown out of the Watchers' council. The spec script that got David Fury hired as the main writer of the season 3 episode "Helpless." However, not everything from his initial pitch made its way into the episode.

NBC sees a bright future for Found and The Irrational.
TV Fanatic can confirm that both series have been renewed following decent ratings on the network.
While other networks have buckled under the pressure without much original programming this season due to the strikes, NBC's decision to hold these two dramas for the fall is paying off... big time.
The Irrational kicked off in September and stars Jesse L. Martin (The Flash) as Professor Alec Mercer, who uses his skills in human behavior to help cops solve cases.
They're not your typical cases, which has helped the series stand out in a sea of procedurals.
The cast includes Maahra Hill as Alec's ex-wife Marisa, Travina Springer as his sister Kylie and Molly Kunz, and Arash DeMaxi as his grad student assistants Phoebe and Rizwan.

NBC is sticking with Found and The Irrational.
The network has renewed both first-year dramas — one of just a handful of original scripted series to air on a broadcast network this fall — for second seasons. Both shows were developed off-cycle at NBC and thus had a full complement of episodes in the can before strikes by writers and actors led to dozens of productions shutting down in the summer and early fall.
The two series have also performed solidly for NBC: The Irrational, starring Jesse L. Martin, is averaging 6.34 million viewers per episode after seven days of linear viewing, while the Shanola Hampton-led Found clocks in at 5.18 million viewers (not including streaming for either show). They are also the top two broadcast series of the season so far among Black viewers, with Found ranking first.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Found Episode 7, “Missing While Indigenous.”] “Pure fear.” That’s what Gabi is feeling at the end of the latest episode of Found, according to Shanola Hampton. “Missing While Indigenous” not only sees Gabi return to the farmhouse where Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) held her, but it also ends with the last thing she wants to hear: Trent (Brett Dalton) tells her there’s a credible sighting of her kidnapper near her house. Could he have gotten out of the chains in her basement? Below, Hampton takes us inside this episode, talks working with Gosselaar on their characters’ complicated dynamic, discusses Gabi’s key relationships, and teases what’s next. The episode ends with Trent telling Gabi that there’s a credible sighting of Sir near her house after Sir had taken the camera in the basement offline. What’s going through her head at that moment? What’s she most worried about?...

The crackling tension between Gabi (played by Shanola Hampton) and her kidnapper-turned-captive Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) on the NBC drama Found is undeniable. But it’s that intense chemistry which makes their prickly dynamic difficult to define.
“It’s freaky, right? It’s weird,” Shanola Hampton tells TVLine of Sir and Gabi’s relationship. “It started by people assuming that this was going to be some sort of love story, twisted thing. Then you realize, ‘Wait a minute, no. He sees her more as a daughter but also wants to save her? And does he really care?’”

Christopher Hampton, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of “The Father” and “Dangerous Liaisons,” is set to adapt Walter Isaacson’s acclaimed biography “Leonardo Da Vinci” for Universal Pictures.
Universal Pictures had fiercely chased rights to the hot literary property six years ago, and was outbid by Paramount, which developed the project with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way. Now that Universal has finally secured those rights, it has tapped Hampton to pen the adaptation, which seems to be the perfect material for the Oscar winning writer whose movies typically lure A-list talent.
Hampton’s screenplays include “Atonement,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” “A Dangerous Method” and more recently Florian Zeller’s “The Father,” which won two Oscars, for best adapted screenplay and actor (for Anthony Hopkins). Hampton has also been celebrated for his plays and musicals that have garnered two Tony Awards, an Olivier Award, and the New York Theatre Critics Circle Award.

Months before Found made good on NBC’s decision to move it from a midseason to fall premiere, its creator Nkechi Okoro Carroll and star/producer Shanola Hampton, best known for Shameless, could hardly contain their enthusiasm. “I knew I wanted to do in my next project something that had meaning or purpose,” the Shameless star revealed during a set visit in Atlanta late February.
Since its Oct. 3 premiere on the heels of The Irrational — another NBC procedural starring Jesse L. Martin as celebrated behavioral science professor Alec Mercer, who helps solve high-stakes cases with his expertise in psychology, body language and other areas — Found has drawn millions of fans, reportedly becoming “Peacock’s best launch to date.” Hampton’s Gabi Mosley is a D.C.-based recovery specialist and master crisis manager leading a diverse team — most of whom, like her, were kidnapped — as they find missing people from marginalized groups.

“East New York” star Ezra Knight guest stars on Tuesday night’s “Found” as a doorman who seeks out Gabi’s (Shanola Hampton) help for a missing man he thinks the police wouldn’t bother to search for.
In this exclusive clip, which you can watch above, Cliff (Knight) shares a video of his missing friend Reggie with Gabi. When she asks why he hasn’t reported the disappearance to the authorities, he says he came to her “because I know you care for everyone.”
Says Cliff, “I’m just not confident that police would care about a missing gay widower in his 70s. And it’s only been two days and my only real evidence is the absence of our morning conversations.” He adds that the residents of his building mostly don’t acknowledge him but that, “Reggie sees me. He’s a good person.”

This Found review contains spoilers.
Let’s be honest, there is an abundance of crime dramas right now and it’s beginning to get harder and harder to get creative with the genre. NBC alone is home to both Chicago Wednesdays and Law & Order Thursdays, but this fall season, they’re adding a new series to the lineup on Tuesday nights and it’s a definite standout.
Led by Shanola Hampton, who produces and stars as public relations specialist Gabi Mosely, Found puts the focus on missing people of color, who are often never given the spotlight they deserve in the media and our society until they are, unfortunately, forgotten. With more than 600,000 people reported missing in the United States any given year, this show reminds us that each one is a human being with a story and loved ones. Considering all of the horrific things we see on the news daily,...

Back in January, Fox premiered Alert: Missing Persons Unit, a generic missing-person-of-the-week procedural with a ludicrous serialized plot grafted on top. It was inept and apparently successful enough to be renewed for a second season.
Like Alert: Missing Persons Unit, NBC’s new drama Found is a generic missing-person-of-the-week procedural with a ludicrous serialized plot grafted on top.
Both shows struggle to keep their weekly elements consistently interesting, and neither can figure out how to deliver exposition without having characters recite pieces of their biographies to other members of their crime-solving teams. And those serialized plots? So darned ludicrous.
Unlike Alert: Missing Persons Unit, however, Found is generally… Well, it isn’t good, but it has some underlying points that it wants to make about contemporary law enforcement, even if it rarely sticks with those points long enough to say anything persuasive. It has some characters who are complicated, despite the rampaging exposition.

What happens when the kidnapped becomes the kidnapper? That’s now the question around NBC’s “Found,” which debuts on Tuesday on NBC. Originally, the logline for the Shanola Hampton-led drama series read: “Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely — who was once herself one of those forgotten ones — and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.”
On Sept. 12, that second part of that description changed to: “Gabi was once herself one of those forgotten ones, and is still hiding a chilling secret of her own – she has found her kidnapper, Sir, (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), and uses his twisted expertise to help solve their cases.”
Additionally, the trailers share Gabi’s secret and the fact that Sir is desperate to get out. Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll...
