Characters from Twenty Twelve and W1A will reportedly return in a spin-off centred around FIFA. Here are the details.
Sarah Parish, who played Anna Rampton in the original comedy series W1A, has revealed on That Gaby Roslin Podcast that a spin-off show based on the FIFA international football association. was in the works. She also revealed that W1A co-star Hugh Bonneville would be reprising his role.
Though Parish said the show was being written according to the British Comedy Guide, she said she would not be in it, but that she suspected Hynes would return. There has been no official confirmation from the BBC, but it would fit with the previous series precedent of writing a comedy about a real forthcoming event, in this case the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

It was merely two years ago that Hallmark fans everywhere discovered the true magic of Christmas when three Hallmark Hunks tapped into their brotherhood for Three Wise Men and a Baby.
A play on Three Men and a Baby, Paul Campbell & Kimberley Sustad created a fun, family Christmas movie starring Campell, Tyler Hynes, and Andrew Walker and brought the theatrical film’s Margaret Colin along for the ride.
The result was pure joy, with a story packed with holiday sentiment, family frustrations, and great love.
Campbell & Sustad and Russell Hainline write the script for the sequel, Three Wiser Men and a Boy, and all four cast members mentioned above are on board, as well.
It’s an early Christmas gift for us all!
What does it mean to be a Hallmark hunk, anyway?
It’s not about looks, although it sure helps that this talented trio is easy on the eyes.

While the whole world seems to be going crazy over Tay-Tay, she is getting noticed by actors, with Hynes singing a particular Swift lyric while working on the set. Which song has caught the actor’s attention so much that it became an interesting issue?

Mainly because the other gang is played by a who’s who (then and now) of British comedy: Martin Freeman, Reece Shearsmith, Tamsin Greig, Spaced mainstay Julia Deakin, Matt Lucas and, at the vanguard, Pegg’s Spaced co-creator, Jessica Hynes. While Hallmark Hunks Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker have starred in a movie, Three Wise Men And A Baby, together. In addition, they have also done cameos in Hallmark movies. Now, how does a romcom with a romantic rivalry for one lady’s heart, where they play the two guys sound?

Michel Gondry is about to make a lot of people happy, teaming with Pharrell Williams, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and recent Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph for Atlantis, a new film that is partly inspired by Williams’ upbringing.
While no plot details have been unveiled, according to Deadline, Atlantis is “a coming-of-age musical, set in 1977 Virginia Beach, which draws inspiration from Williams’ childhood growing up in the city’s Atlantis Apartments.” In addition to Gondry signed on as director, screenwriters on board are Toy Story 4’s Martin Hynes and Tick, Tick…Boom’s Steven Levenson.
Atlantis was revealed back in 2017. While Hynes was attached even as far back as then, originally Michael Mayer – who won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for Spring Awakening – was set to direct.

The Kansas City Chiefs new post-season promotional trailer spoofs Hallmark rom-coms — but it sneaks in multiple references to the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance.
The trailer, called “Falling for Football,” follows a football fan (Hallmark leading man Tyler Hynes) who meets cute with fellow Hallmark mainstay Janel Parrish.
The set-up follows a typical rom-com plot. Parrish, having been left at the altar by a football-loving fiance, has grown to hate the sport. But she falls for a guy who works in a Chiefs merchandise shop, a job he initially keeps secret, until the big reveal. “You’re not just a fan, it’s your livelihood!” she cries, giving Hynes an ultimatum. “It’s the Chiefs or me!” she demands. “I hate football!”
But thanks to some wise advise from Donna Kelce (the mom of a certain Chiefs tight end who dates a pop superstar), Parrish comes around and finds love with Hynes.

The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing to lean into romance. The team, which has made more headlines than ever this season thanks to tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift, is celebrating the playoffs season with a whole new campaign titled ‘Tis the Preseason. (Is that a nod to Swift’s “‘Tis the Damn Season”? You be the judge.)
Part of that campaign is a new trailer for a movie titled “Falling for Football.” A spoof on all the cliches of a made-for-tv movie, while celebrating the Chiefs Kingdom, the video stars Hallmark Channel staples Tyler Hynes and Janel Parrish; her character hates the postseason after being left at the altar for a playoff game, while he works at the Chiefs’ merchandise store. First, he hides his love for football from her, but when she finds out, she’s torn on what to do.
So, she turns to Donna Kelce,...

Birth/Rebirth (Laura Moss)
Likely a film that some will find underwhelming due to its lowkey, mostly affectless style, it’s a rather impressive feat of narrative economy that manages to separate itself from the seemingly endless indie horror crop. Directed by Laura Moss, there’s the sense they either don’t have much of a feel for the genre or rather harbors a general disdain for the shorthands it’s fallen into (hopefully they don’t get absorbed into bad studio product soon), the film’s tendencies refreshingly feel free of the trappings of calling-card cinema. – Ethan V. Is there anything better than that walk down memory lane, wondering what if and what could have been?
This holiday treasure weaves a tale of two inseparable friends whose festive homecoming sparks a life-altering revelation, reminiscent of the heartwarming escapades in cult classics like Romi & Michelle's High School Reunion and Sixteen Candles.
Hallmark's ability to capture the holiday spirit is indisputable, but with Never Been Chris'd, they've tapped into the very essence of festive nostalgia and the enduring power of friendship.
Recent years have seen this exploration enhanced, which is a delightful pivot underscoring the timeless theme that friends are the family we choose.
Bringing friendship to the forefront of Hallmark's programming has opened new storytelling avenues that never cease to amaze.
Janel Parrish and Pascal Lamothe-Kipnes star in this instant classic as Naomi and Liz, who couldn't be closer if they'd been twin sisters.

Winning has a long, successful string of Hallmark movies on his resume, but charming rom-coms weren't his first foray into directing.

Much like the number of days with good air quality in New York City this summer, the number of films available as 70mm prints isn’t as high as perhaps it should be. This presents a challenge to the Museum of the Moving Image and its annual See It Big film series. But this year, the beloved Queens museum is capitalizing on interest in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” by including a print of “Inception” that allows viewers to go deeper into the film’s picture quality.
At least that’s the theory.
Associate Curator of Film Edo Choi breaks 70mm prints into two categories: native prints shot on 65mm film (the extra 5mm is used for the soundtrack) and “blow-ups” that expand the image from a 35mm print onto larger film stock. The “Inception” print the museum is showing is a little bit of both.

This Sunday, Fatal Attraction returns.
The famed IP is getting the series treatment, which allows for a much deeper dive into the story and its characters.
Like you, we have IP refreshing and reboot fatigue, but we've seen Fatal Attraction Season 1 in its entirety and believe that further exploration has merits.
Dan Gallagher (Joshua Jackson) is an attorney on the cusp of a significant promotion. He's happily married to Beth (Amanda Peet), and the couple has a lovely daughter, Ellen.
But as bright as Dan's life seems on the outside, he's riddled with self-doubt when an opportunity slips through his fingers, and he begins looking outside of his family for validation.
Dan finds that validation in Alex Forrest (Lizzy Caplan), a coworker with an understanding of his professional pressures because she faces the same.
Dan and Alex have a one-weekend affair that scratches an itch for both of them. Dan feels seen,...

A curious Anne Archer lifts the lid off of a boiling pot only to discover the body of her young daughter’s mangled and bloated bunny. It’s a film scene that still echoes in the minds of cinephiles and physiological thriller enthusiasts alike. However, unlike the 1987 film starring Archer, Michael Douglas and the incomparable Glenn Close, Paramount+’s new series, “Fatal Attraction,” is void of boiled mammals. What it does have is a more intricately fleshed-out narrative of a pompous and ambitious district attorney Dan Gallagher (Joshua Jackson), whose tawdry affair with a young woman, Alexandra Forrest (Lizzy Caplan), quickly spirals out of his control.
“Dirty John” creator Alexandra Cunningham and writer Kevin J. Hynes’ series opens in the present day in Los Angeles, with a frazzled and bearded Dan pleading his case for parole. He’s served 15 years for killing Alex, a crime he attests to, before being granted his freedom.

But, after a casual fling with a sultry book editor named Alex, everything changes. Jilted by Dan, Alex becomes unstable, her behavior escalating from aggressive pursuit to obsessive stalking. Dan realizes that his main problem is not hiding his affair, but rather saving himself and his family.

On March 4, 2020, guitarist Chad Taylor stood on a beach outside of the Hard Rock Hotel in the Dominican Republic. He fired up a Cuban cigar and stared out at the vast ocean. After years of bitter infighting and nasty legal battles, his band Live — best remembered for their Nineties hits “Lightning Crashes” and “I Alone” — was finally reunited and back on the road. Live had just wrapped up a successful co-headlining tour with Bush, there was talk of cutting a new album, and they were in the Caribbean to play a lucrative private gig.
