Singer Sukhbir Singh is back with a new track is titled Nachdi. A highlight of the song is its music video features six dancers from six different countries. The track released on Friday across television, radio and digital platforms.
Along with Sukhbir's vocals, Nachdi has a rap breakdown by singer and songwriter Arjun.
"For most of my songs and videos, I usually say it was hard work but for this track, I'd say it was soul-work. The video required slick clubbing elements where I wanted to do something interesting, so I brought in six dancers from six countries -- the UK, the USA, Germany, France, Japan and Jamaica -- and let them groove in their own styles to give the video an authentic, euphoric vibe. While this was my concept and music, the idea and incorporating beats in the most authentic form made the experience come alive," says Sukhbir.

As much a character study as it is a murder mystery, “A Dark Place” is a little under-complicated in both departments. This drama (formerly shown as “Steel Country”) stars Andrew Scott as a small-town Pennsylvania man on the autism spectrum who becomes obsessed with a local child’s seemingly accidental death, ruffling feathers as he conducts his own guileless “investigation.”
One of three top-billed Irish thespians capably playing Yanks here for Brit director Simon Fellows, Scott offers a compelling turn that easily carries the film, as it must. Still, the generally well-acted and competently crafted film should have more depth and punch, given the inherently powerful themes it places center-stage. The result is diverting enough, yet ends up more a mildly offbeat time-filler than something memorable.
Donnie Devlin (Scott) is a 30-ish sanitation worker in Harburgh, Pa., spending days driving a garbage truck, and nights at home with his elderly...

I’ve got an intense trailer here for an upcoming backwoods murder mystery thriller called A Dark Place. I enjoy a good murder mystery film and this one actually looks like it could be pretty good.
When a young boy turns up dead in a sleepy Western Pennsylvania town, Donald, a local garbage truck driver, takes it upon himself to play detective. He embarks on an obsessive investigation to prove that the boy had been murdered, leading to unthinkable and harrowing consequences.
The movie stars Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Victor Frankenstein, Alice Through the Looking Glass), with a supporting cast that includes Bronagh Waugh, Denise Gough, J.D. Evermore, Griff Furst, and Sandra Ellis Lafferty.
A Dark Place was directed by Simon Fellows and it will be released on April 12th.

"You know what?! You don't know everything you think you know..." Shout Factory has released the first trailer for an indie backwoods mystery thriller titled A Dark Place, formerly titled Steel Country when it initially premiered at festivals last year. This disappearance mystery film played at the Edinburgh, Galway, and Busan Film Festivals last year, and is getting a small theatrical release this spring. When a young boy goes missing in a sleepy backwoods town, a local sanitation truck driver, Donald, plays detective, embarking on a precarious and obsessive investigation. Andrew Scott stars, with an indie cast including Bronagh Waugh, Denise Gough, J.D. Evermore, Griff Furst, and Sandra Ellis Lafferty. This actually looks solid, even if it is all a bit cliche. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Simon Fellows' A Dark Place, direct from YouTube: When a young boy turns up dead in a sleepy Western Pennsylvania town,...

After being in development for many years, one of James Cameron‘s passion projects is seemingly coming together. THR reports Christoph Waltz is in the early stages of discussion to star in the Robert Rodriguez-directed, Cameron-scripted adaptation of the manga series Alita: Battle Angel. If it goes through, Waltz would star alongside Rosa Salazar (The Maze Runner), who plays a cyborg unearthed by a scientist (Waltz) in a junk yard. She grows up to become a bounty hunter after being taken under the wing of Waltz’s scientist. Cameron is also producing with Jon Landau and co-writing with Laeta Kalogridis. Fox is currently looking at a July 2018 release.

Director: Simon Fellows.
Writer: Jayson Rothwell.
Cast: Maggie Grace, Danny Dyer and Matt King.
Interestingly, Malice in Wonderland has seen several incarnations throughout the years. In ’82, it was a short film and in ’85, it was a television series. And the musical version, featuring Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx, may not be for everyone.
To those people who can “dig it,” you will certainly love Gary Beadle ("EastEnders") who plays a very hip Felix Chester. Although his role is a very small one, his appearance is what defines this film. His charisma and charm is perfect for the role he’s placed in.
The story looks at the life of an American lost in the boroughs of London. Alice (Maggie Grace) is on the run. She’s introduced to viewers as a woman fleeing from someone in London’s subway system. After leaving one hole, she enters another — and she has...

Director Simon Fellows (Malice in Wonderland) is set to take on one of the most neglected mysteries of the 20th century with an adaptation of Alan K. Barker’s book Dyatlov Pass about an incident that should rank alongside the disappearance of the crew of the Marie Celeste.
Taking place in 1959 during the Cold War, The Dyatlov Pass Incident saw an experienced nine man expedition of ski-hikers led by Igor Dyatlov attempt to traverse a set of mountains in the Urals of Russia. The group failed to return from their trip, and were subsequently discovered by investigators with their tents seemingly having been torn open from within, barefoot in the snow with significant injuries, and yet no outward sign of struggle.
A further layer of mystery was added by subsequent government documents which suggested high levels of radiation discovered among the bodies of the crew. Soviet investigators would conclude that...

2B Pictures, the banner of Blighty’s Future Film Group, is adapting Alan K. Baker’s novel Dyatlov Pass, based on the mysterious ski incident, for the big screen.
The film will be directed by Simon Fellows (Malice in Wonderland), following the true-life events that occurred on February 1959 in the Russia’s Urals, when nine experienced cross-country skiers mysteriously died.
Andy Briggs (Ghost Town) will adapt the script on Baker’s version of the event. The hiker’s deaths have already attracted much speculations being linked to paranormal activity or a military keeping secret.
The tent had been cut open from inside and counted footprints from eight or nine people in meter-deep snow. Though there was no sign of fight, two skiers had fractured skulls, two had broken ribs, one was missing her tongue and clothing belonging to them contained high levels of radiation. However, for those of you who’ve never seen a genre flick that turns a seemingly harmless reality program into something supposedly horrifying, prepare your tender eyes for “The Task”, yet another dodgy offering from After Dark films. Helmed by direct-to-video guru Simon Fellows, the film follows a group of students as they attempt to score cash prizes by completing “terrifying missions” inside an abandoned prison. Who knows? This might be the surprise hit of the year. I doubt it, but you never can tell. Via Bloody Disgusting function getVideo() { var so = new SWFObject("http://cdn.springboard.gorillanation.com/storage/xplayer/yo033.swf", "mplayer", "590", "375", "8", "#000000"); so.addParam("wmode","transparent"); so.addParam("swliveconnect", "true"); so.addParam("allowscriptaccess", "always"); so.addParam("allowfullscreen", "true"); so.addVariable("pid", "byhw013"); so.addVariable("siteId", "243"); so.addVariable("videoId", "240319"); so.

One of the eight After Dark Originals opening on January 28 that's arriving under the radar with little to no buzz is The Task . Awareness for the film, however, has kicked in: A trailer is here for your viewing pleasure below. Directed by Simon Fellows, the film concerns a new reality show in which players complete terrifying missions within the confines of an abandoned prison, hoping to win a hefty cash prize. As six young students explore their new environment, malicious spirits make their presence known in the most gruesome ways imaginable. The contestants become unwitting pawns caught at the centre of a blood-soaked night of terror. Only one girl survives to tell the tale.

The movie trailer for the upcoming horror film from After Dark Originals called "The Task" has been released and we have it for you to view below. You can see it below the creepy international one-sheet poster and synopsis below below.
Not sure what I think about the flick so far, but I'm hoping it is better than the trailer suggests. Not a terrible concept, but one that feels a bit over done to me. I mean, didn't we kind of see this idea in one of the Halloween sequels? Maybe I'm just burnt out on all things "reality show".
The Task was written by Kenny Yakkel, directed by Simon Fellows (Malice in Wonderland, Blessed) and stars Texas Battle (Dixon), Alexandra Staden (Connie), Adam Raynor (Taylor). Enjoy.

Luc Besson teams up with actress Maggie Grace, making her the victim once more in the film "Lockout" from Europacorp and Sony Pictures Entertainment. No, the film isn't no lame drama about being locked out of your house, but rather it's about a man who's wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. He's then offered freedom only if he rescues the president's daughter out of a space prison. Guy Pearce is already on the production, playing the wronged convict trying to win back his freedom. Grace just signed on to play the president's daughter, what a surprise. "Lockout" is co-directed by James Mather and Stephen st. Leger off the script they co-wrote with Luc Besson. Grace went straight to DVD in her lead role on Simon Fellows' "Malice in Wonderland". She's already signed on to be part of "Taken 2", whenever that'll finally lift itself out of development and into production.

The actual convention floor of Comic-Con International has become famous — and notorious — for the massive, bombastic booths of Hollywood entertainment companies promoting their upcoming product. Especially these days with ever-increasing-in-size flat-screen TVs and more sophisticated and apparently increasingly bass-heavy audio equipment, walking the floor it’s impossible to not be assaulted by 50 movie trailers, full-length TV shows and other promotional videos playing all at once.
However, at the 2010 Comic-Con, my favorite spot on the convention floor — one I returned to two or three times — was the somewhat unassuming booth for After Dark Films, which hosts the annual, one-week-only, national horror movie film festival called Horrorfest. In addition to an open-air portion of the booth that included promotional giveaways and costumed horror characters, there was a separate room one could walk into to watch trailers for their 2011 films.

I don't what the hell this is, but holy crap it's trippy! Apple has debuted the official trailer for an indie film called Malice in Wonderland that is, no doubt, inspired by Lewis Carroll's classic Alice in Wonderland. This stars Maggie Grace as Alice, who you might know better as Liam Neeson's daughter in Taken. Okay, okay, I know, before you start asking me why the heck I'm even featuring this, there's a few simple reasons. First, it's so insanely wacky that I just had to share it with all of you! Second, I have quite a crush on Maggie Grace (she's 26) and she looks pretty damn good in this. If you're looking for a very weird trailer, this is it! Tim Burton and his Mad Hatter’s Futterwacken dance moves don’t have anything on this take on the classic fairytale. Directed by Simon Fellows, Malice In Wonderland stars “Lost”’s Maggie Grace as an American student in London, who, after getting hit by a black car, finds herself in a quite colorful and quite strange underworld. The film also stars Danny Dyer and Matt King of “Jekyll” and Rocknrolla fame.
Earlier today, our buddies over at Gordon and the Whale got their hands on some sweet pics from the film, and, courtesy of Magnet Releasing, we have an exclusive clip. It is quite an interesting setup and really gives you the vibe Fellows and crew are going for with this film.
Feast your eyes directly:
Tweedledee and Tweedledum as a couple of cranky, insult-spewing bouncers at a prestige nightclub? Thank you very much, sir. I’ll have some more.

With Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” poised to conquer the box office next month, it’s not surprising that certain opportunistic distributors are scheduling the release of their own Alice-inspired endeavors to coincide with Burton’s insanely surreal adaptation. Veteran direct-to-video action director Simon Fellows (“Until Death”, “7 Seconds”, “Second in Command”) takes a contemporary approach to the material with his 2009 thriller “Malice in Wonderland”, a film which borrows elements from Lewis Carroll’s classic and places them firmly into London’s seedy underbelly. Maggie Grace stars as Alice, an American law student who loses her memory after being struck by a cab driven by Whitey (Danny Dyer). In order to reclaim her identity, Alice must navigate the city’s violent underbelly, a twisted world stuffed to capacity with drug-addled losers, unstable gangsters, and an array of criminal activity. “Malice in Wonderland” made its UK DVD debut on February 8th.

Youth In Revolt (12A)
(Miguel Arteta, 2010, Us) Michael Cera, Portia Doubleday, Justin Long. 89 mins
How many more times can Michael Cera get away with his "I'm the type of guy who never gets the girl" shtick? He always gets the girl. That might offer hope to pale, skinny dweebs everywhere, but it's getting a mite predictable onscreen. So here he expands his range with the invention of a suave imaginary alter-ego, "François Dillinger", who encourages his cultured but meek virgin to be irresistibly bad and dangerous in order to get the girl (Doubleday) – which, of course, he does. As he's driven to commit increasingly ludicrous acts, the movie becomes more desperate and less romantic, but hey! It's progress.

This modernised take on the Alice in Wonderland story struggles to justify itself, says Peter Bradshaw
A wacky modern twist from screenwriter Jayson Rothwell and director Simon Fellows, on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, set in modern-day gangland Britain. Alice (Maggie Grace) is now an American billionaire's daughter who is lost in a surreal criminal underworld. Danny Dyer is Whitey, a very bizarre white rabbit: a London cabbie obsessed with punctuality. Dyer has some funny lines, and he makes the most of them, proving that he is actually a good performer, all too often marooned in endless geezer knees-ups. But otherwise it's a bit pointless and heavy-handed.

That's right gang, straight-to-dvd action director, Simon Fellows (Until Death, 7 Seconds), has left his partner in crime, Jean-Claude Van Damme, behind in favor of embarking a whole new filmmaking adventure... in Wonderland!
While this first footage we've dug up for this Maggie Grace and Danny Dyer starrer is pretty raw (the film is still in post) it does give us a good look at Malice In Wonderland's carnival-esque tone (someone's gone a little "dutch tilt" happy here) and fast paced nature. The Arctic Monkey's track works particularly well I think. It's not particularly mind-blowing but it should be a fun flick, and it's interesting to see Fellows go down this very different road.
Synopsis:
Alice is an American Law student in London. Knocked down by a black cab, she wakes with amnesia in a world that’s a million miles from home - Wonderland.

Christian Henson, who recently wrote the score for The Secret of Moonacre (available on MovieScore Media), is doing the music for Malice in Wonderland, a modern take on the classic Lewis Carroll novel taking place in the North East of England. Maggie Grace, Nathaniel Parker and Danny Dyer stars in the film which is directed by Simon Fellows (Until Death, Second in Command). Henson is also in the final stages of scoring a horror film called Triangle, directed Christopher Smith who made th 2006 cult hit Severance, also scored by Henson. Starring Melissa George, the film is set on the Atlantic Ocean where passengers on a ship experience great havoc on the open seas.

Aside from still dying to see Jcvd, I've been quite proud of Jean Claude Van Damme -- seemingly wrenching himself out of the enjoyable, but not-so-good dreck of his past. He's kept talking about moving on, but now he's skyrocketing backwards. So much for that deeper characters and respect thing.
MTV reports that Van Damme has signed on for the third installment of Universal Soldier, which has been rumored for a while. "I'm just going to do 10 days. I told them, guys bring in Dolph! They said there's no more value [to cast him]. I said, 'it will have value with me!'" That sounds like trying to cash in on Jean Claude's newly reinvigorated fame while the actor ignores his newfound goals. According to the Muscles from Brussels, Peter Hyams has signed on to be the Dp, Simon Fellows is directing, and the plot will deal with "something in the past.

Hot off the stellar buzz of “Jcvd," Jean-Claude Van Damme gave word to MTV that he’ll be back in the long-awaited, on-again, off-again “Universal Soldier 3.” And while this is cause for celebration, it’s bitter sweet - as Dolph Lundgren will not be involved. “I told them, guys bring in Dolph! They said there’s no more value [to cast him]. I said, ‘it will have value with me!’” Van Damme tells the site. One other bit of cool news is that “Timecop” director Peter Hyams will serve as director of photography for the film. “Peter Hyams just yesterday called me to say he’s going to Dp my film,” Van Damme tells MTV. “I said, ‘are you crazy? You’re going to Dp? You’re an excellent director.’” Helming the film will be “Until Death” director Simon Fellows. Asked about the plot, Van Damme said “It has to do with something in the past.

Back in April we reported on a then unsubstantiated rumor that Sony was looking at bringing Dolph Lundgren and Jcvd back from the celebrity dead and into another Universal Soldier movie. We promised an update whenever we had more info so here it is; for all you Universal Soldier buffs out there, everything you need to know about the film that's being called Universal Soldier III: A New Beginning. For one thing the film now has a director, Simon Fellows, whose last film was actually Until Death with Jcvd, but who is also working on the much anticipated Malice in Wonderland with Maggie Grace. Unfortunately Lundgren and Van Damme are still only rumored to be attached but with Fellows on board and backing from Sony, I imagine its only a matter of time before they're reported as being attached. The film is currently skedded for a 2009 release date. Full synopsis after the break.

Some new casting has been announced for Simon Fellows' Malice In Wonderland (Sunderland), which will now star Maggie Grace (The Fog), Nathaniel Parker (The Haunted Mansion), Katia Winter, Bronagh Gallagher, Matt King and Paul Kaye. Mischa Barton appears to have been recast by race who is now topling the film alongside the previously announce Danny Dyer. Jayson Rothwells script has Alice re-imagined as an American student who is hit by a London taxi and finds herself disoriented in Sunderland, where she has to navigate a macabre underworld of characters. Alice In Wonderland has recently become public domain, which is why Hollywood seems to be focusing a lot on this classic tale.

Moviemaker Simon Fellows will no longer set his forthcoming remake of Lewis Carroll's classic Alice In Wonderland in Sunderland, England - due to lack of funding.
The film starring Mischa Barton - initially called Malice In Sunderland - was due to be shot in the city in north east England, but a $500,000 (GBP250,000) funding shortfall forced the picture's bosses to relocate.
Now Southend in Essex, south east England, has been named as the new setting and the film has been retitled Malice in Wonderland.
In the movie, Barton will play an American student who, having been hit by a London taxi, finds herself disoriented in a strange city.
Producer Albert Martinez-Martin, says, "There is no problem with Sunderland at all, the reasons being we have been looking at locations which are offering help in terms of funding.
"There is about GBP250,000 which we have lined up from Screen East in Southend and we are looking at locations there right now."
But the move has upset Tom Harvey, the chief executive of Northern Film and Media, the company which was due to work on the movie with Fellows and Martinez-Martin.
He says, "I think it is very sad it can't shoot in the north-east.
"We have over a GBP1 million ($500,000) to spend but that goes on local people. In this region, talent that lives and works here is more important than productions companies coming in."...
