Contrary to popular belief, the Doors did not disband when Jim Morrison died. The surviving band members recorded two additional albums, Other Voices and Full Circle.
The Doors was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 6901 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
Early on the band did not have a dedicated bass player, so for concert performances keyboardist Ray Manzarek would concentrate on the bottom end of his instrument to compensate for this absence.
