Enme is a queer artist from the state of Maranhão, a cultural producer, singer,
composer, and rapper, mixing regional rhythms and rap. Since 2014, she has been working with the dissemination and promotion of Hip Hop culture, circulating the stages of Brazil with her own songs and contagious choreographies. Awarded at the Largest Hip Hop Festival in Latin America as a revelation artist in 2019, the singer released her first EP "Pandú"; and had international prominence in Vogue Magazine.
Among the tracks on the EP are the songs "Killa", which references the reggae of her homeland, as well as "Juçara", which portrays the popular sayings of Maranhão. During Carnival 2020, Enme released the song "Batidão"; and sang for the first time in Recife-PE, in the Galo da Madrugada; alongside Romero Ferro and Pabllo Vittar. "Batidão" was released on digital platforms and became the soundtrack of the movie "Valentina". The same year, Enme also participated in the re-release of the ep "Modo Diverso"; the first queer rap album from Brazil, with Rico Dalasam. In 2021, Enme released the single "Kolapso"; with Monkey Jhayam. The afrofuturistic music video was shown on MTV Brasil and several other national television channels. With visual projects, Enme received nominations in international film festivals in the UK, the Lift Off Sessions; and the First Time Filmaker; in addition to the awards for Best Music Video (2020), Best Direction (2019), Best Music Video Performance (2019) and First Place (2020) in audiovisual festivals in Brazil. In 2022, Enme released her first studio album titled "Atabake". Created during the pandemic the project was inspired by Bairro da Liberdade, an urban quilombo where the artist resides. The album, divided into three acts, features a unique sound that mixes afropop, trap, funk and popular culture from Maranhão, boosting the "criola" musical movement beat, born in Maranhão. With tracks like "Dama Da Quebrada" and "Magia Negra", Enme's first album gained national prominence in mainstream media and attracted looks
of big brands for the Maranhão scene." Enme is a contestant in Amazon Prime Video's first season of "Queens on the Run".
