I miss my tonsils. I had them removed when I was 17 because they were infected and I'll admit that having infected tonsils sucked pretty badly and I wanted them removed at the time, but before they were taken out I never had sinus problems. To tell you the truth, I can't even remember being aware of what sinuses were, aside from those things they liked to light up on commercials for cold medicine like having a cold gave you glowing sinuses and that other people complained about a lot. Now? Oh, I know I have sinuses, they're where my colds start and (for a while) became infected once a year in the fall like clockwork. Thanks to my previous sinus-ignorant existence, it took me about a week to figure out what my first sinus infection was to the bitter amusement of many. Sunday morning I woke up with a cold...

It's the last of my Shark Week columns here and I know that most of you are going to be absolutely overjoyed about that. I mean, I'm still posting potential Shark Week theme songs over on my Twitter (Note: you don't have to join Twitter to see those, they're just there) and probably will be until Saturday night or I lose all my followers. Whichever comes first. Disappointingly, there are no first run Shark Week events on tonight, which kind of blows because it means I don't get to list any of them. And I know that all the Shark Week stuff has probably been a little over done but seriously, what the hell else is going in in the first week of August? We're hitting the worst part of the summer weather wise, there's still about six weeks if not more till most of the good TV comes back...

Fans would be happy to know that The Next Food Network Star will be coming back very soon for yet another season of heated competition inside the kitchen. In fact, the new season begins on Sunday, June 1st.
